The police believe that a man they arrested on Saturday may be the person that is responsible for several recent cases of boys being sexually molested after being enticed with toys, games and other gifts.

Reports from the Centre for Investigations of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA), are that there has been recent reports of a male individual who lured young boys from various addresses in and around the Corporate Area with gifts before sexually assaulting them.

The man was reportedly held about 7 p.m after he was alleged to have molested a 12-year-old boy under similar circumstances to the reported cases. The accused is scheduled to take part in an ID parade to prove if he is connected to these reports.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Herfa Beckford, head of CISOCA, said that they are still uncertain if the man is connected to the reported incidents. "We are not able to say if it is definitely him that we have held who is responsible for all the acts, but all the reports that we have received are of the same nature," DSP Beckford told THE STAR.

CISOCA is now seeking the assistance of the public in determining if the man recently arrested is in fact the guilty culprit.
