BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) - A Palm Beach County teacher has been fired because school officials say she put a student in a closet as punishment - again.

Rutha Scott was suspended for 71 days without pay in 2006 for placing a misbehaving student in a storage room at a Boca Raton high school. The school board voted unanimously on Wednesday to fire Scott after an investigation showed that she placed a student in a dark storage room in February.

Scott denied the allegations when questioned by a school police officer. Authorities say there wasn't enough evidence to bring criminal charges against the teacher.

Scott's attorney says she plans to appeal the firing.

Members of the notorious St James-based 'Stone Crusher' gang, have been seeking refuge in St Catherine com-munities, THE STAR has learnt.

The Montego Bay gang was in 2006 fingered as a major criminal network, involved in a spate of heinous murders, several of which were alleged to be linked to a deadly lottery scam in the Second City.

Commanding Officer for the St Catherine North Police, Superintendent Harry Daley, who has been temporarily re-assigned, revealed that in recent months, thugs affiliated with the infamous gang have been migrating to the parish.

"Our intelligence have led us to the finding that members of the gang have been taking refuge here," Superintendent Daley said.

He said communities in Old Harbour and Spanish Town are major choices for the thugs as they try to evade the attention of police in St James.

STAR investigations have confirmed what the senior cop said.

Residents have expressed the need to worry by claiming that the situation may bring unwanted attention to their communities.

"Di man dem come from MoBay and deh bout di place a chill out an a nuh nuttin fi dem start bad again ... So wi haffi a hope seh dem nuh bring nuh trouble inna our zone yu see it," one Spanish Town resident said.

"It bad enough seh wi have whole heap a gunman dung ya so ... Based pon wah we hear di crusher dem a some vicious yute dem, so if push come to shove yu know seh police nuh deh too far," one resident of Old Harbour explained.

Earlier this month, Denmar 'Blue' Woodhouse, 16, of Bullet Lane in Kitson Town, St Catherine, was shot dead by gunmen. The teenager was alleged to be a member of Stone Crusher gang.

Three men, aged 22, 25 and 28, were also injured in that incident and were hospitalised under police guard for questioning in relation to several crimes committed in Norwood, St James, and in St Catherine.

"One of them shot at the police recently," said Superintendent Daley.

Head of the St James police, Superintendent Steve McGregor, said there has not been any gang activity from 'stone crushers' in his division recently and it is quite possible they could be branching out.

"We have not been getting any reported activity from that gang in recent times," Superintendent McGregor said. "It is a possibility that these guys are migrating to other parishes ... Last year they were captured in different parts of the island."

6 people dead

HENDERSON, Ky -- An employee got into an argument with a supervisor at a western Kentucky plastics plant early today, then shot and killed five people before killing himself, police and a company official said.

The shooting happened around midnight at Atlantis Plastics in this Ohio River town of about 28,000 people.

The employee began fighting with a supervisor and was escorted from the building, company CEO Bud Philbrook said. As he was leaving, he took out a gun, shot the supervisor, then charged back into a break room and shot several employees. Then, he returned to the floor and shot another employee before killing himself, Philbrook said.

"It's just total shock. It's something you read about in the paper what happened at one of our facilities," Philbrook said.

It wasn't clear if the employee was carrying the gun, or if he retrieved it after the argument. "We don't know if the gun was in the car or if he went somewhere to get it," Henderson police Lt. David Piller said.

At least one other person was injured, police said. The wounded victim was taken to St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in Evansville, Ind., spokeswoman Cheryl Dauble said. That person was undergoing treatment, she said, but declined to release further information.

The names of the shooter and the victims were not released, and it was not clear if the supervisor was among the dead.

The Atlanta-based company has 1,300 employees worldwide, and about 150 in Henderson, where workers make parts for refrigerators and plastic siding for homes.

Henderson County Judge-Executive Sandy Watkins said the tragedy has shaken the entire town, partly because so many residents are either related to or know someone working at the plastics plant.

"Our whole community is in shock," Watkins said.

Hours after the shooting, police had set up a roadblock on the street leading to the plant, which is in an industrial area on the southern side of Henderson.

Other employees at the plant were sent home. About 34 were inside at the time of the shooting, Philbrook said.

In a news release on the company's Web site, Atlantis Plastics said it is a leading U.S. manufacturer of three kinds of products: polyethylene stretch films for wrapping pallets of materials, custom films for industrial and packaging uses, and molded plastic pieces used in products such as appliances and recreational vehicles.

The company has annual sales of $110 million, according to business directory Hoovers.

PHOENIX (AP)Shaquille ONeal will lose his special deputys badge in Maricopa County because of language he used in a rap video that mocks former teammate Kobe Bryant.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the Phoenix Suns centers use of a racially derogatory word and other foul language left him no choice. Arpaio made Shaq a special deputy in 2006 and promoted him to colonel of his largely ceremonial posse later that year.

