Sting never lived up to expectations

The word on the street is that Guinness Sting failed to live up to expectations. According to reports from some of the patrons their was no 'bite' in this year's staging.

Beenie Man's presence was definitely lacking as his charisma and the energy he brings to the fore would definitely be more than welcomed.

That aside there were some winners for the night Ninja Man without a doubt lived up to what was expected of him and then some. He gave a super charged performance and had the crowd going with his incisive lyrics and comical stance on stage.

The veterans such as Josey Wales and George Nooks held their own also.

Prestige had a field day especially with the song that has been doing well for him now 'Wi Nuh Trust Dem.'

And the artiste that has many tongues still wagging is Mavado who was slated to perform at 12:45 but actually never hit the stage until minutes to 4 am. He was in total control of the crowd with lyrical loaded ammunition such as "Full Clip," "Weh Dem A Sey," "Bawl Dem A Bawl" among others. But what he received rating for is the fact that he took time out of his performance to hail up Vybz Kartel and we all know the drama there!

Giving good account of themselves at Guinness Sting were Jigsy King, Cutty Corn, Captain Barkey and Wickerman, Assassin, Bugle and Busy Signal.

Bounty Killer who was slated to closed the show did not but before leaving the stage he referred to Beenie Man as 'Fisheenie.' He did his thing, along with his twin counterpart K Queens.

Vybz Kartel and the Portmore Empire closed the show with a not so stunning perfomance and brought the curtains down on what wasn't a very exciting night.

Next year promoters need to adhere to the running order and ensure that there is some semblance of proper organization in place.

Well, di dun did preach it still, No show isnt a real show without d King. Big up to Vado an Spice mi hear say a unu lock it. Addi, Killer get coward an go perform early, bcuz him no waah close d show, so being d Kartel that u are u stepped up to d plate, it never turn out so gud, but u show say u ano pusssy

Anybody coward more than fisheenie???????????.....nooooooooooo! Fisheenie not being at sting waz not the reason for this. The promoter mix up danchall and culture dats why it flop in a way. But alliance and spice bring it back! And Even though kartel closed the show him still nuh get nuh fawud nuh typical vybz kartel fawud. why? him dis him dadz! When yoh bite the hands that feed you thats what happen.

lol. a man can say anything now inno,lol all me can say is that Beenie never go sting an it never turn out too gud, mi nuh bizniz bout all the technicalities, an culture an dancehall segments, an who fa shoes did a squeeze dem,lol. Kartel never mash up di place bcuz ano any artist can perform at 8am in d morning an mash up d place, ONLY d King, an mi hav facts fi bac dat, jus watch di past 10 stings. Kartel is a lyrical artistes him nah go bring d energy wah d crowd need at 8 am. But my point is................ Kartel kno say killa was supposed to close d show an killa run go work early, so tru addi a lion heart him jus go work same way. No artist no tek up da responsibility deh fi close shows di whole a dem fraid, cuz ano ez thing fi do. DATS Y MI ALWAYS SAY BOY A BOY AN KING A KING, ADDI A LION HEART, PROPS STR888 EMPEROR.

Nobody else caah do it ano run him run it down d others jus fraid fi close shows, do a survey an see. From the new era wa a cum up now, Busy a di best performer, Mavado an the rest really survive offa d heat of dem songs rather than actual performances, cuz hot songs must get forward a stage show. Not sayin dats a bad thing cuz mi like most a vado an d others performance same way. but in order for their performance to be hot dem affi have nuff hot tunes a road, Busy more look like a natural performer, like a beenie an a ninja man.

U a killa fan Str8, an u dun kno mi a Beenie fan, but at d same time, mi still luv how we jus reason an no bag a fukry never did a talk, like no whole heep a loose argument, an carry feelins ting like wa mi see some yute a gwaan wid inna d forum dem, dats y me kinda choose who fa comment dem to reply to, uzimmi. At d end of d day Beenie a di King still. mi kno say a grung gad u say.
