PHILADELPHIA - Indianapolis Colts star receiver Marvin Harrison was interviewed by police about a shooting near his North Philadelphia bar this week. Lt. Frank Vanore said the investigation of Tuesday's shooting was continuing. Harrison has not been arrested or charged.
"He was interviewed," Vanore said Friday. "Why he was interviewed, that is all part of the investigation. No one is a suspect."
Radio station WIP, citing unidentified sources, reported the alleged shooting victim argued with Harrison at Playmakers bar. The victim left and headed to his car, Harrison followed and gunfire broke out, the station reported. The alleged victim was shot in the hand and did not identify the shooter, according to the radio station.
Harrison, a prep football star at Philadelphia's Roman Catholic High, has owned Playmakers since July 2004, according to state records.
After the first day of their rookie minicamp, Colts coach Tony Dungy said he knew little more than had been reported.
"My phone has been ringing, too, but I don't have any details," Dungy said. "I really don't have any more information than you do."
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the league is aware of the report and is looking into it. Harrison's agent, Tom Condon, did not immediately return a call.
A source told WIP that ballistic tests showed the shots were fired from a custom-made Belgian weapon, and police determined Harrison owns that kind of gun.
Police went to a Philadelphia car wash owned by Harrison and questioned him about the gun, the station said. Harrison acknowledged owning such a weapon, but told officials it never left his suburban Philadelphia home, the radio station reported.
The source told the station a gun was discovered in a bucket at the car wash, and tests showed it had fired bullets that matched those at the scene.
Harrison has played his entire 12-season career with the Colts and is the franchise's record-holder in every major receiving category receptions (1,042), yards (13,944), touchdowns (123) and 100-yard games (59). The 35-year-old is one of only four players in league history to top 1,000 receptions.
But after eight consecutive Pro Bowl appearances, last season was the most frustrating of Harrison's career.
He injured his left knee against Denver on Sept. 30, finished with 20 receptions for 247 yards and one TD and missed all but five games.
Team president Bill Polian said in February that Harrison was recovering from offseason arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and had been rehabilitating the inflamed capsule in his left knee. He was not expected to be completely healthy for the start of the Colts training camp July 24.
The typically quiet Harrison has a reputation for being humble on and off the field.
But he's still one of the Colts' most visible players and their longest tenured veteran. Harrison, along with Peyton Manning and Edgerrin James, were nicknamed Indy's triplets in the late 1990s. He was a first-round draft pick in 1996 out of Syracuse and wound up the best receiver in a class that included Keyshawn Johnson and Eric Moulds.
Off the field, Harrison was sued following the 2005 Pro Bowl when three boys accused him of attacking them when they tried to get his autograph. The suit alleged Harrison "violently and physically attacked" the minors, including placing a "potentially deadly choke hold" on one of the boys, but it was later dismissed.
The actor, who is married to former Dawson's Creek star Katie Holmes, is said to have made peace with Sumner Redstone, the CEO of Viacom, after falling out when Redstone made the decision to drop Cruise's production company, United Artists Studio, from Paramount Pictures.
Waiting on the green-light
The pair were spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel last month discussing plans for Cruise to star in the fourth film in the successful franchise.
A source said: "Tom will make Mission Impossible: 4 once Paramount green-lights the script. There will most definitely be another Mission: Impossible!"
Cruise's United Artists Studio, which he runs with production partner Paula Wagner was responsible for last year's political thriller Lions for Lambs, starring Cruise, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.
Cruise can next be seen in the comedy Tropic Thunder alongside Robert Downey Jr and Owen Wilson, and the highly controversial war drama Valkyrie.
The makers of a video game which was outlawed for being "sadistic, brutal and bleak" have finally had the ban lifted after an extended legal battle.
Horror title Manhunt 2, made by the successful British games developer Rockstar, has been granted a certificate after a nine-month fight with the British Board of Film Classification.
Last June the BBFC refused to grant a rating to the game, effectively making it the first to be banned in the UK for a decade.
The game in which players take the role of a patient who escapes from an asylum was accused of unremitting and gratuitous violence, with BBFC director David Cooke saying that Manhunt 2 could not be given had been rejected because of its "sustained and cumulative casual sadism".
The game's makers rejected those accusations, and said that the game was no more violent than many mainstream horror films. However, when a modified version of the game - with some of the more gruesome sequences removed - was again rejected, the matter became subject to a legal game of cat and mouse.
