One876Entertainment.com received a release from Rodrick Reid, who was recently accused of molesting a boy he was supervising. He was arrested and charged last Tuesday by detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) in Kingston.
In the release, Reid denies the allegations against him. See release below:
Based on the advice of my attorneys-at-law, there is very little I can say concerning this matter before the Court. I AM INNOCENT OF THE CHARGES and in Jamaica I should enjoy the PRESUMTION of being INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN guilty. The matter is before a court of law and not a court of public opinion. In this regard, legal tests and principles will be applied to determine truth and accuracy. Therefore, I call for patience and good sense to prevail while the Court makes a determination in the matter.
Unless or until the Court hands down a guilty verdict, all that is being said in the papers and on websites remains unproven reports. I want everyone to bear this in mind and do not assume that mere publication makes a story true. This matter will not be resolved in the court of public opinion but in a Court of law, therefore, I am confident that justice will not only be done but APPEAR to be done.
I am grateful to my family, friends, former co-workers and well wishers who have been overwhelmingly supportive of me throughout this difficult time, please continue to pray for me.
