Beenie Man was in awesome form at the Weddy Weddy Anniversary this morning, thrilling the crowd but also dissing Wee Pow of Stone Love Movements saying that he wasn't invited. He was so upset that he refused to perform on the stage instead choosing to do his thing from the bar section of the venue, the mike was passed to him over there.
"Wee Pow dem never invite me but mi still de ya a perform," he said, before doing some of 'drop-word' songs like Dun Know Say Dem Nuh Like Me.
Shane O showed that he is riding a groundswell of underground support when he devastated the Weddy Weddy anniversary at Stone Love HQ this morning with a well-received performance.
Emcee Nikki Z was just about to introduce Mavado to the crowd after being informed of the running order by Stampede, the stage manager. However, Shane O was already on the stage and the Z attempted to be diplomatic by asking the crowd who they wanted, the Alliance or Shane O . The crowd shouted Shane O. She asked them twice more who they wanted and the response was the same.
Then a confident Shane O took the microphone and declared: Some people nuh waan see mi strive, but who God bless, no man curseCrab inna Barrel waan draw me down he introed, then the crowd shouted, we nah go down, we nah go down. He deejayed a few verses with the crowd offering backup support, singing the verses and the chorus in one strong voice. He exited after doing the well-received Ghetto Prayer.
Afterwards, Mavado was at his best, giving the crowd a medley of his ultra-popular hits like Touch the Road, Im So Special and On the Rock, he got the most forwards after Beenie Man. Hezron did very well even distributing t-shirts during his performance, while Nesbeth, Tyrical and Bling Dawg performed too.
