A 33-year-old tiler was arrested following the seizure of an illegal firearm in Steer Town, St Ann on Thursday morning.
Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition is Errol Broady, otherwise called 'Glen' of Steer Town.
Reports are that about 10:00 a.m., a police operation was carried out in the Steer Town community. During the exercise, Broady was seen acting in a suspicious manner. He was accosted and searched and a .38 revolver and ten .38 cartridges were found in his possession.
He was subsequently arrested and charged and is booked to appear in the St. Ann's Bay Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday, April 17.
