Touch yourself

December 2, 2010
Started By nuff money2 Comments

Dear Pastor,

I think men touch themselves when they go to the bathroom. Jamaican women are clean and masturbation is natural. A woman has the right to touch her own body and I am sure men touch women. Are they unclean?

J.

Dear J.,

I see where you are going. You are in favour of practising masturbation. You consider it natural. You are entitled to your opinion, therefore no one should condemn you.

Abortion is murder

December 2, 2010
Started By nuff money1 Comments

Dear Pastor,

I strongly believe abortion is definitely to be considered murder. Most people are probably not aware that a foetus's heart begins to beat at 21 days of conception, and all the organs are formed at eight weeks of gestation. I have seen many eight-week foetuses and I can see a real human being.

S.K., California, U.S.A

Dear S.K.,

The Bible teaches that life begins at conception. But some folks do not accept that to be true. That is why some people support abortion on demand. Clearly you are pro-life.

Abstaining from sex

December 2, 2010
Started By nuff money2 Comments

Dear Pastor,

I believe that young people can abstain from sex. I am 20 years old and I am also a student. For the last five months, I have not been having sex. This is not my first time abstaining from sex. The longest time I have abstained from sexual intercourse is almost eight months.

I just want to say to other young people that they do not have to be addicted to sex. As long as you keep yourself occupied, you won't have a continual need for having sex. The reason for this is, you have other important things to think about. I can truly say, maybe if I was not studying, I would have more urge to have sex but because I have a lot of course work to do, by the time I reach home, I cannot think of sex. I just have to get straight to my school work. Even if you are not going to school, you can do other things to occupy your time and mind.

The benefit that one like me will get from abstaining from sex is spiritual upliftment, especially if you are unmarried. Abstaining from sex has caused me to concentrate more on my school work and most importantly, the Lord.

Abstinence is not a hard thing for an individual to do.

J.R.

Dear J.R.,

I wish you well. I hope that you are not just bragging. You give the impression that if you were not studying you would have occupied your time in having sex. So I hope that after you have graduated, you will continue to abstain from sex until you are married.

Son charged with attemped murder

A man who has been charged with attempted murder after being accused of cutting his father's throat was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Jomo Dennis will return to court on December 9, when the matter will be mentioned as the medical report is outstanding.

Allegations are that on September 17, the complainant was at his workplace on Lady Musgrave Road, when the accused came on the compound and approached him with a machete and an argument developed.

The court heard that the accused hit the complainant in the head and then used the machete to cut his throat. The court also heard that residents from the area who heard the loud noise coming from the premises alerted the police after realising what was happening.

It was further heard that the accused was caught by security personnel trying to jump over a nearby wall. The complainant was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was admitted for emergency surgery.

The court heard that when the accused was arrested, he told the police, "Is a man come on the compound and a try fi cut mi father throat and a try to jump di wall."

Visitors and staff at the Spanish Town courthouse in St Catherine are crying out for help with the sanitary conveniences.

The Star visited the court facility and saw people complaining that they are angry that they are unable to do bodily functions at the facilities provided.

A number of persons were seen acting in disgust about the situation. "This is a sad situation, you come to court and yu can't urinate or do anything else. If yu lef, dem issue warrant fi yu arrest, " Martin Martindalem, a litigant said.

His view was shared among a number of persons who also turned up at the court. "We cannot even go to the bathrooms as they have now padlocked the doors," a court employee said.

The concerns surround the toilets not being flushed due to the lack of water.

It was revealed that for the past two weeks, there has been a shortage of water at the court, due to a pump at the premises not working.

Many people expressed that with the Circuit Court in session, the situation needs urgent attention as the problem can cause an outbreak of various sicknesses.

Meanwhile, senior personnel at the court's office say they are waiting for the pump to be repaired so the matter can be addressed.

Digicel on Wednesday broke ground on its new "green" global headquarters on the waterfront in downtown Kingston.

At a ceremony to mark the occasion, Digicel chairman and founder, Denis O'Brien, was joined by Digicel Group CEO Colm Delves and Digicel Jamaica CEO Mark Linehan - as well as Prime Minister Bruce Golding, Mayor of Kingston Desmond McKenzie, members of the Government and the Opposition.

The project, due for completion in mid-2012, will see Digicel bringing its 1,000-plus Digicel Group and Digicel Jamaica staff together under one roof for the first time.

211,500 square feet

Situated on the waterfront in downtown Kingston, the Digicel development will span a total area of 211,500 square feet. Specifically, Digicel is developing a 154,700-square foot 11-storey-plus basement office building - as well as a 7,050-square foot food court and an 11,000-square foot two-storey ancillary building over a basement car park.

The new Digicel global headquarters will be the most environmentally friendly major office building in the Caribbean making use of solar power, wind power and geothermal cooling systems.

