There was a huge fracas between a trio of gay revelers and members of the public on Sunset Avenue in Half Way Tree yesterday during the annual Jamaica Carnival road march. According to an eyewitness account, the parade was snaking its way through the area near to the Canadian High Commission is located, when a couple of gays began dancing wildly with each other in front of a truck.

"As the parade neared the car wash section, some gays began to jump and ah split like woman and ah wine up wine up," a female eyewitness said.

At first, there was no reaction, but then angry people from the sidelines began to hurl insults and registered their disgust by throwing a couple of plastic bottles at the men. One of the gay revelers then opened his purse and took out a dark glass bottle and threw it at the people on the sidewalk. Then the melee started

"They started to throw bottles too, until one of the gay's head bust up," she told One876Entertainment

At one point they ran off in the opposite direction, regrouped, and come back. The trio came armed and one gay in particular was very persistent and confrontational.

"He behaved like a real skettel and began shouting and carrying on in a more outrageous manner, and then did mek some bottle rain down pon him."

Afterwards, the police had to escort the gays out of the area before the situation got out of control. But the crowd was not done yet.

"There was a police car in front, and a police van behind with them inside, and the people started to fling and mash up the right hand side of the van," another eyewitness said.

"Last year, they did it and got away doing splits and pure tings in New Kingston rounda Mas Camp, this year, dem luck run out, dem too bright wid it now!"
