"I’ve been a Beyonce supporter since her early Destiny’s Child days. She’s a great singer, an equally good performer and maintains her edgy state presence while exhibiting an air of grace and poise offstage. I loved both her two solo albums, “Dangerously in Love” and “B’Day,” and anxiously await her upcoming release “I Am…” But I can’t help but notice—and point out to you—that she’s outsourced on both her two new, simultaneously released singles.
 
The first ballad, “If I Were a Boy,” not to be confused of the Ciara ballad of the same name, is actually a cover of a track by singer-songwriter BC Jean. The second uptempo track, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” is ultra catchy and the video, though probably very low-budget, features Beyonce and two backup dancers doing choreography we knew we’d seen before… and then it hit us. She totally based it on Bob Fosse's "Mexican Breakfast" which became a viral video favorite of ours last summer thanks to a dub-over of DJ Unk's "Walk It Out.”"
