A COUPLE were arrested late last night on suspicion of killing their children.

Cops have confirmed two children were found suffering from stab wounds in a quiet south London suburb.

A boy, 5, and a girl, 4, were rushed to hospital but later died from their injuries .

A third child - aged six months - is fighting for her life.

The kids' parents - believed to be of Sri Lankan origin - were taken into custody at separate south London police stations for questioning.

Police were called to the horrific scene at 10.30pm last night.

They then arrested the father, 39, and the mother, 35, at the home in Park Lane, Carshalton, Surrey.

A Met Police spokesman said: The incident is believed to be domestic at this stage. A post mortem will follow.

The Met's Homocide and Serious Crime Command and Child Abuse Unit are investigating.
