BillClinton-180x180.jpgBill Clinton was in Jamaica last week, and he advised Caribbean governments to reduce costly dependence on imported fuels by turning to renewable energy:

Former United States president, Bill Clinton, is encouraging Jamaica and other Caribbean countries to become more self efficient in regard to energy generation.

Clinton made the call while delivering a lecture in Kingston on Monday night under the theme Embracing our Common Humanity.

The Jamaica Gleaner reported that Clinton disclosed that the Caribbean has the highest cost for electricity in the world, with Jamaicans paying three times more for the services than consumers in the United States.

He said that Caribbean governments need to utilise natural sources of energy in order to reduce dependency on expensive sources.

He also said that pursuing a path of using clean, renewable energy represents the greatest opportunity for economic and social growth for the Caribbean.

Diversified energy policy will help the Caribbean to become more competitive, Clinton said.

From the Jamaica Gleaner:
In the presence of political leaders, past and present, Clinton, the 42nd US president, said that instead of relying on fuel they should put to good use the natural resource that is solar energy.

The Caribbean could be the first part of the world that could be entirely energy sufficient, and that could happen in Jamaica, he said.

3702947489_2bd3d6be061-180x180.jpgUNITED STATES Magistrate Anthony Porcelli yesterday approved a security company that Jamaican Reggae star Buju Banton has expressed an interest in contracting to provide him with 24-hour security as part of his bail condition.

Porcelli has also approved the $350,000 Miami property put up by Stephen Marley, the son of Reggae legend Bob Marley, as collateral for Bantons bond.

But despite the development in the Sam M Gibbons federal court, Banton will have to remain in jail as the prosecution will be appealing Porcellis decision to approve the security company the Jamaican artiste wants to hire to ensure he sticks to the previous conditions of his house arrest.

The prosecution has five days to file its appeal.

Bantons lead attorney, David Oscar Markus, was yesterday livid at what he said was the repeated attempts by Prosecutor James Preston to keep his client behind bars.

The Governments dogged attempt to keep Buju behind bars is disheartening, Markus told the Observer.

Banton has been in jail since last December, following his arrest at his Tamarac South Florida home. He was granted $250,000 bail earlier this month after a panel of 12 jurors failed to reach a verdict in his drug and weapon trial in September.

As part of his bail condition, Banton, whose real name is Mark Anthony Myrie, will be placed under house arrest and will be required to wear a tracking device, pending the outcome of his retrial in December.

If released, Banton will have to remain at home other than when he wants to purchase medication, see his attorney or attend court.

Yesterday, attorney Marc Seitles, who handled the hearing on Bantons behalf, was delighted at the outcome.

We achieved a bond today and we are happy that Judge Porcelli reaffirmed that Buju is entitled to be released on bond, said Seitles.

If Banton successfully beats back the appeal, he will have to seek another bond in the immigration court as his entertainment visa was revoked upon his arrest.

Banton is facing a charge of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute five kilogrammes of cocaine and possession of a weapon during the furtherance of a crime. His two co-defendants, Ian Thomas and James Mack, have both pleaded guilty and will be sentenced next month.

Goo goo Gaga.. yup thats the baby sound.. and babies are in the air.. first we heard Busy Signals BABYmother appears to be fooling around with Vybz Kartel aka di Bleacha aka Mr Cake Soap..and then we heard that Vybz Kartel was not only expecting one more BABY from his 'wife' Mrs Shawty Palmer ..but also he is expecting one BABY from a young lady called Amanda. His rival is certainly not left out..word out is that Mavado is expecting his fifth BABY from his fifth BABYmother. DJ Spice is also well advanced with her second BABY well underway.
There were rumours on the international scene that Beyonce was expecting a BABY as well---but that one was denied by her affiliates.
Now Marion Hall aka Lady saw who was pissed for being scheduled to open the Guinness Celebration stage show over the last weekend is making provisions to try and have a BABY. Lady Saw tried several times before and was not successful. She also indicated her wanting to give it another try had nothing to do with the fact that Spice is having a BABY, though there is lot of BABY stuff being aired all over the place so Lady Saw being 41 years young and always wanted a child, I guess now is the time to see if its contagious

US and European authorities are attempting to thwart what appears to be an ongoing bomb plot in which more than a dozen potential bombs were shipped to the US aboard numerous air carriers, federal sources told ABC news.

The devices may have been distributed onto UPS cargo trucks in New York and possibly New Jersey. So far no active devices have been found in the United States, officials said.