The building will feature three wind turbines on the roof of the 11-storey tower, 15,000 square feet of solar panels and solar glass on the roofs of all three buildings.

Meanwhile, the geothermal cooling system will reduce power consumption and eliminate the use of both potable water and unsightly cooling towers.

Laughter gripped the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday when a 'taxi fare' matter was heard.

The accused in the matter, Rohan Mcleod, was charged with credit by fraud.

The court heard that on the day of the incident, Mcleod had acquired the services of a taxi to take him to his required destination. However, after he reached his destination, he exited the cab without paying his fare.

In his defence, Mcleod explained to the court that it was a misunderstanding. He said his 'babymada' had the responsibility to pay for his fare that day as he had informed her before he left the taxi.

The complainant, the driver of the taxi, who was present when the matter was heard, told the court that the cost of the journey was $400.

Mcleod was then ordered to pay the outstanding amount for his taxi fare in court which he did which caused some amusement.

The matter then took a twist as Mcleod handed the taxi driver $500 to cover the taxi fare but later stretched his hand to receive his change, which rekindled the laughter in the court.

The taxi driver was eventually allowed to leave with the $500 paid to him by Mcleod.

The matter was then admonished and discharged.

Dancehall artiste Munga Honourable is alleged to have been at the centre of a conflict at the last staging of Hot Mondays, held at Lime Lite Nite Club in Half-Way Tree, where it is alleged that a selector was assaulted and the deejay later attacked.

According to an eyewitness, Fire Links' selector, Fire Ray, was attacked at the club and about half-an-hour later the deejay was also assaulted when he tried to leave the venue.

The source told THE STAR that the selector's attacker "give him round 18 box inna him face".

He said that later in the night Munga was attacked downstairs by persons who accused him of being involved in the earlier incident.

Another patron at the club told THE STAR said that an individual held on to the deejay when he arrived downstairs, which led to the conflict.

It is said that while Munga's three friends tried to shield him from the accuser, he got away and attacked the artiste.

There was said to be a tussle involving the attacker, Munga's entourage and men associated with the selector who was assaulted earlier.

Yesterday, when THE STAR dialled Munga's mobile phone, someone who identified himself as Richard Brown from Hilltop Records and a close associate of the artiste, said that he was doing recording and could not speak.

"Wi nuh really waan talk bout no incident. Wi waan talk bout some songs like Clean And Fresh," he said.

Bling Dawg makes comeback

After a few years of not being on the music scene, Alliance member, Marlon 'Bling Dawg' Williams, is now making a comeback and asserts that he's here to stay.

Bling Dawg, formerly known as Ricky Rudie, began his professional career in 1994 and has had songs such as Say My Name, Kiss My Baby Good Morning, Phone Call, Exercise, Shotta Ting and Circumstances.

The break, he said, was a much needed one, as at the time, it was the best choice for him, his family and his career. "I took a break from the business for various reasons such as my child and to enhance my career. A child is something that you have to plan for and I was busy doing that. I took time to do some research and read some more books and stuff, because you can never know too much. It's still a learning process from Bling Dawg buss until now. Now I'm fully focused on the music," said Bling.

He is so far thrilled with the way things have been going for his career since the comeback as he said, "Right now it looking great. Mi just voice on the Turn It Up rhythm for Dave Kelly and that's a joy for mi because from mi a likkle youth mi waan voice fi dem man deh."

"Bling Dawg is back on a next levelish!" he exclaimed.

He, however, noted that he is in no rush to return to the top.

"It takes time and practice to perfect your craft. Nuff man doan know the art of deejaying, dem just a hide behind autotune. Bling Dawg nuh follow nobody enuh. Mi nuh have to hear a man seh something fi me decide fi mek a song about it. Mi nah drop the standard of my lyrical dexterity."

Bling Dawg has a two-month-old daughter, Zoey, who is one of his main motivators.

"A mi heartstring that," he said.

Recent songs from him include, Our Name on the Saudi Arabia rhythm, God Mi Seh for Madhouse Records, Nuh Stab Mi In Mi Back on the Tan Bad rhythm and Next Level on Baby G's Badda Dan rhythm among others

Rihanna

says women who criticise her for being sexy are "unhappy with themselves". The pop beauty - who is famous for her flesh-flashing stage outfits and revealing fashion choices - is proud of her body and insists girls who attack her online are "hypocrites".

She said: "People think I'm overly sexy. It bothers them for some reason. Girls don't like to see other girls dressed sexy . It's a little intimidating, I don't mean that in a ****y way. There's always going to be somebody not liking what you do. People have a lot of crazy opinions on things. Things I say, things I wear, places I go. It's just stupid. I'm a 22-year-old human being. It's fine for me to go to a club.

