Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee told reporters today at a press conference held in Georgetown that the decision was made by the Bharrat Jagdeo administration after careful consideration of their track records.
The decision comes at the heel of a controversial end to a show headlined by Bounty Killer a couple weekends ago. The show ended after several break in performances due to faulty equipment and alleged gunfire.
This ban halts Mavados plans to perform in the country this weekend at the Linden Town Week celebrations alongside Lady Saw.
