This story is the reason why it make sense to go to school and be attentive in class, especially during the English session.

Just last Thursday at the EME awards held in the Gardens at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel by broadcaster Richie B, self proclaimed deejay, L.A. Lewis was asked to be a presenter and found himself in a bit of a predicament.

According to some patrons, Lewis who was dapperly dressed in an all-white ensemble took the stage to make a presentation alongside Paul Elliot and upon opening the coveted red envelope to reveal the winner his native tongue (english) failed him miserably, (guess he should have been doing his homework, instead of on the streets spray painting his name all over the city).

In making the announcement he utters and we quote "..and the category goes to", that raised a few eyebrows before he tried to redeem himself with ".. and the Nominee goes to". At this point several jaws dropped and some folks just shook their heads in disbelief while others couldn't contain their laughter.

Finally the good Lord must have knocked him over his head when he blurted out "..Oh sorry and the Winner is..." needless to say that brought a sudden sense of hope back to the show and the image of fellows entertainers who were in the house.

So L.A. Lewis if you're out there reading this MZJAradio.com would just like to say, 'School is Cool' ..oh! and we look forward to hearing even one song from you in 2008, because the silence is deafening.