"People are hypocrites. They can't wait to say something horrible. Most of them are unhappy with themselves. It's women who are mad at other women. They should take a look at their own lives. A lot of people don't have the guts to confront themselves."

Although her online critics make her angry, Rihanna can accept that her overtly sexual image could annoy people.

But she is determined not to change her behaviour or style just to please anyone else.

She added in an interview with the United Kingdom edition of GQ magazine: "Public figures can become annoying. They see me a lot and every time they see me my boobs are out, so it can get a little irritating. I get that. But I have to do what makes me happy, what I feel like doing."

The man accused of beating dancehall artiste Powerman had his bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Nicholas Henry, who is also the deejay's landlord, is accused of using a piece of iron pipe to injure him. Henry returns to court on January 25, as the file in the matter is incomplete. Powerman, born Michael Davey, was also present in court.

Allegations are that on September 2, around 9:30 p.m., the artiste and his landlord were in an altercation over rent money. It is alleged that a piece of iron pipe was used to inflict wounds on the artiste causing injuries to his forehead.

It is alleged that the accused told the deejay; "Yuh deh a foreign a call man crack head. Don't mi tell yuh seh when you come Jamaica mi a go crack yuh head."

It is further alleged that after the incident, the artiste drove himself to the Constant Spring Police Station where he made a report and he was then taken to the hospital. Henry, 47, is charged with unlawful wounding.

It is reported that the artiste, who was overseas, had just returned to the Kingston 8 premises only to find out that his gas stove and water were disconnected.

Powerman is known for several dancehall hits in the '90s including Serious Things Ago Happen and Gal A Call Wi. He has, however, been somewhat out of the limelight in recent years.

Parties have become another means by which prostitutes aggressively seek business, THE STAR has found.

Investigations have led to the finding that a number of weekly events around the island have become a feeding ground for prostitutes who most times go there, look for a prospective 'buyer', and then offer their services.

While it may be argued that prostitutes going to parties is nothing new, police sources who are aware of the practice told THE STAR that it has become more prevalent.

"What we suspect is that due to increased police presence in recent months, instead of being on the corner, the women go to parties and seek business there. And they are making a lot of money from it, more than they would on the corner," an officer from the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) explained yesterday.

THE STAR learnt of the occurrence two weeks ago while at a party called "... Dash Weh" which is held every weekend in a Portmore community, St Catherine.

While there, a group of men who were standing beside THE STAR team were overheard making comments about four women who were standing close by.

increased competition

One of the men was talking about approaching the women and soliciting sex from them, claiming he knows they usually operate along the popular 'Back Road' (Port Henderson Road) in Portmore, and now frequent parties to sell themselves due to increased 'competition'.

"Yu nuh see how much gyal deh a Back Road, a whole heap a competition suh dem come a di party dem and is either man weh know dem go to dem or dem go to who dem want and mek dem know seh a business dem a deal wid," the man was heard telling his friends.

After the party had ended some time after 2 a.m., THE STAR team stuck around to witness the men approach the group of women and they all eventually left together.

Some of the men and women looked too close for comfort as they walked towards two taxis.

Again one of the men was overheard asking his friend, "Yo, a how much she a charge?"

Out of curiosity about the happening, THE STAR went to Ripon Road, near Cross Roads in St Andrew, last Friday and spoke with prostitutes who operate there, asking them if they had any knowledge of their counterparts going to parties and doing business instead of working the streets.

According to them this is the "in-thing", claiming there is a drop in business on the streets so some persons will go wherever the money is. "Yea a di in-thing nowadays, business naw too boom pon di road eno suh some a dem go look it a party all bout di place," one prostitute Kerry, who seemed more interested in selling what she calls a 'special', eventually said.

According to her, during several recent trips to rural parts of the island she realised this was the case not only in Kingston.

"All a country a so dem a do it now, nuff a dem go a party instead a stay pon di road," she explained.

Police sources also confirmed the prostitute's claims. "If they are doing it in Kingston then surely they will be doing it in the country areas. They are all in the same business so new means of making money will spread," the officer from the OCID said.

Taking it to her Twitter account, the 'Pink Friday' singer honestly says she was in shock when the 79-year-old host tapped her booty during the Q and A session of 'Live with Regis and Kelly'.

Nicki Minaj has spoken up her mind about getting a smack on the bottom by Regis Philbin. Making use of her Twitter account, the Young Money raptress admitted she was completely surprised when the 79-year-old talk show host suddenly tapped her booty during the Q&A session of "Live with Regis and Kelly".

On Tuesday, November 30, the "Your Love" hitmaker was asked by her follower on Twitter, "YO NICK!!! what went thru your mind when Regis had slapped ya? that was epic!" In response to the question, the raptress, who has recently debuted her album titled "Pink Friday", simply answered,
"Lol. I was in shock!"

