The Bahamians had a dancehall feast on December 29 Dance Fest that was held at Fort Charles in Nassau.
Promoted by Island Entertainment and Baker Boys the show features Voice Mail, CeCile, Lady Saw, Assassin and Vegas out of Jamaica.
It was a night for strong performances and some great dancehall vibes.
Following some talented local acts Voice Mail took the stage at 1:30 am. For 20 minutes they had the crowd working up a sweat as the group carried them through their hot dance moves.
CeCile was next and she walked on stage heralded by shout of appreciations. She easily took command of the audience as she went into some of her popular hits.
Goody Goody, Can You Do The Wuk, Changes and new songs Ride or Die and Seven Days were the diet she dished out to them.
But it was the song that is taking the scene by storm now Im Waiting that garnered the most response for CeCile.
Assassin was next on stage and he continued the energetic vibes with songs such as We Are The Roughest and Sissy.
The pace changed when the mumma of dancehall Lady Saw took the stage. Her 45-minute raunchy set had the crowd getting instructions how to do the Back shot with Saw going into her other numbers like Walk Out, Chat To Mi Back and other hits.
Putting the cap on the night performances was Mr. Vegas who came on stage at 3:00 am and had the audience in a frenzy as he did crowd favourites such as Sucky-Ducky, Heads High, Nike Air, Lean wid It, Tek Weh YuhSelf and the song which can still drive his audience crazy Hot Wuk amongst other.
Vegas put an end to what was a good production.
Emcee for the show was Empress a Bahamian radio disc jock.
