Growing up in Ja. I never thought that a person could be born being attracted to members of their own gender. In my family there was a cousin that always hung around his mother and the girls. He was softspoken and we didn't really toughen him up like the other boys because he didn't play football or wrestle with us. He was always suspected but never confirmed. We used to laugh about him until he came out on his myspace page. Jamaicans are very homophobic so he did not learn this from us and he always behaved very feminin. Is a person born this way or do they learn from someone. What do you think?

Science contradict itself by saying on one hand that it genetically programmed into people and then the experts say that whatever a person becomes fixated on sexually is what they are attracted to. That is why they say they cannot cure Pedophilia, Bestiality and other sexual disorders. IE Homosexuality. However there are clinics that reform homosexuals which add more weight to the argument of choice. They make the choice through therapy to start being hetrosexual. By choice definatly.

ok u asked the question if being a homosexual is genetic meaning in the genes or just simply a matter of choice but in order to answer that question using your example of your cousin it would take me asking u a question is there anymore members of your family that are gay?, if not i guess its just a matter of choice but if the answer is yes which i seriously doubt then its in your genes (SO U NEED A NEW WARDROBE LOL) but seriousy its a matter of choice in my opinion

influence an choice, but mainly influencial due to the fact everybody is different and how they are treated (denied by a group of popularuty or watever that make them pick up the wrong crowd) whether by frends or family (like sissy). An as i seh, psychological factors that interact wid the specific person's attribute gives the result of some indulging in ...certain acts outta curiosity or seeking of acceptance.

But jah know, from the BIBLE a preach it, how di bakside some god fearing man an woman......aahh bwoyy, imagine 2050 yo raaass, heterosexuals goin haffi hide inna sewer!!!

@tallp no other other members of the family is gay. Every post has supported the argument of choice over genetics. Like Matty say it was classified as a disease or genetic variation to gain sympathy and garnish tolerance.

@chronic 387 you know something about the year 2050 the rest of us don't.