The groping incident itself took place on Monday, November 29 when Nicki joined Regis and his co-host Kelly Ripa for a quick interview after she performed "Right Thru Me". After stroking the front of the singer's tight dress and telling her he loves the way she dressed, Regis patted the 25-year-old's booty as saying, "It looks like you have a little strap around you there, you know what I mean?"

While Regis' act prompted his co-host Kelly to shout "Regis! What just happened?", Nicki joked with the TV personality about the advice she got from fellow rapper Lil Wayne. "Wayne tells me to go hard," she said. In return, Regis asked, "Go hard?" He then added, "I wish I could." Nicki responded with a smile and eye-rolling.

Court allows Buju to perform

December 1, 2010
Started By nuff money10 Comments

JAMAICAN Reggae star Buju Banton, today won an appeal against an order which denied him the right to perform on a concert on January 16.

Banton, whose real name is Mark Myrie, had applied for permission to perform at the concert on November 23 but his motion was dismissed by United States Judge Anthony Porcelli on the grounds that the artiste was a flight risk.

But in overturning the ruling today Judge James Moody cited that the issue had been already addressed when Banton was released on bail in October.

David Oscar Markus, who is the singer's lead attorney, was grateful for the ruling which will allow his client to earn much needed income to pay for his security detail which is costing Banton US$20,000 monthly.

The concert, dubbed 'Before The Dawn', will be held at the Bay Front Amphitheatre in downtown Miami and will feature Banton and other prominent Reggae artistes. The concert is being produced by Rockers Island.

Banton was held in the Pinellas County Jail for 11 months after being hauled out of his home in Tamarac, South Florida following the arrest of James Mack and Ian Thomas during a sting operation in Saratoga, Tampa.

Both were held attempting to purchase cocaine from undercover agents in a police controlled warehouse and have pleaded guilty.

Jennifer Lopez is embroiled in a new sex tape scandal and has launched a legal battle to prevent the films being made public..
The singer has taken her ex-husband Ojai Noa and his agent Ed Meyer to court to stop their reported attempt to sell and market videos made during the couple's 11-month marriage in 1997.

In the videos she is seen flashing her private parts and displaying other 'deviant behavior', according to documents filed in the singer's legal fight to keep the tapes secret.

'This is among other nudity on her part in the now 21 hours of home movies that we have so far recovered', Meyer said in the papers, adding that Ojani is continually finding more and more home videos with Lopez that he didn't remember he had.

Although the tapes do not contain full sex scenes they could be of great embar****ment to the star who is married to Mark Anthony and has two children.

'It must also be stated that in Noa's Home Videos, Lopez gives her full consent to Noa taping her'.
But Lopez is not agreeing to these tapes being made public saying they are private and personal, claiming that Noa and filmmaker Meyer are violating an injunction which blocks the release of the videos.

This recent battle between Lopez and her ex-husband is the latest in a long history of legal wrangling - with Noa allegedly trying to cash in on his relationship with the Latin star.

Four years ago, Lopez sued Noa to prevent him from publishing a book containing details of their short-lived marriage.
In 2007, a court-appointed arbitrator issued a permanent injunction forbidding Noa from 'criticising, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging' the Jenny From The Block singer.

Lopez was awarded $545,000 in compensation and Noa was ordered to hand over all copies of materials related to his proposed book to Lopez's legal team.

In November 2009, Lopez again sued Noa for breach of contract and invasion of privacy, citing a previous confidentiality agreement between the two of them to prevent Noa from releasing his planned film, How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J-Lo and Ojani Noa Story and 'previously unseen home video footage'.

She only gave birth six weeks ago, but Alicia Keys is already showing off a svelte post-pregnancy figure.

The 29-year-old singer looked trim in a flattering black dress and matching black boots as she attended a special screening of new Javier Bardem film Biutiful, in New York last night.

Keys gave birth to her first child - a son Egypt Dean on October 14, by her husband Swizz Beatz.
'There is no word to properly describe LOVE, to describe BLISS, to express a FEELING like this!!! Thank U 4 your love, support & prayers! wink.gif' she tweeted, two days after the birth.

Keys married the 32-year-old rap producer, real name Kaseem Dean, July 31, shortly after announcing they were expecting.

The nuptials were held in Corsica in front of close friends including Queen Latifah and U2 rocker Bono, and presided over by Deepak Chopra.
Last night she looked happy and relaxed with an unusually high hairstyle.

Wearing a red bracelet is a humiliating experience for women at one Norwegian company.

Talk about a scarlet letter.

Female staffers at a company in Norway have been told to wear red bracelets when they have their periods to clue in the boss that this is the reason for more frequent bathroom visits.

The outrageous demand was detailed in a report from a workers' union about the "tyrannical" bathroom rules in companies in Norway, according to the Daily Mail.

