findImg.php?pic_size=200&table_name=news_img_tab&table_field=img_id&img_id=1811 Veteran dancehall artiste Carlton Grant Sr. more popularly known as Spragga Benz is scheduled to bury his beloved son Carlton Grant Jr. today (September 13th).

Grant's funeral is set for the Our Lady of The Angels Church on Molynes Road and interment will take place at the Dovecot cemetery in St. Catherine. Grant leaves behind his mother father and other relatives and we the family of 876radio.com would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family in this their time of needs.

Young Carlton met his unfortunate demise on Saturday August 23rd when he and a friend were riding a bicycle in the vicinity of downtown Kingston. The two were accosted by the Police and summoned to stop, after they complied the lawmen claim one of the young man pulled a .45 pistol and fired at them. They took cover and returned fire. Moments later a search of the surroundings revealed Carlton suffering from gunshot wounds, while the other man escaped. He was later taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

However since the reports, many residents and alleged eyewitnesses including a young man claiming to be the compatriot of Carlton on that faithful night have refuted the claim of the Police saying that the unarmed youngster was gunned down in cold *lo**.

The matter is now being investigated and hopefully justice will be served to the family now in grief.
