Blunts In Amsterdam

An email I received asked if Amsterdam coffeeshops sell blunts. I explained that it is quite rare over here. For those of you who don't know, blunts are made by rolling weed inside a cigar wrap. The cigar can be anything from a Garcia Vega to a fine Cohiba Esplendido. Many people in the US use smaller Phillies Blunt Cigars. These were a big fad when I visited a few years ago... I even saw some old lady walking around New York with a GET BLUNTED ski cap on!!! Over here in Holland most people who smoke spliffs mix their weed with tobacco and use regular papers. The use of a cigar leaf wrap isn't normally seen here. Some of my Carribbean bretheren use the style here in a true blunt fashion; huge 4 gram spliffs with sweet smooth draws. Definitely a unique way to get blasted! To answer the question, there is a new product called Royal Blunts which are just the plain leaves that you may use to roll your own. Besides that, I have seen a pre-rolled blunt-like product for sale in A'dam about 3 years ago, but I'm not sure if I even smoked it! It was in a blue plastic tube, and someone gave it me for New Year's Eve. I was already so outta my head that I don't even remember smoking it. I do remember looking at the label and thinking "Cool, a big blast for this party!" That's it. I found the empty tube in my heavy overcoat pocket the next evening... It was filled with broken bits of paper beer mats! Don't ask... I didn't.