The report charged that firms were getting too obsessive about their workers taking too many bathroom breaks, according to Current.com.

A full 66% of managers, in order to monitor the breaks, insisted that workers request an electronic key to get into the bathroom, the study noted.

About a third of the companies put their johns under video surveillance and some even made workers sign a "visitors book," according to the report.

It noted: "But the most extreme action was taken by one manager who made women having their period wear a red bracelet to justify more frequent trips to the loo. Women quite justifiably feel humiliated by being tagged in this way, so that all their colleagues are aware of this intimate detail of their private life."

While the name of the firm that made female workers wear red bracelets was not disclosed, the report has gone for review to Bjorn Erik Thon, Norway's chief consumer ombudsman, according Current.com.

Thon stated that "toilet codes relating to menstrual cycles are clear violations of privacy" and are "very insulting to the people concerned."

And, he added, "Monitoring in the workplace is becoming a growing problem. We will be carrying out a full review of the rules surrounding employment and privacy over the coming year."

DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM? IS SOMETHING BOTHERING YOU? WRITE TO: TELL ME PASTOR, DR AARON DUMAS, P.O. BOX 188, KING STREET, KINGSTON. TELEPHONE 929-1667/8 E-MAIL PASTOR@JAMAICASTAR.COM

Dear Pastor,

I want to start off by congratulating you on the wonderful job you are doing in helping a lot of people. I read your column daily.

My problem started after dating a man for five years. It was not any ordinary relationship, because I grew to love him. About a year in the relationship, he lost one of his eyes and I continued to be there for him.

The company decided to compensate him by giving him some money and he didn't even let me know when he received the money. He became very distant. Then I asked him what was wrong. He said he was not feeling the relationship anymore and that our love or relationship could not go to the shop. After he told me that, I did a little investigation. One of his friends told me that he got the money for his eye, and he started dating an older woman who had three children already and she was giving him money.

it still hurts

After I confronted him and asked him if it was because he got the money he left me, he said no and up to now he doesn't have a good reason. Pastor, I did not fight or quarrel with him. I just let him go, and up to this day it still hurts to know that I was there with him when he didn't have anything and now he is behaving like that.

Pastor, to me it is because he is with this woman and now they share a son. However, I forgave him and talk with him as a friend, but deep down I wish things were different. I am afraid to get close with another man. And if I do talk to them, after a while I just get cross and want to stay by myself. I don't know what else to do. It is killing me and I really want to have someone in my life.

Please give me your fatherly advice.

R.

Dear R.,

This man is ungrateful. You did everything to help him and after he was compensated he kept it as a secret. Perhaps he felt that if he had told you, you would have wanted him to share the money with you. Even if you had that in mind he could have said yes or no.

You have to forgive him and move on. What he did is still bothering you because you have not forgiven him. The money that he got will not last forever. You claim that you have forgiven him but you have not. If you had, it would not continue to haunt you. And you would not find it so difficult to establish another relationship. So talk to God about the matter and ask Him to help you to move on.

Pastor

COP HELD IN DRUG BUST

A policeman was held yesterday during a drug bust coordinated between law-enforcement personnel in Jamaica and Canada.

The policeman was held with another man in Jamaica, while several other people were arrested in Canada, a release from the Jamaica Constabulary Force said last night. The name and rank of the policeman is being withheld.

The JCF said the arrests follow a nine month coordinated international operation between investigators from the Anti-Corruption Branch, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Toronto Airport Drug Enforcement Unit, the Peel Regional Police, the Toronto Police Service and Canada Border Services Agency.

Those detained overseas were held in the Greater Toronto area.

All are being held in connection with an international narcotics trafficking network-involving shipments from the Sangster International Airport, the release said.

Dancehall personality Chi Ching Ching said he is thankful that his dream of becoming an artiste is finally becoming a reality.

The artiste, whose real name is Radion Beckford, started his career as a dancer, flocking the street dances around the Corporate Area.

"Mi start out being a dancer walking around wid a red carpet then mi start wid slangs like 'popcorn pop' and 'everyday'. But my real interest is being an artiste. Mi love the deejay thing and mi see seh it inna mi from morning but mi haffi start somewhere," he told THE STAR.

"I have been doing songs and they have been getting heavy rotation locally and abroad and my slangs are still going on well. If you pick up a mixtape or turn on your radio, you are going to hear Chi Ching Ching on it."

Being multitalented, he said he can host events, dance, deejay and give patrons a taste of his slangs.

"I combine all those talents in one and do them on stage shows," he said, noting that he recently returned from a performance in Brooklyn, New York.

Based on how his career is progressing, the artiste said he is very pleased.