I want his two badges back, Arpaio told The Associated Press on Tuesday. Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, theyre fired. I dont condone this type of racial conduct.

Shaq was seen in a video posted on the celebrity news and gossip Web site TMZ.com rapping that Kobe couldnt do without me. ONeal skewers the Lakers star, with whom he won three straight NBA titles from 2000-2002 while with Los Angeles, for not being able to win a championship without him.

I was freestyling. Thats all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever, ONeal told ESPN.com Monday. A call to the Suns on Tuesday seeking comment from ONeal was referred to his public relations firm, which didnt immediately respond.

Arpaio, who describes himself as Americas Toughest Sheriff and is best known for feeding jail inmates green bologna, clothing them in pink underwear, and making them work on chain gangs, said he didnt expect his actions would teach Shaq a lesson. But he hoped he learns that as a role model who wants to someday be a full-time sheriff, he needs to know his words matter.

Maybe Im old fashioned, but I dont think that either conduct should be out there publicly, even if media wasnt there, Arpaio said.

ONeal previously served as a reserve officer with the Miami Beach Police Department while playing for the Miami Heat. He also volunteered with the Tempe Police Department after being traded to the Suns in February.

Is An OLED Television The Future Of HDTV?
Friday February 29, 2008

You
hear it all the time about anything high end or high tech - the instant
you buy it, it's already been replaced by something better. Drive a new
car off the lot and see it depreciate the instant the rubber hits the
road.

Purchase a new computer and before you get it out of the box, it's already been replaced with a new and more powerful model.

And
then there are your HDTVs, which have come way down in price while
going way up in quality. Surely they haven't come up with something to
replace those plasma or LCD screens with such beautiful pictures?
Actually, they have. They're called OLEDs, short for organic
light-emitting diodes.

What's that? It's a flat panel TV made
out of organic material. The picture quality is incredible, with
a colour contrast ratio of a million to one. But that's not all. The
pixels actually emit their own light - and that means the set is no
thicker than the width of three credit cards. With something that thin,
it could let you take the Jetson's-like step of hanging the entire set
on the wall like a picture.

And it comes with one other bonus
- because it puts out its own light, it draws a lot less electricity.
"It consumes as little as 34 watts, which is less than a conventional
light bulb," explains Patrick Lapointe of Sony Canada.

Many of
those who've seen it have been blown away by the quality of the
picture. "Looking at it, you know, from pictures and specs and seeing
it in real life, it's just unbelievable," marvels Glenn, an I.T.
technician.

But every new product has some kind of drawback to
it and this one is no different. Where plasma and LCD screens measure
40 or 50 inches or more, the first OLED for sale is only 11 measly
inches and costs $2,500. It lasts for 30,000 hours although Sony is
looking at escalating it to a 27 inch screen - still not close to its
competitors, but a major step up.

Still, not everyone is ready
to step out on a ledge for OLED. "New technologies, usually you've got
to wait and see if there's anything wrong with them," cautions Toomaj
Haghshenas. "The price is high and all that, but eventually, yeah."

The
11-inch model is available now but Sony won't say when the larger one
might appear at your electronics store. Your best bet: wait. If the
history of this explosive industry is any indication, the screens will
get bigger and the prices will almost certainly get smaller.

McCain Adviser: Another Attack on U.S. Would Be "Big Advantage" For McCain

Fortune Magazine is running a profile on John McCain titled, "The evolution of John McCain." McCain's chief advisor, Charlie Black, is interviewed in the piece. Below is a choice quote from Black on why he thinks another terrorist attack on US soil would help McCain win the presidency.

On national security McCain wins. We saw how that might play out early in the campaign, when one good scare, one timely reminder of the chaos lurking in the world, probably saved McCain in New Hampshire, a state he had to win to save his candidacy - this according to McCain's chief strategist, Charlie Black. The assassination of Benazir Bhutto in December was an "unfortunate event," says Black. "But his knowledge and ability to talk about it reemphasized that this is the guy who's ready to be Commander-in-Chief. And it helped us." As would, Black concedes with startling candor after we raise the issue, another terrorist attack on U.S. soil. "Certainly it would be a big advantage to him," says Black.

CondomSprayR_468x340.jpg

Scientists have developed a spray on condom that is tailor made to a man's most treasured asset in seconds.

The sheath, invented by the Condom Consultancy in Germany, is made in a chamber that pumps out liquid latex over the man's penis and then dries in 20 to 25 seconds. It is later rolled off like a normal condom. The aim is to cut the drying time to 10 seconds.

Inventor Jan Vinzenz Krause said it is better than the one-size-fits-all versions on sale in shops.

