Even though Dancehall bad boy Mavado has been getting a lot of flack for his music his career still seems to be on the rise. Just recently the gully god teamed up with Hip Hop mega star Jay-Z for the remix of "On the Rock" also known as "Never Stop Me" on the Mission riddim produced by acclaimed music producer Baby G.
The song features the jigger man spitting some very slick and greasy rhymes over Mavado's melodic voice, while he ask the heavenly one to watch over his enemies.
The song was premiered recently on a popular radio station in New York and according to a listener Jay-Z killed the dude on his own track , but we beg to differ as we thought it was a good effort but Mavado is still the real star.
The song is creating quite a buzz in the Tri-state area and may spill over to a possible spike in album sales even though the tracks in not a part of the official compilation released last summer.