"It's been a good look for me and mi nah quit. Right now, I'm feeling like a World Cup atmosphere 'cause mi off the bench and a mek an entry. Dem caan tek mi wicket 'cause I'm going for a century. Mi woulda dumb if mi nuh talk," Chi Ching told THE STAR.

music videos

In recent times, he said he has voiced songs like Too Many Many Men featuring Harry Toddler for Supa Hype and Walk And Talk featuring Samboni for NCF Production.

He also did a song called Winnings for Stephen McGregor on a rhythm of the same name. He also did a song with Future Fambo for Sean Paul's SP Records about three weeks ago. And, he is gearing up to record songs for Seanizzle and Chimney Records.

Chi Ching will also be releasing music videos for his songs Walk And Wine and I'm From Jamaica in the near future. In addition, he has confirmed bookings for events in Sweden, Canada and England.

An obviously disappointed Rodney 'Bounty Killer' Pryce left the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, after an application for his passport to be returned was rescheduled.

Pryce's attorney Christopher Townsend made the application for the passport which was taken from the artiste by the police as a condition for his $500,000 bail in an assault case.

However, Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly Williams rescheduled the matter to be mentioned tomorrow, giving herself enough time to peruse the application for variation of the artiste's bail condition.

The assault case was postponed last month as the complainant, Racquel Smith, did not show up.

The trial will begin on January 11.

Pryce was arrested in September after Smith reported that the artiste used a hammer to beat her in her knees and head. She also told the police that he used an electric insect swatter that resembles a tennis racket to beat her.

On an earlier court date in October, Smith, 19, had communicated through her attorney, Terrence Ballentine, that she wanted the matter to go to mediation, however, RM Lorna Shelly Williams had denied the request.

Because of overcrowding problems and complaints from women that men were sexually ha****ing them, India set aside female only trains so women could ride comfortably

Problem is, some men would still sneak into the female only coaches, causing problems.

To combat this, An all female police task force was created in New Delhi to find and punish men who dared press their luck.

Now if a man is caught on a train reserved for women, he will literally get the sh*t slapped out of him by the female cops and train passengers.

Gurgaon police commissioner S Deswal, who led a recent raid told News.Com.AU"We found many male passengers in the women's coach. The moment the women saw us, they got the courage to teach the men a lesson. "We want our young girls and women to feel confident and safe while travelling in the metro."

In addition to getting b*tch slapped, the men are further humiliated by being forced to do squats and push ups. They must also pay a fine of 250 rupees ($A5.50).

In a sign of changing times, and of a changing Eminem, his 10 nominations for the 2011 Grammy Awards were not controversial, but predictable and respected.

The rapper is nominated for album of the year along with nine honors, leading the entire music industry. Bruno Mars earned an impressive seven nods.

Other top nominees included Lady Antebellum, Jay-Z and Lady Gaga, who were all nominated for six. Lady Gaga also was nominated for album of the year.

Intense Eminem

Country trio Lady Antebellum was rewarded for its huge crossover successes, earning nominations for album of the year, record of the year and song of the year.

Justin Bieber, astoundingly, is up for Best New Artist. "It feels amazing. I can't believe I'm in this position. Thank you," he said. "I don't know what to say."

Other nominees for record of the year included Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' anthem for NYC, "Empire State of Mind." But not everyone got the love they expected.

Katy Perry's "California Gurls" was a huge hit but shut out of the record and song of the year (Katy's Teenage Dream was nominated for album of the year).

The evening's biggest snub may belong to Ke$ha. The party girl singer had a top-selling debut and several hits, but was not nominated for any awards.

On the flip side, she cannot sing, so you can sort of see it. Anyway, follow the jump for the full list of nominees for the 2011 Grammy Awards ...

71-Y-O RAPED TWICE IN FOUR MONTHS

Rasbert Turner and Dwayne McLeod, Star Writers

A 71-year-old St Catherine woman is now left to go through the trauma of being raped not just once, but twice in three months.

The Bog Walk police are now working relentlessly as they try to ascertain the identity of a man who reportedly broke into the elderly woman's home before raping her last week.

According to reports, the elderly woman who lives alone was at her home near Kent Village in the parish when she was attacked.

The police say a man used a crowbar to break off a door on the woman's house and gained entry.

He then forcefully had sex with the woman several times before leaving, after which she made a report to the police who immediately launched an investigation.

Investigators are yet to link a suspect to the incident but are still trying.

Police sources informed THE STAR that the woman was also raped in August of this year.

Following intense investigations into that incident her alleged attacker was taken into custody where he remains while awaiting trial.

THE STAR heard that not a single relative of the woman can be located.

Meanwhile, residents of the community are saddened by the incident.

"Lawd it look like dem a tek a set pon di ole woman. A di second time dem rape her since year," Juliet, a resident said.

As the festive season approaches many are looking forward to drinking and hanging out with friends.
Well it might not be so easy as an additional tax by the government has now ensured that those who want to drink and smoke will have to dig deeper into their pockets to do so.

