Einstein still angry with Kartel

Einstein still angry with Kartel

Friday 10 October 2008 @ 2:48 pm

More than a year has passed and dancehall artiste Einstein is still venting his anger at his former friend Vybz Kartel.

At last weeks B**** Dem Fridays, held in Golding Spring, St Andrew, Einstein, real name Jermane Shaw, voiced his disapproval of Vybz Kartel. He said he will continue to talk about it whenever he feels like doing so.

Mi go everywhere and talk it. Mi nuh follow up things, but if mi go somewhere and feel like fi bun him out, mi bun him, said Einstein, who is now part of the Bounty-Killer-led Alliance.

Everybody know seh me and Kartel nuh gree from di incident wid me, him, Craig Dennis (now deceased) and some other people last year. From dat mi nuh really deal wid Kartel and him nuh deal wid me, Einstein told THE STAR.

Mi nah reconcile wid him. Anybody weh try fi hurt mi physically, mi nuh waan no friendship from dem.

Confrontation

The incident to which Einstein refers happened in June last year. Einstein was involved in a confronation with Craig Dennis and other men allegedly from the Vybz Kartel-led Portmore Empire at Dennis birthday party held at Rebel T headquarters on Dunbarton Avenue, St Andrew. Einstein claimed that Vybz Kartel turned his back on him by not intervening in the fracas.

Days after the incident, he said: Vybz Kartel turn him back pon mi. Mi lose offa him, cause is a yute weh mi rate, all to di ground weh him walk. Suh it hurt me when mi si him turn him back when mi need help. But mi know a tru di Alliance ting, but everybody know seh Einstein a one a di most determined yout inna di business, an dem wi neva get rid a mi.

When contacted Vybz Kartel refused to make any comment about Einstein or any other artiste in the dancehall industry.

Nonetheless, Einstein says he will continue to do music. He says his songs Soldier on the Day Rave rhythm and Gal Dem Roll are doing well in the dancehall. He also plans to release a video with both songs by next week. He says other songs like Black Rain Fall and Load Up are receiving heavy rotation in Barbados and Europe.

Cause wi a underground artiste, dat nuh mean seh wi nah do show, fly out and do song, said Einstein who has shows booked locally as well as in Trinidad, Antigua and Europe.

Einstein says Soldier will also be one of the tracks on his album which will be released next summer.