Other potential devices have been found in London, according to ABC News. It is unknown how many if any of those suspected devices were live.

Authorities in the U.K. said officials discovered that a toner cartridge on one plane had been manipulated and found wires attached to it and white powder. A senior FBI official says explosive tests run on the package in Birmingham, England were negative.

New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey authorities as well as federal authorities are attempting to track down the suspected improvised devices and bomb technicians are on the scene of the numerous suspected devices already located at banks in Queens and at other locations.

One of the UPS flights landed at Newark Airport, and the plane was taken to the UPS cargo facility to get checked out.

The New York Police Departments bomb squad also stopped a UPS truck on the Queensboro Bridge as part of the investigation. Authorities also checked packages at a facility in Queens and another location in Brooklyn.

Two planes were also getting checked in Philadelphia.

The planes involved: UPS Flight 218, a Boeing 767 that departed Paris and landed in Philadelphia; UPS Flight 204, a MD 11, that was scheduled to depart Philadelphia for Louisville; A UPS Flight that arrived at Newark Airport from somewhere in Europe, off loaded packages at their loading dock. That cargo area is now being searched.

Operations at the two airports have not been impacted.

While details remain sketchy, ABC News reports it appears England was a transshipment point in the plot in which devices were believed to be placed aboard cargo planes for shipment to targets in the U.S.

It is unknown who is behind the plot, nor how authorities learned of it.

ABC News reports British police were already investigating suspicious packages there on Thursday, according to two US sources.

Bomb technicians, TSA bomb appraisal officers and emergency service officers are involved in the investigation in Queens, Newark and Philadelphia at this time, officials said.

The Transportation Security Administration says it is aware of the situation and monitoring the investigation.

Out of an abundance of caution the planes were moved to a remote location where they are being met by law enforcement officials and swept, the TSA said in a statement.

Telecommunications company LIME, whose LimeWire software allows people to share songs and other files over the internet, has received a federal injunction to disable key parts of its service.

LimeWire's founder, Mark Gorton, has been wrestling in court with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for the last four years.

The RIAA contends that LimeWire's software encourages illegal sharing of copyright-protected music.

In May, LIME was found liable for copyright infringement.

The injunction, issued by US District Court in New York, compels LIME to disable LimeWire's searching, downloading, uploading, file trading and distribution features, effective immediately.

A release issued by LimeWire said they are out of the file sharing business however they are working on a new piece of software that will comply with copyright laws.

BP, Halliburton knew of unstable cement mixture, but gave green-light anyway for use at the Gulf of Mexico well, which exploded April 20, killed 11 workers and resulted in the largest offshore oil spill in U.S. history.

yahoooilstops2.jpg

ATLANTA -- Weeks before the Deepwater Horizon explosion, oil company BP and subcontractor Halliburton were aware of tests results showing that the cement mixture designed to seal the well was unstable -- but they used the mixture anyway, President Barack Obama's special commission investigating the environmental disaster reported Thursday.

The findings shed new light on troubles with the cement job on BP's Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico, which exploded April 20, killed 11 workers and resulted in the largest offshore oil spill in U.S. history. The cement secures the well pipes and keeps oil and gas from flowing up the well.

Legal experts said the information could help to bolster plaintiffs cases in the multitude of spill-related lawsuits by helping to show that BP acted with gross negligence leading up to the spill. This could, among other issues, greatly increase the multibillion-dollar penalties BP might have to pay for violation of the Clean Water Act.

"There's no question that it's important evidence," said Charlie Tebbutt, an attorney for the Center for Biological Diversity, which has filed a lawsuit seeking $19 billion under the Clean Water Act. "It serves to confirm the previous reports of significant problems with the exploration and production of the well."

The information was included in a letter to Obama's commission by Fred. H. Bartlit, Jr., its chief counsel and represents the first significant findings by the group.

David Uhlmann, a law professor at the University of Michigan who formerly headed the Justice Department's Environmental Crimes Section, said the findings make it appear more likely that justice officials will file criminal charges not only against BP and Transocean, the rig's owner, but also against Halliburton, the Texas oilfield services giant once headed by former vice president Dick Cheney.

"There have been questions all along about the integrity of the cement job, and today those questions loom larger, and are closer to being answered," Uhlmann said. "And those answers are not good ones for Halliburton."