"We thought why not come up with a condom that fits the man rather than vice versa? This would represent a revolution in the condom market," said Krause.

He has filed for a patent for the latex spraying system he invented. "As far as I know our idea is unique," said Krause.

He admits he will have to overcome some legal hurdles and technical niggles before he can bring the product to market, but he already has a working prototype and says the system can cater for most sizes.

"With our technology we could spray a condom on an erect elephant," he declared, not without a hint of pride.

Men who tested the prototype were split in their reactions.

"Some said it's a great idea and would help them because they can't find conventional condoms that fit them," Mr Krause said.

"Others say they can't imagine it working in practice. There's the romance factor: applying the condom does interfere with the sex act."

The spray-on condom will be more expensive than conventional ones. The chamber will cost around Ł17 and the liquid latex refills, which produce between 10 and 20 condoms depending on size, will be priced at between Ł5 to Ł7.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- They were eviltaking somebodys walkerpeople dont use walkers for nothing.

Strong words come from Sue Welch after the $300 walker she used daily was stolen while she shopped for groceries Monday afternoon. Welch says she shops at the Wal-Mart on 103rd street at least twice a month, and always leaves the walker at the front of the store. She suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and uses a motorized scooter to get around the store. When she returned to her walker a little over an hour later, someone had taken it.

My power chairs too bigI only take my power chair to big outingsI use my walker all the timenow Im left using my canewhich Im very unstable with the cane.

The stores manager could not be located inside, and the assistant manager would not let us view the security tapes. Welch tells us she was told the video shows two women walking into the store and grabbing the walker, then walking around the inside of the store. She says in the video, it looks as if one of the women is older than the other.

I would like for the person who took it to bring it back to Wal-Martto have a consciencea guilty conscience and bring it backno questions would be asked, just bring it back and leave it where you foundthat would be the greatest thing that I could pray for.

The walker was red with four wheels, and had a basket and chair attached. It was made by the Invacare Company. If you know where this chair is, please call police.

California crooner Nate Dogg has been released from the Twin Towers jail in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning (Jun 24), after posting a $50,000 bond, AllHipHop.com has learned exclusively. The 38-year-old singer was picked up by the California Highway Patrol around 8:30 am the previous day, after an exchange with his estranged wife on Interstate 405.

On Monday (Jun 23) Nate, born Nathaniel Hale, was charged with one count of making terrorist threats and one charge of driving with a suspended license following an exchange with his wife.

According to a statement released by the CHP, a 911 call was received by a woman who identified herself as the singers wife. The caller indicated that her husband had threatened to kill her and was chasing her in his car heading north on the 405. Officers proceeded to intercept the two vehicles, and upon investigation, found that the unnamed victims statements and fears were justified.

Nate was arrested at 8:30 am. He was taken to the L.A. County Medical Ward at Twin Towers to undergo medical evaluation before being released into the general inmate population.

At press time, he had been moved to the Inmate Reception Center to await his release.

In March, the singer, who has delivered hooks for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and Eve, pleaded guilty to aggravated trespassing and battery charges in an Orange County, CA courtroom. The charges stemmed from an incident in which Nate was accused of breaking into an ex-girlfriends Huntington Beach home and punching her boyfriend in the face.

In 2001, he was also charged with possession of an unmarked gun, after allegedly kidnapping an ex-girlfriend and setting her mothers car on fire. He also pleaded guilty to that charge.

Having vaginal itches

I'm 45 and I have been married for 15 years. I have also been prostituting, but in the last two years I have decided to stop and take a serious look at my life. However, due to serious financial problems I had to go out a few times. In March of this year I started experiencing a vaginal itching. I went to the clinic and was treated for yeast infection but as soon as the medication finished the symptoms reappeared.

The doctor at the clinic had a long talk with me and then he decided to test my *lo** for HIV. I was tested HIV positive, I was surprised, but I also know that I'm to be blamed because I did not think I was firm enough about condom use with my clients. I'm glad however, that I had always protected my husband by using condoms consistently with him. He knows about my life styles but agreed because of our financial problems. I had just to find a way to pay the bills. What am I to expect? At times I feel angry, helpless and embarra**ed.

Prostituting Wife

Dear Prostituting Wife:

First of all I'm sorry to hear that you are infecting with HIV the virus that causes AIDS. After hearing that you tested positive for HIV, you may experience a wide range of emotional reactions. You may experience shock, anger, anxiety, fear, helplessness, guilt, uncertainty, embarra**ment, or a sense of isolation. All these feelings are normal.

It is important that you find emotional support. Talk about your test result with someone you trust. There are support groups for people who have tested HIV positive. It is also important that you practice safer sex not just with you husband, but also with your clients. This is important to your physical and mental health.

