The inaugural staging of the benefit concert dubbed The Gospel Train hits the Fitz John Community Action Centre (St. Johns Methodist Church Hall), corner of Humber Avenue and Duke Street in Montego Bay on Labour Day, May 23, 2008.
The event, which is being organized by the Mens Fellowship Department of the Door of Faith Church of God, will be staged under the distinguished patronage of Bishop Terrence and Pastor Melva Gordon.
The concert will feature the likes of Acappella Flames, Norris Gayle, Gospel Melodians, Rev. Paul Blake of Sold Out Ministries, Clive Warren, 2006 Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Gospel Festival Winner, Saviours Anointed Servants among others.
Proceeds of the event will go to the West Haven Home for disabled children situated at Lethe in Copse, Hanover.
The home now houses 83 children and operates with a small subsidy from the government. It needs financial donations from other agencies to satisfy its daily needs.
