ARSENE WENGER has blasted Manchester Citys new owners and fumed: We wont sell Cesc Fabregas even for £135million.
The sheikhs who own the Eastlands outfit say they want Gunners ace Fab and Manchester Uniteds Cristiano Ronaldo.
But Wenger said: The rules are there. Lets get them respected. You cannot come out and say next week we pay £250,000 to Ronaldo and £135million when the player has a contract with Man United. Its not possible or acceptable.
Arsenal manager Wenger also mocked Citys £32.5million signing of Robinho from Real Madrid.
The Brazil strike star wanted to join Chelsea but ended up at City the highest bidders.
Wenger added: What is worrying is that a player signs somewhere and then the next day he does not even know where he has signed. You cannot say that is a good trend.
Football is not a supermarket. There is money in the game and I take it in a positive way.
But the football bodies have to make sure money is ruled properly and used well for the ethic of the game.
Wenger fears the new foreign owners of Premier League clubs are killing off the managers role.
Alan Curbishley quit West Ham last week as players were sold behind his back by the clubs Icelandic owners.
Wenger added: On the Continent, at least you are informed on what kind of players you buy. It looks like some are not even informed any more.
It looks to be going a very worrying way. People who come from another country, they import the way people manage in their country. In England you had a tradition that was never questioned.
