A 44-year-old Jamaican, who is an alleged hit-man, was on February 15th extradited from New York to Connecticut in the United States to face a murder charge.
Winston 'Mutt' Grant, also known as Winston Watkins has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and is being held in lieu of a one million dollar bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court on February 19th.
He has been accused of conspiring in the January 31st fatal shooting of fellow Jamaican, Maurice Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was found in a parking lot lying in a pool of *la*hd.
He had multiple gun shot wounds to the head.
Grant was convicted of two counts of murder for the killing of a store-owner and his girlfriend in 1990.
He was sentenced to two life terms in prison, but his conviction was later overturned on a technicality by the State Supreme Court.
The state was later forced to drop the murder charges against him when its key witness to the murders disappeared.
Grant was subsequently deported to Jamaica.
However, he was picked up by the police last week in Bronx, New York and extradited to Connecticut to face this new charge of murder.
