Dancehall artiste D'Angel says that she is yet to get an explanation from her husband, Beenie Man, as to what is really happening between him and another artiste, Barbee, who was reportedly cuddling at the recently held Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest.

Speaking with THE STAR late last night, D'Angel who got married to Beenie less than a year ago said she saw the pictures and article in yesterday's edition of the paper, which reported that her husband was seen with Barbee on Saturday, two days after he had performed on the festival.

"I am reading what you read and we (Beenie Man) haven't communicated. I leave it to our Jamaican public to decide, but it don't look good to me," she said.

D'Angel however refused to express how she felt emotionally about the situation; "I don't have anything to say at this time or anytime soon. Situations like these I just leave it alone."

Child is priority


While the future of their marriage seems to be hanging in the balance, D'Angel is more concerned about their child, Marco-Dean. "I don't know her (Barbee) or dem and dem life. A me and my child, and me a try raise him di best way possible," she said.

Two nights after performing on Reggae Sumfest, Beenie Man and Barbee were spotted frolicking in the VIP section at the summer reggae festival. Both openly showed affection in front of the patrons and some persons expressed their disgust.

This incident comes a year after Beenie made a public appearance at the very same event with then very pregnant D'Angel.

In the meantime, neither Beenie nor Barbee, who is the featured singer in one of his latest videos, have said anything about the situation.

Yesterday THE STAR news team tried for several hours to contact Barbee for a comment, but were instead given the run around by her management team. A family member later told the news team that she will be willing to give an interview about the situation at a later date.
