Popular entertainer Barrington Levy is under police investigations following the beating of a man in Carty Hill, Clarendon, on Friday night.
The singer is accused of being among a group of men who allegedly attacked and beat Vincent Stewart, a report to the police said.
A subofficer at the Frankfield Police Station confirmed that they have received a report about the incident and are investigating. The officer said when Stewart came to the police station to make the report, no bruises were seen on him. He was sent to a doctor and they are awaiting a medical report on him.
Several attempts to get in touch with Levy yesterday proved futile.
Stewart, who has a child with Levys sister, told police that the alleged beating occurred about 8 p.m. at the singers business place.
Stewart said due to the injuries he sustained he had to visit the Percy Junor Hospital in Spaldings, Clarendon, where he was treated and sent home.