It eventually ended at the high court, where the BBFC's decision was overturned and the UK's censorship arbitration body, the video appeals committee (VAC), granted the certificate.
An edited version of the game will now be released with an 18 rating.
"We are pleased that the VAC has reaffirmed its decision recognising that Manhunt 2 is well within the bounds established by other 18+ rated entertainment," Rockstar said in a statement.
Lawrence Abramson, a partner at Harbottle & Lewis who represented Rockstar in the case, said that the entire censorship system needed to be rethought to take account of the video games industry.
"The system works in films, but the gameplaying experience is different," he told the Guardian.
The BBFC refused to comment.
A new inalienable right could be enshrined soon in Ecuador's constitution: the pursuit of sexual happiness for women.
The proposal by a member of the ruling party has created a stir in this socially conservative Andean nation, where a constitutional assembly is at work.
Assembly member Maria Soledad Vela, who belongs to President Rafael Correa's party and sits on a committee defining fundamental constitutional rights, said women have traditionally been seen as sexual objects or in a solely reproductive role in Ecuador.
On Monday, Vela said the right to sexual enjoyment means ensuring women can make free, responsible and informed decisions about their sex lives.
Fellow committee members proposed separate provisions for women's sexual and reproductive rights, an alternative Vela approved.
Opposition Assembly member Leonardo Viteri accused Vela of trying to decree orgasm by law, saying it 'isn't possible.'
'I never asked for the right to orgasm, only the right to enjoyment,' Vela responded.

I am a 16-year-old who has two children and am pregnant with my third. The father of my children is 47. I have been forced to prostitute myself because I don't have an education and my boyfriend doesn't support me and the children. I have slept with many, many men and I do not know who the father of my unborn child is. I'm afraid that if I tell my current boyfriend that I am not sure if he is the father, he will kill me.
I am waiting for your fatherly advice.
M. S., Westmoreland, Jamaica
Dear M. S.,
How is it that you are only 16 and are carrying your third child? The father or fathers of your children should have been arrested. You don't know who has impregnated you because you have been working as a prostitute. You are in big trouble and if it is not your boyfriend who got you pregnant, I hope that he will have mercy on you and help you.
I wonder if you would consider giving up the child you are carrying up for adoption. And I also think that you should consider asking others to help you with the first two children so that you can go back to school. You have been having unprotected sex and by doing so you are putting your life in danger. So, please desist from doing so.

Mavado - File
Today we complete our six-part interview series with Mavado, one of the featured acts for the upcoming show, Rendezvous, on May 10. In yesterday's instalment, he spoke about travelling to New York and being denied entry. Today, we pick up on the impact of his lyrics.
Mel: There will be those who say dat yu lyrics help fuel de crime an' de crisis (in Jamaica). How yu respond to dat?
Mavado: Fuel de crime an' de crisis? (In a questioning, near incredulous tone). Hol' on now me don, how my music fe fuel de crime an' de crisis. (He goes on to speak about the improvement in his performance, the Red Stripe event at Mas Camp where he fell and his chain was taken by someone in the audience, leading to a bottle throwing by someone else and Red Stripe's sponsorship withdrawal).
Mel: Yu consider yusself a deejay or a singer?
Mavado: Deejay or singer? (There is a long pause as he considers). Me consider mesself as a missionary wid music, in which me jus' consider mesself as a man whe jus come fe do music... Yu understand? The latest Rolling Stone Magazine rates Mavado as the Best Reggae Artist in their Best of Rock 2008 issue. Mavado ranks amid this years crop of hand-picked winners such as, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, Lil Wayne, Danger Mouse and Chris Brown. Rolling Stone journalist Evan Serpick raves, If you think reggae died with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, think again. Jamaica's latest star, Mavado, c****ines hip-hop-influenced beats with ominous minor-key vocals about street life and salvation.
Also Billboard Magazine recently applauded Mavado for gaining the attention of hip hop mogul, Jay-Z for his On The Rock remix. "For most Jamaican dancehall artistes, securing a successful rapper on a song's remix is a hard-won seal of approval. So when Jay Z, who has never recorded on a reggae track, rhymed on a remix of singer Mavado's current hit, On The Rock, it became arguably the greatest endorsement ever given to any dancehall record," Pat Meschino stated in the Billboard article picked up Reuters, the world's largest international multimedia news agency.A lot of the positive moves made by Mavado often go unnoticed amidst the clamor of the negative headlines by certain media. Recognition from prestigious publications as well as the adulation of thousands of fans around the world is a great support system for Mavado and gives him the strength and drive he needs to keep moving forward. We will all continue to stay focused and positive, states Mavados manager, Julian Jones-Griffith.
