January 02, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com was one of the first news sources in the world to tell you that R Kelly cut Ne-Yo from his North American tour last month. Now Ne-Yo has taken his grievances to court.
In a legal document obtained by The Smoking Gun, Ne Yo is claiming that he lost $785K in earnings when he was dropped. Here is what TSG reports:
The singer Ne-Yo (real name: Shaffer Smith) claims that he was set to earn $785,000 for opening for Kelly at a minimum of 25 concerts. But he says was bounced from the tour after a pair of shows in mid-November, though audience reaction to his set was strong. In a December 31 Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit, Shaffer, 28, alleges that he was dumped because crowd and press reaction to his performance was "more favorable" than R. Kelly's notices.
hmmm... so what r. kelly fired him so even if he was suppose to earn so much, it doesnt matter cause he got fired. If ur workplace fires u, are u going to drag them to court to say that, thats the amount u should have made working there?
The most ne-yo can get is the payment for the performance he did before he got booted
I heard about this a few months ago, Where Ne Yo said RKelly was weird. No one could be in the hall way when Kelly was on his way to the stage. They called it code blue, everyone had to stay in there rooms until he went through. So if Jay Z kicked Rkelly off his tour and Now Rkelly kickin ppl from his.....plus his case is suppose to start sometime soon. Crazy ppl!