Consumers of alcoholic beverages and smokers have again been hit with increased taxes as government seeks to raise an additional $772 million for the 2010/11 fiscal year.

The increases take effect today.

Finance Minister Audley Shaw, who unveiled the new measures in Parliament yesterday, said the increased taxes will "assist the government in meeting its revenue targets for the 2010/2011 fiscal year".

Shaw said a single specific Special Consumption Tax (SCT) of $960 per litre of pure alcohol will be applied to beers and stouts, wines (including beverages commonly known as tonic wines), cordials, liqueurs, vodka, whiskey, brandy, gin, underproof and overproof rum, except white overproof rum.

GRANVILLE, St James The Granville Police were forced to call in reinforcement as brazen gunmen this morning peppered the police station with bullets in retaliation for the deadly shooting of 25-year-old Leon Griffiths in the community early this morning.

The militant gunmen, who marched from a hilly section of the community, descended on the police station which they sprayed with gunshots from high-powered firearms, forcing police and civilians who were standing in close proximity to take cover.

Earlier, residents used debris which they set on fire to block several sections of the community.

Several sections of the community were cordoned off by the police.

A 47 year old gay man was arrested at San Francisco International Airport after ejaculating while being patted down by a male TSA agent. Percy Cummings, an interior designer from San Francisco, is being held without bail after the alleged incident, charged with sexually assaulting a Federal agent.

According to Cummings partner, Sergio Armani, Cummings has multiple piercings on his manhood which were detected during a full body scan. As a result, Cummings was pulled aside for a pat-down. Armani stated that the unidentified TSA agent spent an inordinate amount of time groping Cummings, who had apparently become sexually aroused. Cummings, who has a history of sexual dysfunction, ejaculated while the TSA agents hand was feeling the piercings. The TSA agent, according to several witnesses, promptly called for back up. Cummings was thrown to the ground and handcuffed.

A TSA spokesperson declined to comment on this specifc [sic] case, but said that anyone ejaculating during a pat-down would be subject to arrest.

Although the claims in the report have not been verified, the story has become a trending Internet topic.

Ifrica, Rebel Seh Sup'm'

After stepping out of her black, high wedge-heeled shoes and stepping up to the stage at the Village Blues Bar on Sunday night, Queen Ifrica performed 'Lioness on the Rise', near capacity audience whooping its encouragement.

Performing with an emphasis on melody and the range of her voice, without trying to whip up the audience with theatrics - not that they were not duly whipped up anyway - Ifrica eventually instructed the person playing the tracks "pull it up Ryan".

And she instructed the audience "this is where you clap", which they did. "Me used to all kinds of audiences, but this one close up," Ifrica said. "And guess what? Me shy. But me love it, cause a music."

Ifrica was the penultimate performer on the final staging of 'Seh Sup'm', the poetry and live-music event which is staged on the final Sunday of the month, for 2010. The November edition of the Root Cause produced event was a benefit for the M&N Foundation for Aspiring Youth, the two organisations' second collaboration of the year.

While Ifrica did not deliver spoken word pieces she certainly spoke her mind at the Village Blues Bar, in between Iguana, Heroes, Brown Skin, Far AwayProtect and Serve and Below the Waist, she spoke at length about visiting Tredegar Park, the importance of showing children affection, bleaching (introducing her all-natural cousin on stage in the process), how women should support their men and advertising, among other issues

Tony Rebel wrapped up the night in fine style, with a mixture of deejaying and singing, the latter including Gregory Isaacs' Night Nurse' supported by a scaled down Triplicity. He claimed his place in originating Jamaican music, saying "the genre whe name singjay inna reggae, a me create it. And me make the name too".

While the term is now widely used, he said "them not even know who create it. Me talk up a Village. A me".

When this flasher woke up this morning, snapped a condom on his dong, threw on a messenger bag and headed into the subway to delight one special lady with the fruit of his loins, he probably wasn't expecting this. HollabackNYC has a video (SFW on mute) of the woman every woman wants to be when confronted by a flasher, calling him out and screaming, "Oh, you're getting f****** arrested. I'm not leaving your side."You almost feel sorry for the flasher, who seems so flabbergasted at the whole thing he can't even form a defense. Almost.

The whistle-blower website WikiLeaks published nearly 400,000 classified military documents from the Iraq war on Friday, calling it the largest classified military leak in history.

The latest round of leaked documents provides a new picture of how many Iraqi civilians have been killed, a new window on the role that Iran has played in supporting Iraqi militants and many accounts of abuse by Iraqi's army and police, according to The New York Times.

The Times was one of a handful of news organizations that was provided early access to the papers.

According to new documents, the vast majority of slain civilians were killed by other Iraqis.