Mavado has been involved with a multitude of notable contributions over the last month. The popular Grand Theft Auto IV video game, in stores today, will feature Mavados hot song Real McKoy, currently on the official trailer. Mavado recently donated $10,000 to the Womens Centre Foundation in Jamaica. His proceeds will help provide counseling, skills training and education to pregnant teens and shelter for battered women. Also Mavado cleverly flipped his popular On The Rock to We Need Barack for Russell Simmons and Green Lanterns official Barack Obama mixtape. The album will be given away as part of the candidates campaign and feature other artists Lenny Kravitz, Kanye West, Jay Z, Common and Mos Def.
According to the UKs Guardian Mavados tune is the most interesting of the compilation's contributors. Dave Stelfox further clarifies, the song may be awesome or hilarious depending on the way you look at these things, but the one thing it's not is incongruous. Despite not being eligible to vote in the US, Mavado still has every right to comment. After all, whatever happens there affects us all, no matter what flag we live under.
As his career flourishes, Mavado never skips a beat. Currently, the talented dee-jay/singer is in the studio working on his yet to be titled sophomore album on VP Records set to be released this summer. Neil Edwards, Mavados A&R, says There will be lots of surprises. It will definitely be a groundbreaking album for dancehall.Tragedy struck the quiet community of Rosewell, Cla-rendon, on Tuesday night between 10:00 and 11:00, when 55-year-old Stanley Jarman was burnt to death in his two-bedroom board house.
Jarman, who was blind and lived with his son who is in his early 20s, was home alone as his son was in Old Harbour at a club with friends.
When the STAR visited the scene, Jarman's son said, "I was in Old Harbour at a go-go club when I received a call that my house was flat. I left immediately and when I arrived I saw the crowd and the house was already burnt out with my father lying with his face down and his legs and hands completely burnt off."
He added, "I don't know why someone would do this to us because I now lose my father and I have nowhere to live."
The police have not say what caused the fire. However, they would not rule out arson.
One resident said they were still in shock. "The community feel bad about the way his life come to an end because he was a peaceful man and will be missed by many," the resident said.

David Blaine is on "Oprah" Wednesday, holding his breath in front of a studio audience.
She fidgeted in her chair, pursed her lips, placed her head in her hands, and kept seeking reassurance from the doctor at her side about the 35-year-old magician's persistently high heart rate.
"I'll be glad when it's over. I don't like suspense," she told the audience during a commercial break.
Soon enough, Winfrey -- and Blaine -- could breathe a lot easier.
Submerged in a water-filled sphere on the stage of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" during a live broadcast, Blaine held his breath for 17 minutes and 4 seconds. That bested the previous record of 16 minutes and 32 seconds, set February 10 by Switzerland's Peter Colat, according to Guinness World Records.

NEW YORK, New York -- It appears Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are ready to make beautiful music together.
A source close to Mariah has confirmed to Access Hollywood that the music diva is engaged to Nick Cannon.
Reps for both singers were unavailable for comment.
The couple sent the rumor mill into overdrive when 38-year-old Mariah (with
Nick on her arm) was seen sporting a dazzling new piece of bling on her ring finger at the after party for her Tribeca film, Tennessee, in New York.
When asked at the party what he loved about Mariah, 27-year-old Nick gave a one-word answer.
Everything, he told People.
Up until recently, Mariah had been romantically linked to music executive Mark Sudack. However, she never confirmed the romance.
Mariah was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 1998.
Nick was previously engaged to Victorias Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.
This will be the first marriage for the Drumline star.

We're back! THE STAR poll is here once again and dare we say, better than ever. We 'hit' the streets with all the juiciest questions about sex, obeah, music, religion and much more and now we're ready to give you the results. Prepare to be shocked and amused like never before.
It is often said that Jamaica is one of the most homophobic societies. In recent times especially, our stance against homosexuality has made international headlines and has even earned us an ultimatum from a Canadian human rights group.
We went to the streets and asked :
Do you have any friends or family members who you think are probably gay men or lesbians? Here's what we found out :
Yes .................................. 11%
No .................................... 84%
Don't Know ....................... 5%
As expected, the majority of the people polled said they did not have any friends or relatives who were gay. Somehow this does not come as a surprise as it would be very strange if more than 11 per cent had admitted knowing a gay person. This small margin however, was at least honest enough to talk about the fact that they were, in some way or another, associated with a gay person.