In the letter, Bartlit said that his team recently asked Halliburton to turn over samples of the cement materials used at the well. The materials were tested by Chevron employees at a Houston lab. The employees were "unable to generate stable foam cement" from the materials, meaning the cement would not be strong enough to keep the well sealed.

Bartlit then asked Halliburton to turn over all of the tests it had run on the mixture.

Those documents showed that Halliburton had conducted four "stability tests" of the mixture. The first two were run in February 2010 using a slightly different recipe than the one eventually used at the well. Both of these tests indicated that the mix was unstable.

Halliburton sent results from only one of those tests to BP in an e-mail March 8.

"There is no indication that Halliburton highlighted to BP the significance of the foam stability data, or that BP personnel raised any questions about it," Bartlit wrote.

Two more tests were conducted by Halliburton in April. The first test, conducted about seven days before the blowout, again showed the mix to be unstable, although Bartlit said it may have been improperly conducted. These results were reported internally at Halliburton, Bartlit said, "though it appears that Halliburton never provided the data to BP."

Bartlit said Halliburton apparently began a fourth test, and after modifying the testing procedure, found the cement to be stable.

"We are not yet certain when Halliburton reported this data internally or whether the test was even complete prior to the time the cement job was poured at the Macondo well," he wrote. "Halliburton reported this data to BP after the blowout."

Bartlit said that because BP did not have the tests results, "the cement job may have been pumped without any lab results indicating that the foam cement slurry would be stable."

BP officials did not return a call for comment early Thursday. A Halliburton spokeswoman said company officials were reviewing the report and were planning to publish a response.

Late Thursday, Halliburton issued a statement. Its February tests were of a different slurry mixture, the company said, and its first April test was "irrelevant because the laboratory did not use the correct amount of cement blend. Furthermore ... BP was made aware of the issues with that test."

Halliburton said its second April test used the agreed-upon mixture and showed it was stable. But BP changed the mixture that was actually used in the well, Halliburton said, and "a foam stability test was not conducted" on the new formulation.

The cement job was not the only problem that plagued the well on the evening of April 20, and Bartlit did not say that it was the only cause of the blowout.

The blowout preventer -- the massive device that was supposed to shut off the well off in the case of a dangerous geyser of oil and gas -- also failed. A number of other human errors have been alleged well. On the day of the blowout, BP canceled a test called a "cement bond log" designed to discover cement defects, saving more than $100,000.

Jesse Gagliano, a Halliburton technical adviser, also told federal investigators that BP risked causing a "severe gas flow problem" when they decided to use a smaller number of mechanisms called "centralizers" rather than the 21 he recommended.

Critics of BP and its partners on the Macondo project jumped on the findings to demand greater oversight of the companies involved in the accident and of the oil industry. Rep. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., chair of the House Energy and Environment Subcommittee, said the counsel's findings underscored the need for BP's new CEO, Bob Dudley, to appear before Congress, which he has recently declined to do.

"The fact that BP and Halliburton knew this cement job could fail only solidifies their liability and responsibility for this disaster," Markey said in a statement. "We now know what BP and Halliburton knew, and when they knew it. And now we know they did absolutely nothing about it.

The report's release sent Halliburton shares plunging 16 percent to less than $30 in New York trading, but it recovered somewhat to close at $31.68, down $2.74 or 8 percent. BP's American shares, however, closed at $40.60, up 1.25 percent.

devil-s-rejects-1.jpg

Eleven people were injured when they jumped out a second-story window near Paris early Saturday, thinking a naked man looking after his crying baby in the night was the devil, the local prosecutor said.

Thirteen people were in an apartment on the second floor when, around 3.00 am, one of the occupants heard his child crying, said Odile Faivre, the deputy prosecutor in Versailles. The man in question, of African origin, who was completely naked, got up to feed his child, at which point the other occupants took him for the devil. He was seriously wounded in the hand after being stabbed with a knife before he was thrown out of the apartment, via the door.

The naked man then tried to get back into the flat in the town of La Verriere, west of Paris.

Thats when the other occupants tried to escape by jumping out of the window, panicked by a fear of the devil, said Faivre.

Police questioned the would-be devil, aged 30, and another man who jumped from the window with a two-year-old girl in his arms.

Seven of those injured were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Investigators were trying to clarify a number of issues surrounding the case, including whether everyone jumped voluntarily or if some were forced to do so, Faivre said.

Mariah.jpg

After months of media speculation, Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are ready to break their silence for the first time.

In a new, exclusive interview from inside the couple's Manhattan home, Mariah and Nick confirmed they are expecting their first child together.

