The body of 24-year-old Alair Walters otherwise called "Sonny" of Sunlight Street, Kingston 13 was found with gunshot wounds on a playing field at Maxfield Avenue, on Monday night.

Police reports are that at 8:45 p.m., Walters was on the playing field when he was approached by a man armed with a gun who shot him several times. He died on the spot. The police were summoned and the crime scene processed. The Hunts Bay CIB is investigating.

In St. Catherine two men were shot while building a wall at a house on Monday afternoon.

The two labourers were shot, one fatally by gunmen at St. Johns Road, Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

Dead is James Douglas 56, whilst injured is a 41-year-old man both of St. Johns Road.

Constructing wall

Police reports are that at 4:10 p.m., Douglas and the other man were constructing a concrete wall at their home when they were approached by two gunmen. After a brief conversation, the gunmen fire shots hitting both men several times. They were taken to hospital where Douglas was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition. The Spanish Town CIB is investigating.

The Morant Bay police are also investigating a murder in St Thomas.

The cops are trying to determine the reasons for the death of a man at Curtis Bottom, Port Morant, St. Thomas last night.

Dead is 39-year-old Ortnell Smith of Port Morant, St. Thomas. According to reports from the CCN's Liaison Officer for St. Thomas, at 10:00 p.m., residents heard explosions and called the police. When the police arrived, Smith's body was found with multiple gunshot wounds on a roadway in the community
