Two boys, both 13, were taken into protective custody under the Child Care and Protection Act last Thursday, after it was revealed that they were arguing over a ganja spliff.
Reports are that the schoolboys from an adjoining district in Yallahs, got into a tussle, after one of the boys made claim to the spliff saying it was given to him by a friend.
The other boy claimed that the weed that produced the spliff belonged to him.
The police were called when a knife was brought into play and it was observed that the smaller size boy was chasing his colleague in a menacing way with knife in hand.
The boys were taken into custody by the police while investigations were on the way to ascertain how the youngsters came to have had such a conflict over an illicit substance.