"Yes, we are pregnant, this is true!" Mariah told Billy Bush of "Access Hollywood"of the baby that is due this spring. "It's been a long journey. It's been tough because I've been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy."

"At this point, there is no choice. I either talk or I hibernate," she said.

The singer said she's due in the spring, but wouldn't give an exact due date.

Cannon, 29, joined Carey during the interview to talk about the "absolutely emotional" news.

"The greatest gift on earth is a child," he told Bush. "But ... you know how much we have been through, you know."

Cannon was referring to Carey suffering a miscarriage, something that has not been made public until now. Two years ago, after the couple's wedding, they were in Monte Carlo for the World Music Awards when Carey took a pregnancy test that turned out positive.

"Only one person knew about this and we were like, um, 'let's not tell anybody else,'" Carey said.

The singer revealed that she miscarried a little more than a month later.

"It was really sad so we had to just, we had really to absorb this and take it in," Carey said.

Cannon added, "And that's what I said, like her strength would literally be during the day so festive and smiling obviously for cameras and spending time with everyone and you know, literally that night crying herself to sleep."

Bush added on that the couple said they conceived naturally and won't be finding out the sex of the baby before its birth.

Carey and Cannon have faced pregnancy rumors for months, as the two made coy references to pregnancy and babies in interviews and on Twitter. In June, Cannon wrote on his Twitter account that "If & when my wife is ready to make ANY announcements about private matters she will do it personally." The month before, he told a reporter that a member of his family was pregnant - his Jack Russell puppy Cha Cha.

In August, the rumors reached a frenzy when Carey was spotted in Brazil wearing a maternity dress. She addressed the speculation by explaining that she was "superstitious" and promising, "When the time is right, everyone will know."

buju-banton.jpg

UNITED STATES Magistrate Anthony Porcelli today approved a security company that Jamaican Reggae star Buju Banton has contracted to provide security while he is on bail, despite the objections of the prosecution.

Porcelli also approved a Miami property that was put up as collateral for Banton's bond by Stephen Marley, son of Reggae king Bob Marley.

Attorney Marc Seitles, who handled the hearing on Banton's behalf, was delighted at the outcome.

We achieved a bond today and we are happy that Judge Porcelli reaffirmed that Buju is entitled to be released on bond, Seitles told the Observer.

However the artiste's bid for freedom has hit yet another snag as prosecutor James Preston signaled his intention to appeal the ruling. The prosecution has five days within which to file its appeal.

Banton's lead attorney David Markus was livid at the repeated attempts by Preston to keep his client behind bars, describing the prosecutor's attitude as "disheartening".

Banton, whose real name is Mark Anthony Myrie, will be required to wear a tracking device and pay for the security detail which will be watching him 24 hours a day pending the outcome of his retrial in December.

He will also be placed under house arrest and can only leave his Tamarac, South Florida home to purchase medication, see his attorney or attend court.

If Banton successfully beats back the appeal, he will have to seek another bond in the immigration court as his entertainment visa was revoked upon his arrest last December.

Banton is facing a charge of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute five or more kilogrammes of cocaine. His two co-defendants Ian Thomas and James Mack have both pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in November.

Both were collared by Drug Enforcement Agents after attempting to buy drugs from undercover agents in a police controlled warehouse in Sarasota, Florida.

Banton has maintained his innocence and has rejected a plea bargain deal, offered to him by prosecutors. He claims he was entrapped by government informant Alexander Johnson.

The artiste's trial in September ended with a hung jury.

Alexandra V. Tobias says her three-month old child, Dylan Lee Edmondson, had been crying while she was trying to play the popular Facebook casual game. This angered Tobias, who told authorities that she shook the baby, had a cigarette to calm herself down, then shook him again. It's believed he "may have hit his head during the shaking".

Dylan's death was classified as second-degree murder, a charge that carries the possibility of a life sentence in prison.

Yardflex has been checking out some rumours regarding the energy drink and alcohol. Unofficially we have heard about at least six deaths where rum and energy drinks have been mixed.

The latest we are now seeing is a report in the yesterdays Star where two men died under suspicious circumstances in Lawrence Tavern after attending a drink up event.

According to the story the men were among a group at the event when they became ill after drinking the mixture. Two of the men are said to have died later while another was hospitalised. Another man is said to have been ill after the event.
Mixing energy drink with rum is living dangerously.

Paul-the-octopus-dead.jpg

The tentacled tipster's luck has finally run out and staff at his sea life centre found him dead this morning.

