Mr.Vegas quits the music bizz

A thankless, ungrateful music business and the attitude of a few entertainers are the driving forces that lead dancehall deejay Mr.Vegas to call it quits after 11 years. The deejay who is currently doing pretty well for himself, getting a lot of radio play, TV rotation and on several charts, says quitting the business was something he has thought about before and now hes had enough.

Mr. Vegas decision to pack up his CDs has sparked mixed reactions from music lovers and fans.

So whats next for Mr. Vegas? He tells music news that he has not made any plans for a new career and that his happiness and family are most important to him, right now. Meanwhile, veteran industry consultant, Clyde Mckenzie says while he can understand Mr Vegas frustration, he knows it is very hard for entertainers to quit considering music is usually their life. Mr. Vegas who won the 2006 IRIE FM Award for comeback artist of the year is known for the monster hits, Heads High, Nike Air, Hot Wuk, Tek Weh Yuself and this year's Daggerin. Last year, Vegas was forced to take a break from the music scene after being admitted to hospital for pericarditis and acid reflux. He has been receiving treatment for his medical problems.

ITs True Vegas aint 2 well at the moment He is surposed to be in Notingham near Birmingham U.K this Sat with Bass Odessy and more but the promoter just mek us know he ain't going to be there i also here Sunshine on irie fm mention it yesterday that he is retireing, Im sure he will be back if you love music u carn't leave it. So Vegas get well soon tek a rest then yea u will b ready again.
