Lil' Wayne Sued Over 1999 Bentley Arnage

By Chris Richburg

Cash Money Records rapper Lil Wayne is at the center of a new lawsuit for breach of contract over a 1999 Bentley Arnage.

The breach of contract lawsuit was filed by attorney Daniel R. Price, on behalf of his client LeMarck deAndre on, Dec. 18, 2007 in the Superior Court of California in Alameda County.

The lawsuit the New Orleans bred rapper of "non-payment" of over $91,000 dollars left to be paid on the Bentley, which is burgundy, with a cream/tan interior.

In addition to Lil Wayne (born Dwayne M. Carter), the suit names Cash Money Records and Carter's record label Young Money Entertainment as defendants.

The case is the latest legal situation involving Cash Money Records and Lil Wayne.

In August, a woman filed a $1 million lawsuit against Lil Wayne, claiming that she was injured during a concert at Morgan State University following a mini-riot that erupted, after he threw a wad of money into the crowd.

In September, a second $1 million dollar lawsuit was filed against the rapper by another student, who claims she was "impaled" on a fence during the money tossing incident.

Cash Money CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams was also the subject of a recent copyright lawsuit last week, brought on by various publishing companies.

The music publishers accuse Cash Money Records of failing to pay sampled artists royalties on records the label has sold.

Musically, Lil Wayne is gearing up to release his long awaited new album The Carter III.

The release, which is preceded by the rappers online album The Leak EP, is slated to hit stores in February.

The Leak EP is available now online through Amazon, Rhapsody and iTunes.