Paul shot to fame during this summer's World Cup using his amazing powers of predictions.

The British-born mystic mollusc picked the right winner in every single game he was challenged to predict at his new home in Germany.

A Ł10 accumulator on Paul's tips would have won Ł3,000 at William Hill.

Stefan Porwoll, manager of the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre in Germany, said: "His success made him almost a bigger story than the World Cup itself."

Paul predicted the winners of all Germany's World Cup clashes, and then the final by selecting one of two boxes, each loaded with a mussel food treat and marked on the outside with one of the teams.

Staff at the centre said his death was not entirely unexpected, since common octopuses generally only live a couple of years.

Stefan said: "He appears to have passed away peacefully during the night, of natural causes, and we are consoled by the knowledge that he enjoyed a good life here.

"We may decide to give Paul his own small burial plot within our grounds and erect a modest permanent shrine."

Paul's memory will live on in a range of memorabilia ranging from clothing lines to mobile phone applications.

He will also feature in a documentary to be released early next year.

After Beyonce and Hovs latest pregnancy rumor, Jay decided to put an end to the 5th rumor himself. He released this statement.Jay-Z and Beyonce:

Its not going to happen. Im just shooting down the rumors before they start. They do that every slow news day.

This is like the fifth time. I think we have five kids now, he said. No truth, but I wonder when people will stop giving it relevance? You cant do the same subject. At least change the subject, they have to find a new one.

  THE MON MAWD YOW
SHARON Marley, the daughter of Reggae King Bob Marley, had her bail extended when she appeared in the Corporate Area Family Court on Tuesday to answer to child cruelty charges.Marley was arrested and charged after the mother of a six-year-old boy, who attends a learning centre she operates, lodged a complaint with the police that Marley had physically abused her child.

The child was reportedly playing with a toy when Marley allegedly carried him inside a room. Shortly after, the child was heard screaming. It is also alleged that the child had bruises and bite marks.

The boy, who is autistic, is the son of a woman who works at the learning centre which is located at Lady Musgrave Road. Marley was ordered to return to court on November 8. Family court cases are held in camera, which means that the media and members of the public are barred from watching proceedings there.

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson never graced Forbes annual Celebrity 100 list during his life. In death, the King of Pop earned more in the past year than any star on that list, apart from Oprah Winfrey.

Jackson not only took the No.1 spot on our 10th annual ranking of the Top-Earning Dead Celebrities, with gross earnings of $275 million, he out-earned the other 12 stars on the list combined. Dont stop til you get enough indeed. Still more impressive: His estates 12-month haul was greater than the pooled earnings of this years two biggest living acts, U2 and AC/DC. Jacksons posthumous earnings come from his stake in the lucrative Sony/ATV catalog, the hit Sony ( SNE news people ) film This Is It and renewed fan interest in music, videos and all things Michael Jackson.

The death of Michael Jackson really put a focus onc****ly, quite franklywhat someones worth when theyre deceased, says David Reeder, vice president of Corbis GreenLight, which manages the personality rights for Albert Einstein and Steve McQueen, among other dead celebrities. In a more positive way, it exposed consumers to this idea that there actually is a market for, and an enduring legacy for, these people.

To place on this years list, a deceased celebrity needed to earn at least $5 million between Oct. 1, 2009, and Oct. 1, 2010. For the most part, earnings come from things like music royalties (John Lennon), book sales (Dr. Seuss) or the licensing of ones image and likeness (McQueen). To compile the list, we spoke to agents, lawyers and other sources to estimate a stars gross earnings (before taxes, management fees and other costs).

Coming in at No. 2 is Elvis Presley. The King of Rock n Rolls estate pulled down $60 million in the 12-month period, thanks to Graceland admissions and a heavily hyped Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. The estates portfolio of more than 200 licensing and merchandise deals got a nice boost from the late stars 75th birthday celebration as well.

A day after his passing, fans of reggae singer Gregory Isaacs have rocketed his music catalogue to chart above all except Bob Marley.

His current iTunes charting include number 2 and 4 with Night Nurse and One Man Against the World respectively in the United States. In the UK, Isaacs is at number 4 and 6 with Hot Stepper and Night Nurse. Across the English Channel in France, the Cool Ruler holds three sports at number 3, 7 and 8 with Night Nurse, The Very Best of Gregory Isaacs Gold and Once Ago.

