A WOMAN has been jailed after trying to smuggle cocaine worth £360,000 into the UK strapped to kids LEGS.

Mexican Elisa Vazquez Sanchez, 40, was stopped at Heathrow Airport after using a girl of 11 and a boy of 13 to bring in 20lb of drugs.

She was sentenced to 9½ years after admitting smuggling at Isleworth Crown Court.

Judge Jonathan Lowen told Sanchez she should be ashamed of herself.

The children are in the care of social services.

HM Revenue and Customs chief Peter Avery said the use of children demonstrates the ruthless nature of drug gangs.
