January 16, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that the 2008 G-Unit budget came out - and word is that two of its top acts are not getting any funding. A person claiming to be familiar with the new budget told us, "With the cuts, tough choices had to be made. And Lloyd Banks and Mobb Deep projects have to be shelved ... I don't think that they'll be officially 'dropped,' but they won't be getting much label support either."
But other G-Unit artists are safe. The purported insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "Young Buck and Tony Yayo are expected to release albums in 2008."
With all that's going on with Prodigy, we understand shelving Mobb Deep, but what's up with Banks????
