The Jamaican international has swapped his loan on Humberside for one on Teeside.
Marlon King has passed his medical at Middlesbrough and will join the Teesiders on loan for the rest of the season today.
King was dismissed in disgrace from the KC Stadium prior to the Tigers' game with Arsenal at the weekend, after clashing angrily with uncompromising City manager Phil Brown over his omission from the starting line-up. King took exception to merely being amongst the substitutes, and was sent home in disgrace.
The situation was clearly beyond repair, and King today will swap his loan deal at Hull for one at Middlesbrough, with Boro's Egyptian striker Mido today mulling over an offer to move to the JJB Stadium. Now that King has moved to the Riverside, Mido's departure for Lancashire would seem to have become a probability rather than a possibility, though the Egyptian also claims to be considering offers from Spanish clubs.
King had started the season well for Hull, and looked like at last settling down after what has been a turbulent off-field career for the English-born Jamaican international, who this season alone has been involved in a fracas with former team-mate Dean Windass in a Yorkshire casino, as well as being arrested for the suspected assualt of a 20-year woman in a London nightclub that allegedly left her with a broken nose, and has been banned from driving after being caught speeding.
He has won 18 caps for Jamaica, scoring ten goals.
