Portmore United moved to the top of the table in the Cash Plus Premier League (CPPL) after a 2-1 win against struggling August Town at Ferdie Neita Park in Portmore in a late game on Sunday.
The Linval Dixon-coached Portmore joined Tivoli Gardens on 53 points, however Portmore enjoy a superior goal difference. Boys Town who suffered a 1-2 defeat to Waterhouse at Drews Land Stadium lie in third on 43 points.
In other results, it was: Arnett Gardens 1, Village 3 at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex; Reno 3, St. Georges SC 1 at STETHS in St. Elizabeth; Sporting Central Academy 0, Tivoli 0 at Brancourt in Clarendon; and Seba United 0, Harbour View 0 at Jarrett Park in St. James.