The singer is having a good time in Europe. In The Netherlands and Spain Night Nurse is at number 6 in both territories. More Gregory holds the top spot in Sweden and More Gregory (Again) is at number 10. The popular Night Nurse is at number 3 in Switzerland.

On Amazon best-sellers reggae albums (US based) he holds the number 3, 6, 8 ,9 and 10 positions.

Isaacs died at approximately 4:00 am Monday in London, succumbing to lung cancer, ending weeks of speculation surrounding his health. The artiste is said to have died peacefully surrounded by his family.

Disagreement keeps Buju in US jail

October 28, 2010

REGGAE artiste Buju Banton's release from a US jail has hit another snag due to a disagreement with the prosecution over the security company he wants to hire for his 24-hour security detail.

The disagreement is such that the parties will be heading back to the Sam M Gibbons Federal Court for the matter to be reviewed by Magistrate Judge Anthony E Porcelli tomorrow.

"The defence can't get the prosecutor to agree to the security company," a source close to the matter told the Observer.

As part of his bail conditions, it was stipulated that Banton be placed under house arrest, have a 24-hour security detail, at his expense, and wear an electronic monitoring device. The security detail is to ensure that Banton does not violate the terms of his house arrest.

Judge Porcelli had also ruled that the government agree with whatever security arrangement Banton is putting in place.

Banton, whose real is Mark Anthony Myrie, was offered bail in the sum of $250,000 after his cocaine and gun trial ended in September with a hung jury.

A retrial is slated for some time in December.

The Observer reported last week that the four-time Grammy nominee artiste was having problems taking up his bail because of the strict conditions set by Judge Porcelli.

Banton was arrested at his Tamara, Florida, home last December and charged with conspiracy to possess and distribute five killogrammes of cocaine, and possession of a weapon during the furtherance of a crime.

Under the terms of the house arrest, Banton can only leave his house for meetings with his attorney, for doctor's appointments, to purchase medication and for court-appointed hearings. He will also be subjected to drug testing.

He will have to surrender all his travel documents.

After clearing this hurdle of satisfying the bail conditions, Banton's legal team will have to seek bond in the immigration court. Banton's entertainment visa was revoked following his arrest.

The conditions were set as there were concerns that the artiste may be a flight risk.

The-Vagina-Monologues.gif

NOW EVERY DANCE U GO....EVERY VIDEO U WATCH AND ALMOST EVERY SONG DEM SING BOUT TIGHT VAGINA... JUST WHAT IS A TIGHT VAGINA AND HOW LONG CAN A TIGHT VAGINA REMAIN TIGHT DURING SEX?hmm Y DO MOST JAMAICAN MEN GET TURNED OFF BY TOO MUCH WETNESS WHEN OTHER CULTURES WELCOME IT?....COME MEK WE TALK N CLEAR UP SOME TINGS!couch

A few choice words about "tightness"

How long does it take for the "vagina opening" to get tight again after sex? A few days, a week? Do PC muscle exercises help? Say I hadn't had sex for about 5 months and then just had sex about a week ago, am I "looser" now then I would've been if I didn't have sex at all? And if so, how do I make it tight again and how long does it take? Is it already "tight" again...Does that even make sense!?? PLEASE HELP!!

Sarah replies:
You know, I really wish I could get a hold of whomever started this obsession with vaginal "tightness" and have a few choice words with them. Most of the words I'd have to say would not be very nice. But since that person is not here right now, all I can do is try to clear up a few of the unfortunate misunderstandings and blatant lies that seem to be so common about this issue.

Being "tight" is a good thing. WRONG! Absolutely, completely, 100% wrong. In fact, that particular myth is exactly opposite of the truth. When a woman is aroused sufficiently, her vagina actually loosens and her cervix pulls up to allow for comfortable penetration. That is just the way that sexual arousal works for women, thank goodness. So you should be looser when attempting vaginal penetration, not tighter.

In fact, feeling "tight" is usually a pretty good indication that a woman is either not ready for penetration or simply does not want to be involved in penetration (or sex, period) at that point.

Being "loose" means you've had lots of sex/had sex recently/etc. Again, absolutely false. Being relaxed and well lubricated means that you're into whatever sexual activity is going on. It is important with this as well to understand that the vagina is a muscular tube. This means that the vagina will conform to whatever is inside it.

