One876Entertainment.com invites you to join us in wishing dancehall artiste Adidja Palmer more popularly known as Vybz Kartel happy birthday. Today is the deejays Vybz Kartel's birthday.

kartel3.jpgVybz Kartel scored two number one hits last year with Beyonce Wine and Wine Pon You, is an accomplished songwriter and the de facto leader of the Portmore Empire. Vybz Kartel was born at Kingston's Victoria Jubilee Hospital. Originally from Waterhouse, Kingston, he was raised in the Waterford community of Portmore, St. Catherine. Adidja attended Calabar High School in Kingston but was expelled as a teenager.

Determined to continue his education, he completed his studies at a tutorial technical school. He began his recording career in 1993, and after being discovered by deejay Bounty Killer in 2002-3, he began to assert himself as a musical force to reckon with, becoming a key member of the Alliance before striking off on his own in 2006.
