A MAN died today after being repeatedly stabbed.

Officers were called to an address in Durrants Road, Bethnal Green, east London, in the early hours.

The man, in his early 20s, was found with stab wounds to his chest and arm.

Paramedics took him by ambulance to the Royal London Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A second man, also in his early 20s, was taken to hospital suffering from head injuries.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the second man was arrested in connection with the incident after being discharged from hospital.

He is in custody at an east London police station. It is believed the two men knew each other
