Everyone is talking about how Beenie Man has turned over a new leaf and is making a concerted effort to be a role model for his son, Marco Dean. He has also warmed to his role as grandfather, making daily calls to his daughter Desha Gaye to ensure that his grand-daughter is doing well.

"Beenie Man got up early two mornings straight to go to his son's school to make sure that he gets properly acclimated at (school's name deleted) and the teachers are very pleased that both parents are there to get him used to his school; it's a good sign," a source close to the family told one876entertainment.com today.

"Marco Dean was very reserved on the first day as though he was wondering what was going on, but the second day was a little better...everyone is very pleased."

Marco Dean celebrated his second birthday last year.