The U.S. military is notifying Iraqis named in the documents, Pentagon Press Secretary Geoff Morrell told CNN.

"There are 300 names of Iraqis in here that we think would be particularly endangered by their exposure," he said. "We have passed that information on to U.S. Forces Iraq. They are in the process right now of contacting those Iraqis to try to safeguard them."

The Pentagon had not previously warned Iraqi civilians who have cooperated with the United States that their names may be posted on the internet.

"We don't want to start notifying people and then find out that their names aren't in any of these documents that are released," Col. David Lapan, a top Pentagon spokesman, said earlier Friday. "Why put people through the trouble and the concern for no reason?"

The Pentagon denounced the release, which WikiLeaks said comprised 391,832 reports.

"This is all classified secret information never designed to be exposed to the public," Morrell told CNN Friday. "Our greatest fear is that it puts our troops in even greater danger than they inherently are on these battlefields. That it will expose tactics, techniques and procedures -- how they operate on the battlefield, how they respond under attack, the capabilities of our equipment ... how we cultivate sources (and) how we work with Iraqis."

After a similar release of 77,000 classified documents from the war in Afghanistan, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen said Wiki Leaks "might already have on their hands the *la*hd of some young soldier or that of an Afghan family."

Morrell echoed that sentiment Friday.

Wikileaks began on Sunday November 28th publishing 251,287 leaked United States embassy cables, the largest set of confidential documents ever to be released into the public domain. The documents will give people around the world an unprecedented insight into US Government foreign activities.

The cables, which date from 1966 up until the end of February this year, contain confidential communications between 274 embassies in countries throughout the world and the State Department in Washington DC. 15,652 of the cables are classified Secret.

The embassy cables will be released in stages over the next few months. The subject matter of these cables is of such importance, and the geographical spread so broad, that to do otherwise would not do this material justice.

The cables show the extent of US spying on its allies and the UN; turning a blind eye to corruption and human rights abuse in "client states"; backroom deals with supposedly neutral countries; lobbying for US corporations; and the measures US diplomats take to advance those who have access to them.

This document release reveals the contradictions between the USs public persona and what it says behind closed doors and shows that if citizens in a democracy want their governments to reflect their wishes, they should ask to see whats going on behind the scenes.

Every American schoolchild is taught that George Washington the countrys first President could not tell a lie. If the administrations of his successors lived up to the same principle, todays document flood would be a mere embar****ment. Instead, the US Government has been warning governments -- even the most corrupt -- around the world about the coming leaks and is bracing itself for the exposures.

The full set consists of 251,287 documents, comprising 261,276,536 words (seven times the size of "The Iraq War Logs", the world's previously largest classified information release).

The cables cover from 28th December 1966 to 28th February 2010 and originate from 274 embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions.

'Baby Klaus' has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition in which excess fluid builds up in the brain and can damage sensitive tissue.

Neurosurgeons at a hospital in San Antonio are fighting to save the life of an 11-month old baby born with a rare condition that caused his head to swell to more than twice the normal size.

"Baby Klaus," as his parents and local media are calling him, was born with hydrocephalus, a build-up of excess fluid in the brain that has caused his head to swell to more than 130% larger than a typical newborn's head.

After several doctors near their home in west Texas refused to operate or told them that their baby would die soon, the stricken baby's parents, who identified themselves as Klaus Sr. and Beatrice, found a hopeful savior in Dr. David Jimenez, the chairmen of the department of neurosurgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Jimenez and his staff inserted a tube in the baby's head to drain the fluid and relieve the pressure, and the child's head is already about a foot smaller than it was when his parents brought him in about two weeks ago, San Antonio's KENS5-TV reported.

Still, doctors and hydrocephalus experts said Baby Klaus's had a particular severe case and that progress would be slow.

"It's like nothing that I've seen before," Jimenez said.

Known to doctors as "water on the brain," hydrocephalus occurs in about 1 out of 500 babies born and can cause brain damage, according to the Mayo Clinic's website. If left untreated, the condition can be fatal.

Baby Klaus's parents told local media in a news conference that they are praying for their son every day and hopeful that the fact that he has managed to live almost a year is a sign that he will survive. It is likely, though, that he faces extensive reconstructive surgery in the future, Jimenez said.

"What I can tell about my son is he's a great fighter," Klaus, Sr. told KENS5-TV"He's a warrior."

The  photos were sent in by a loyal and trusted MTO reader (thanks GIRRRRL). They were apparently taken at an unsupervised party that the 17 year old Bobbi Kris attended.

As the images show, Bobbi was drinking the VERY HIGH ALCOHOL energy drink Four Loko. And she's smoking a NEWPORT cigarette. In another pic she's MAKING OUT with a woman.

Whitney . . . Bobby . .. go get your daughter. She obviously needs some GUIDANCE!!!
