A woman accused of pouring a corrosive substance on her brother, causing burns to his back, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Marcia Marsh is accused of throwing caustic soda at her brother, with whom she reportedly had a long-standing feud. The complainant told the court that on the day in question, he was at a pipe in the yard, washing his face. He said his sister told him to move, which he did, but later returned to wash his hands. He said while he was at the pipe, Marsh came out with the acid, and threw it on his back.
When Resident Magistrate Glen Brown asked about his relationship with his sister, the complainant told the court, "Mi live good wid har, Your Honour, but she nuh live good wid mi."
RM Brown told the court, " A person who uses acid on another person is wicked you know."
Marsh was eventually granted bail in the sum of $100,000 with surety and was ordered to move from the residence she shared with her brother.
She was also told to give her prints to the police and is to return to court on May 29.
