Dancehall fans are hoping that Beenie Man will change his mind and decide to perform at this years Guinness Sting concert even though word on the street is that he is commanding a hefty performance fee in the region of several million dollars.
However, Beenie Mans management is insisting that Beenies decision not to do Guinness Sting is not a monetary one.

On Monday, Beenie Man appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates courts civil division where his lawyers told the court that they were attempting obtain documents from Shocking Vibes, so that they would be in a better position to negotiate with the Tax Department so that he can begin to make restitution. He owes the Jamaican government $48 million, inclusive of penalties. Beenie Man will return to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court next year in late January.