So when there is nothing in a woman's vagina, it is closed in on itself (in other words, the walls will be touching). Essentially, it goes back to exactly the way it was prior to penetration. Immediately after sex, the vagina may remain relaxed for several minutes, but it will return to its prior state very shortly. Certainly, like any muscle, there are variations in muscle tone, but for most women, especially younger women, there's just no reason to worry about a lack of tone with the vagina and the surrounding muscles, and having had sex doesn't decrease tone: in fact, thatd be a pretty backwards thing to think about the use of any muscle, since use increases tone of the muscles. You could have intercourse everyday for a year and it still wouldn't change a thing.

Similarly, you could abstain for a year and it wouldn't change a thing either (assuming that when you do have sex again, you are aroused and relaxed).
Penetration permanently changes the "tightness" of the vagina. Strike three! Penetration does not cause any permanent changes in the vagina. As I said before, the vagina is a muscular tube, so it stretches to accommodate and then returns to its previous state. Even vaginal childbirth results in very few changes to the vagina. In that case, the changes to the internal configuration are extremely minimal.

Some change may be noticed in the vaginal opening if serious tearing occurs or if an episiotomy is done, but again this is generally fairly minimal. So if the passage of a baby does not permanently alter the vagina, it's not even logical that intercourse would cause changes. I haven't heard of a penis that's the size of a full term baby, have you?
So in short, worrying about being "tight" is a pretty pointless and actually counter-productive thing to do. Having sex will not make you looser. Not having sex will not make you tighter. There's not anything that is going to make you permanently "tighter" that is healthy or a good idea. And if you are feeling tight, that's a good sign that you don't want to be having sex right then anyway.

If you want to do something like Kegel exercises, that's fine. Rather than making you inherently tighter during sexual arousal, it will probably give you more conscious control over those muscles that you can exercise during sex if you desire. But really, you should focus on being relaxed and enjoying yourself, rather than being as tight as a partner may (incorrectly) believe you should be.

ATLANTA Federal authorities have ordered rapper T.I. to report directly to a federal prison in Arkansas by Nov. 1 to start serving his 11-month prison sentence.

U.S. Marshal Beverly Harvard on Tuesday ordered T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., to report to the Forrest City low-security prison where he served parts of an earlier 10-month stint on federal weapons charges.

A federal judge in Atlanta sentenced the rapper this month to serve another 11 months in prison for breaking his federal probation after he was arrested Sept. 1 in Los Angeles on drug charges.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles said Monday they will not file a felony drug charge against the rapper.

Dancehall recording artiste Blak Ryno has becoming the latest entertainer to fall victim to a spate of motorbike accident, following similar encounters weeks earlier by fellow dancehall and reggae acts, Gyptian, Mavado and Nitty Kutchie.

The incident unfolded over the Heroes Weekend when Ryno (the pillion) and a friend were riding in the vicinity of Waltham Park Road and was hit off the motorbike by a car travelling in the opposite direction after the driver was forced to swerve when a man said to be of unsound mind suddenly walk out into the drivers path.

Blak Ryno was flung from the bike hitting his head against the asphalt while the rider suffered some minor bruises.

The entertainer was rushed to the Medical Associates Hospital but was minutes later taken to another facility to be X-Rayed. Miraculously the deejay escaped with only a gash to the side of his head but was ordered by the doctor to stay at home and recuperate.

Janet Jackson Films New Tyler Perry Movie In New York Janet Jackson was seen shooting a number of scenes for the new Tyler Perry movie in New York this week. Mariah Carey had dropped out of the film last month, and some have speculated that she did so because she found out that she was pregnant with her first child. While the news has not been confirmed, her husband Nick Cannon, has made references to the report being true but has said that Carey will make the announcement on her own time, when she is ready.

This will be the second movie that Jackson has appeared in since the death of her brother, Michael Jackson last year. The movie, which is currently set to be titled For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, was originally set to star Mariah Carey. Jackson was filming new scenes while on location, and was also sporting a new, shorter hair style from what she was previously seen wearing. The film will also star a number of other prominent Hollywood figures including Whoopi Goldberg, Kerry Washington and Anika Noni Rose.
Janets new boyfriend ,a millionaire from Qatar named Wissam Al Mana seems to have renewed her faith in life after the tragic passing of her brother. She was recently seen out with him on several occasions, and a source has confirmed that Jackson has been much more up beat since his arrival.

L.A. Drops Case Against T.I.; Rappers Rights May Have Been Violated

amd_ti.jpg

The drug case against T.I. that has sent him back to federal prison has been dropped by the L.A. County District Attorney.

The rap star was recently sentenced to 11 months in federal prison, after police stopped him for making an illegal U-turn on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles on September 1st.

