Marquis McGruder, 17, appears before a judge on charges of murder.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A teenager accused of killing a 15-year-old at a Northside park last month will be tried as an adult. Marquis McGruder, 17, in custody since April 25, appeared before a judge Wednesday morning to hear the murder charge against him. McGruder is accused of shooting 15-year-old De'Juan Graham in the back of the head on April 23 at Buffalo Park.
Witnesses told police Graham was shot after he and Graham were seen arguing following a basketball game in the park. McGruder is being held without bond. His arraignment is scheduled for May 28.
