MARIETTA, GA (AP) -- A 14-year-old boy was killed and his 13-year-old sister was injured early Sunday when a truck crashed into their Cobb County bedrooms.
Police say Janette L. Eason of Dallas was likely drunk when she drove into the one-story home at about 3 a.m. after knocking down at least three mailboxes and small utility boxes in the neighborhood.
Elliot Savry was killed and his sister, Leah, sustained leg injuries in the crash.
The truck entered the Savrys' garage and then exited the home before crashing into Elliot's bedroom and running over him.
The truck pushed him through a wall into a second bedroom where Leah slept before finally stopping, pinning the girl against an exterior wall, her brother's body underneath.
Cobb County firefighters spent several hours pulling the teens from the wreckage.
Eason is in custody and charges are pending against her. Funeral arrangements for Elliot have not been announced.
