Just over a week ago 876radio.com told you that Beenie Man had extended and invitation to the warlord Bounty and his protege Mavado to attend/perform at his upcoming 'Beenie Sizzle' event slated for August 6th at the Jamalco Sports Complex in Halse Hall, Clarendon.
However it seems that Bounty Killer and members of his camp are trying to be anything but friendly with the man who they labeled his nemesis for over a decade. Yesterday Julian Jones-Griffith, Head of Alliance Entertainment, who also manages Bounty and Mavado's career in an interview with the media shot down any hopes of his artistes making a cameo at that event.
To make matters worse last week a release was issued stating that they had booked the gully god Mavado for "Beenie Sizzle". In the midst of all the tongue wagging 876radio.com was contacted by Jones-Griffith who refuted the claims that eventually turned out to be an administrative error made by a member of the Khool Booking agency who failed to peruse the material before it was issued to the media.
According to Jones-Griffith, Mavado has another assignment on that day and the Warlord will be on an overseas engagement himself. Even though he issued the statement, be it intentional or not he failed to reveal details surrounding their engagements and now some dancehall insiders who are advocating for peace are wondering if it's just another ploy to avoid being in close confines with the Dancehall Doctor.
Last week event promoter, Cabel Jeffrey Stephenson of Free People Entertainment had issued a statment to the press saying that if Bounty or any of his Alliance cronies had showed up at the event they would have been treated with the outmost respect and be well catered for. Needless to say that has done nothing to sway the minds of Beenie's musical rivals.
I NEVER fail, i'm just SUCCESSFUL in finding out what doesn't work Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.