I met a man when I was 14 and he was 17. I got pregnant when I was 15, then he married me on my 18th birthday. He was a cheater and we fought a lot. He even got two girls pregnant. I could not take it anymore so I migrated to Antigua in 1995. My problem is that he won't help me with our daughter. He is always promising. This month my daughter will be 18 years old and going to college, but he is a deadbeat father. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would not have given him a glance. I am now remarried and my husband is a great dad to my daughter. It grieves my heart to know that my child's father is working $J51,000 every two weeks but he cannot help out in his child's education.
ML Antigua
Dear ML,
I can tell you that after your daughter has graduated from college, he is going to brag about her. In fact, he might even begin to brag before she graduates from college. I am sorry that you did not try to seek child support from him while your daughter was a minor. Right now you can only appeal to him to help his daughter.
I hope that she would always thank her stepfather for helping her and I also trust that her father will come to his senses and help her in college. Perhaps you may wish to appeal to his relatives to talk to him on your daughter's behalf. Your daughter should also write to him and tell him of her plans and ask him for help.

You have been talking to this person for quite some time now and you think she is worthy to be considered as a potential spouse. Subsequently, you organise a third date, the acid test to see if there is a meaningful connection beneath the chemistry.
Reviving the past
"I remember I went out with this woman once and all she kept talking about was her past relationship. Apparently, the guy was a jerk and her outlook on relationships was that all males are jerks." - Greg
If you have not got over your previous relationships, don't jump into another. Many females do this and unfairly judge the men they are currently dating. If James did you something wrong, take it out on James, not Michael.
Not sharing the load
"Me and this person have been going out for some time now, but the one thing that bothers me is that she doesn't pay for anything. It's not as if she is unemployed or I am forcing her to go out with me. I like her, but I would never marry her." - Chad
If you were born in the '50s or '60s, this would be a hard concept to grasp. But this is the 21st century and the playing field has been levelled. Both persons need to be supportive where finances are concerned. It's also very important for a woman to show a man that she can function independently.
Being argumentative
"There was this woman I dated, who had a problem for every solution. It was as if she did not want to see us happy, hence we argued constantly. The things that we argued about were so trivial. Sometimes, I call to say hi, and out of nowhere an argument arises." - Mark

He said: "He just wanted to have fun and meet some other people outside his usual environment. He is quite shocked. He told me he is suffering some psychological problems as a result of his injury."
Ronaldo, 31, had offered the hookers £300 to keep quiet even though prostitution is legal in Brazil.
Two were identified as a brunette named Andre Albertini and a burly blond calling himself Carla.
Albertini showed newsmen a car registration document in the stars full name of the name of Ronaldo Luiz Nazario de Lima left as a guarantee of payment.
Ronaldos press spokesman released a statement insisting: "As a result of recent happenings and with the objective of clearing things up, the athlete Ronaldo never used drugs and has no personal criminal record and has been victim of an extortion. He appreciates the decency of the authorities that are dealing with the issue, and if necessary he will take action."
Former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star Ronaldo has had surgery on his left knee and hopes to be back in action in six months.
His career has been blighted by injury but that has not stopped him winning two World Cups with Brazil, in 1994 and 2002.
In the second tournament he scored eight goals including two in the final against Germany.
A feud between students of North Street neighbours St George's College and Kingston College, over a teenage female student, has now left two boys nursing stab wounds in hospital.
A male student of St George's College was the latest victim of the dispute when he was stabbed yesterday afternoon in downtown Kingston. He was admitted at the Kingston Public Hospital.
According to teachers and students of both schools, the feud started after a female student was slapped by a student of St George's College. The girl reported the incident to her boyfriend from Kingston College, who went to her assistance.
The student then proceeded to confront the offending boy, who was slapped. Since this incident, which occurred a week ago, there have been other altercations between students of the schools.
Fear
When The Gleaner visited the campus of St George's College yesterday, several teachers were seen discussing the incident. As The Gleaner team left the campus, three schoolboys asked for escort to downtown Kingston as they said they feared for their safety.
Rupert Hemmings, principal of Kingston College, said his school and St George's are making efforts to quell the disturbance which has arisen because of the fights between boys of the schools.
"Kingston College and St George's College have had very warm relations for 83 years. Things have happened where these kids unfortunately don't know how to resolve their conflicts without disputes," he said.
"I went over to St George's today (yesterday) to appeal to the youngsters and tomorrow (today) they will reciprocate. We will do everything in our power to get these kids to behave in a manner which reflects the image of the school."