When police approached the car, they allegedly smelled marijuana. A search of the occupants of the car found the rapper and his wife, Tameka Tiny Cottle in possession of the drug ecstasy.

Police never booked any of the marijuana they allegedly smelled into evidence and LAPD officers allegedly pulled the rapper out of his $250,000 Maybach before they asked for any registration or identification.

The D.A.s office said that since the rapper was sentenced to federal prison for violating his probation, there was no need for the state to pursue the charges.

International reggae superstar, Mark 'Buju Banton' Myrie will be heading back to the Sam M Gibbons Federal Court for the matter of his bail bond to be reviewed by Magistrate Judge Anthony E Porcelli today.

According to reports, the four-time Grammy nominee and his legal team are in a disagreement with the prosecution over the security company they want to hire for Bantons round-the-clock security detail.

As part of his bail conditions, it was stipulated that Banton be placed under house arrest, have a 24-hour security detail, at his expense, and wear an electronic monitoring device. The security detail is to ensure that Banton does not violate the terms of his house arrest.

Gregory Isaacs, the Jamaican reggae singer whose smooth style earned him the nickname Cool Ruler, has died. He was 59.
Isaacs had been diagnosed with lung cancer a year ago, but continued performing until weeks before his death.

His wife Linda said Isaacs was well-loved by everyone, his fans and his family, and he worked really hard to make sure he delivered the music they loved and enjoyed.

Born in a Kingston, Jamaica slum in 1951, Isaacs began recording in his teens, and went on to produce scores of albums .

With his sinuous baritone and romantic songs, Isaacs became a leading proponent of the mellow Lovers Rock style of reggae. He hit his stride in the mid-1970s with ballads like Love is Overdue and All I Have Is Love.

Later that decade he teamed up with the Jamaican production duo of Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare for several hit songs including Soon Forward and What A Feeling.

Gregorys voice and writing ability was wicked. He was one of those soulful singers you could sit and listen to for hours, Dunbar said in a story carried by The Associated Press.

Isaacs was best known internationally for the title song from his 1982 album Night Nurse, a club favourite which later became a hit for Simply Red.

His career was stalled by a cocaine habit that landed him in jail on several occasions. Isaacs said ruefully in 2007 that hed gone to Cocaine High School the greatest college ever, but the most expensive school fee ever paid.

Drug abuse took a toll on his voice but he kept making music, releasing a well-received final album, Brand New Me, in 2008.

Suggs, lead singer of reggae-influenced British band Madness, said the dapper, fedora-sporting Isaacs was a great reggae artist and also one of the most sartorially elegant stars on the world stage.

Jay-Z still showing his Illuminati aspirations. There are rumors emerging that the former Brooklyn drug dealer may be tapped to work with President Obamas 2012 campaign. During his 2008 Presidential campaign, Barack Obama relied heavily on mobilizing youth and connecting with the younger generations through speeches, ads and an online presence. Deputy White House Press Secretary William Burton joked with the New York Post:

I cant believe youve finally heard the chatter about [Jay] replacing Larry Summers, . In all seriousness, keep in mind he was pretty active during the 2008 election, so I dont think itd surprise anyone that [Jay] would be involved again. But its a little premature.

Still, it seems fair to say that Jay-Z will likely play a role in Obama's campaign because the rap superstar has been vocal in hi support of Obama over the last few years. Jay-Z has also been enjoying a very warm embrace by the mainstream America that once rejected his rhymes about drugs, violence and women.

KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. - Sheriff's detectives say a four-year-old boy loaded a shotgun and shot his mother.

The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office says deputies were dispatched to a home in the 10400 block of Glenwood Road SW at 4:16 p.m. The 23-year-old woman suffered a non-life threatening wound to her side.

Detectives say it appears the boy loaded a shotgun cartridge into a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun and pulled the trigger.

The mother told detectives she was in the bedroom and turned her back on her son as she talked on the phone. She did not hear him load the cartridge. She said she didn't even know her son had gotten access to the gun.

The Kitsap Sun reports the woman was hit with birdshot.

Deputy Scott Wilson says sometime before the shooting, the boy's father had given him a shotgun cartridge after the boy had expressed an interest in firearms. The father was not home when the shooting happened.

The woman was taken to Tacoma General Hospital where she was treated and released.

While deputies consider the shooting an accident, they will be forwarding the case to the Kitsap County Prosecutor's Office to determine if charges are warranted.
