A COUPLE were jailed for a total of 25 years yesterday for the evil sexual abuse of two kids.

Nicolette Sleep, 36, played a leading role in subjecting the victims to horrors, misery and violence over five years.

The abuse started when the girl was about eight and the boy 14.

They were forced to watch porn films during some sex assaults because Sleep thought it would be a bit of fun.

She used them as a sex toy and encouraged husband Trevor, 43, to carry out sex assaults.

The couple, of Hatherleigh, Devon, were found guilty of various sex charges at Exeter Crown Court. Judge Graham Cottle described Mrs Sleep as cunning, manipulative and violent without a shred of remorse.

Jailing her for 15 years on seven charges, he said: The word evil should be used sparingly - it is the only word I can think of which is appropriate in this case.

Mr Sleep, described as a willing participant, was jailed for ten years.