Efforts to get in contact with the principal of St George's, Margaret Campbell, were unsuccessful as she was locked in a meeting when The Gleaner visited the school. Subsequent calls to her office also went without an answer.
A teacher at St George's, who requested anonymity, called on parents to police their children more effectively, as her interaction with them on a daily basis has indicated a crisis.
"Parents need to pay more attention to their boys, because they come to school and they have no respect for authority. You cannot say anything to them, you just have to try with the good ones within the class."
Would you agree it is more then just what they are working with(pum pum) or no?
How can a man obtain that same power and gain the title of "King worthy"?
Mavado is out and Beenie Man is in...he will replace the singjay this weekend in Linden, Guyana. Mavado who was expected to perform there was banned from entering the country.
The Promoter Ryan Apple voiced his displeasure at the fact in an article printed in Guyana's newspaper Stabroek News. He expressed his dismay at the act and described as being "unfair."
"I find it strange that government is moving to ban an artiste that was here last year and sang those very songs that are now popular and someone whose music receives much airplay. They have no idea how many persons came in for Linden town day to see Mavado and the efforts that were put into the promotion", Apple stated to the newspaper.
Apple went on to say in the article that if government had issued guidelines for the Linden show instead of banning the artiste, he would have abided by them. He added that the security concerns being cited need to be elaborated upon.
In announcing the ban on Monday on Bounty Killer and Mavado, Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee said his ministry had exercised a lot of patience with entertainment organizers over the types of shows they hold here, pointing out that not long ago the authorities had sat down with some of the organizers to draft a set of conditions by which shows would be guided. But he noted that these conditions had not been upheld and as such they were blacklisting Bounty Killer and Mavado.
The meetings Rohee referred to were held last year following the Guyana Music Festival which featured Jamaican reggae star Buju Banton among others, and where several declamations were made against the gay community. Though Rohee did not elaborate on the bans now in effect, Bounty Killer's explicit incitements to murder gays is believed to have been a deciding factor while in Mavado's case, the gangster image he portrays has worked against him.
Where bans are concerned this is not the first one facing Mavado earlier in the year Mavado was banned from performing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines by police authorities for his propensity towards graphic, violent lyrics which they said encourage violence. The police said the decision was also made bearing in mind that St. Vincent and the Grenadines just came out from a record year for murders and an increase in violent crimes, especially involving firearms. There were 36 murders on the island in 2007, a huge jump from 13 in 2006.
I have a problem. I feel I have a bad father. When my father was going out he forgot his phone. Shortly after he left, a message popped up on his phone saying he should come to a woman's house for some hardcore sex. When my mother read it she was traumatised. She quickly went to one of my aunts to show her the message. When my father came home they had a big argument. After that he came in the night and asked me if I was going to stay with him and asked other uncomfortable questions, very uncomfortable. My mother planned to move after she got a divorce. My mother talked to us and we decided to give him another chance.
After a while, I started to hate the woman who sent the message because I knew her. I started to curse her. Whenever she sees my father, she always asks for a ride and to make things worse, she wants to sit in the front. I cursed her and told her that she can't tell any of us where she wants to sit because she was one who begged a ride. After a week I found my father watching a blue movie. I was so surprised. I've also noticed that he's watching other women's bottoms.
Pastor, I'm so confused. Please, help me.

Dear A K,
I know you love your mother and father and you were surprised when you came to realise that your father was seeing another woman, but your attitude towards your father and the woman is wrong. You should not be cursing the woman and you should not be using profanity at all. I understand that you wouldn't want her to be your friend. But when you curse this woman and use obscene language, you are telling the woman that your character is not good either.
Try your very best not to get too involved with any controversy that your mother and father may have. Pray for them, but do not take sides. Let each of them know that you love them. Your father should be more careful when he is watching pornographic movies, but I am startled by some of the things that you have said. You are sure that your father who never used to watch women's bottom is doing so now? You really have an eye on your father. You believe that he is really misbehaving. He is probably not doing what you think, so go easy on him.
Pastor
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Though it looks like a space-aged android playing the harmonica, it's actually a device designed to protect you in a biological or chemical attack.
The Oxygen Generating Mask lets you breathe for about 15-30 minutes without an oxygen tank.
The product was one of hundreds on display recently at a massive homeland security trade show where everything from mobile command centers, tiny surveillance cameras, robots and a soldier's helmet equipped with a video camera were on display.
