International recording star Vegas has been hospitalized in the Tony Thwaites Wing at the Univeristy Hospital of the West Indies since Tuesday of this week.
Reliable sources has informed media that the singjay had been complaining of chest pains and was admitted, and a battery of tests run on his heart condition. Chances are that he could miss this years Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest because of his medical condition, but his camp is holding out for a positive prognosis from doctors.
The singjay's Hot Wuk number one single featuring Opal and Hottaball is blowing up on urban radio stations in the USA like HOT97, Royal Radio, et al. In April, Vegas missed a number of engagements after doctors ordered him to take two weeks bed rest after being diagnosed with pericarditis, which is an inflammation of the lining around the heart (the pericardium) causing chest pain and accumulation of fluid around the heart.