JACKSONVILLE , Fl. --- The Jacksonville Sheriffs office is investigating an incident they say took place in the Wal-Mart at Beach Blvd. and Hodges Blvd. They say a woman was walking out of the store on the way to her car. Thats when they believe a man walked up to the woman, put a knife to her back and forced her into her car. They say once inside the car, the man robbed her, then molested her.

The woman tells police she tried fighting off the man and eventually used her elbow to lean on the horn of her car. She says at that point, a man in an SUV pulled up next to them and asked if everything was alright. She says she was able to mouth the words Help to him---but almost immediately the suspect took off up Hodges Blvd.

Police say the man hit about 100 miles per hour on Hodges Boulevard , but lost control when he got to Hodges and Glenn Kernan Blvd. Thats when Brad Barnett says he saw the car smash into a sewer grate, and he went to help the people inside.

I asked the girl, whats going on with this guy---she says, go get himhe just carjacked mekidnapped me, raped me and robbed meso I ran after the guy, says Barnett.

Barnett says he started walking after the man, but he pulled a knife on him. So Barnett went and got a hammer from his truck and chased after the suspect.

He was like, I dont want to go back to jail---and I was like, you shouldnt have raped the chick.

Police eventually caught up with the suspect and arrested him. Barnett says he doesnt look at himself as a hero, he just hopes what goes around comes around.

Im just hoping Ive got some good karma coming my familys wayin case anything bad ever does happenlike I said, Id just like to hope that someone, if they see someone else in trouble whether it be a guy or girl, old or young---they stopand just help someone outyou just never know.

The suspect in this investigation is 50 year old Stephen Wilson. He faces a laundry list of charges including kidnapping, sexual battery and armed robbery. The victim in this investigation is expected to be alright.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville police say a man shot his 11-year-old son and the boy's mother in a hospital parking garage before killing himself.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Chief Rick Graham said Thursday the woman was in critical condition, and the boy was in fair condition.

Graham said the shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. as the three were walking toward the parking garage outside Baptist Medical Center. Nurses came outside after the shooting and began treating them. No one else was wounded.

Authorities said the couple had taken their son to Baptist on Wednesday night. The names of the man and the two victims have not been released. The cause of the shooting and whether the couple was married were unclear.

A hospital spokeswoman deferred comment to police.
A BABY girl died after GPs failed to spot NINE symptoms of meningitis. Two-month-old Ruby Cantys parents took her to their local surgery three times in 24 hours. At first, a family doctor said nothing was wrong, despite Ruby being drowsy and vomiting. They returned and were told she had a chest infection, and to give her Calpol. When the parents said Rubys arms had been in spasm, a doctor said it was a baby reflex. Distressed Mr and Mrs Canty went back later and were told that if they were that concerned, they should drive 40 minutes to the hospital. On arriving, medics were horrified Ruby had not been sent in an ambulance. They put her on a ventilator but she died a week later as the pneumococcal meningitis had ravaged her brain. Experts said she would have lived if given antibiotics just 12 hours earlier. Distraught Mrs Canty, 32, of Kidderminster, Worcs, said: We were made to feel our concerns were over the top. The Suns Dr Carol Cooper added: This shouldnt have happened. As a doctor you need to listen to a worried parent. Worcestershire Primary Care Trust said: We offer our condolences. remyma.jpgImprisoned rapper Remy Ma continues to face an uphill battle against shooting victim Makeda Barnes-Joseph, as the woman has re-filed a lawsuit against her, her label and the pizza shop for $10 million.

The suit claims Remy's former label, Universal Music and Sure Shot Recordings received "financial profit and economic benefit from the unlawful, violent, and anti-social conduct" of the rapper.

Barnes-Joesph also seeks compensation from downtown Manhattan restaurant, Pizza Bar, for continuing to serve the Bronx-bred rapper alcohol after she was already intoxicated. Remy and the victim were partying at the restaurant before the shooting occurred.

In addition the suit claims that Barnes-Joesph "suffered and still suffers great physical and mental pain and has been emotionally damaged," due to her altercation with Remy and has yet to return to work stating that the "injuries inflicted upon her by [Remy] are permanent in nature."

Filed in the Bronx, New York, over the weekend, the suit's focus on suing Universal and Sure Shot is based on the belief that they profited from the publicity of her trial. Barnes-Joesph expects to also reap the benefits of any additional gains.

"Any and all financial profit and economic benefit which the [defendants] gained and continues to gain from their promotion and publicizing of the shooting of [Makeda] is gained at [her] detriment and therby entitles [her] to damages from the [defendants] in an amount no less that the total amount of any and all monetary profit earned," the statement reads.

No word yet from either Remy's lawyers or representatives from Universal, Sure Shot or the Pizza Bar.cry

I want back my baby

need your advice on the following things. I had a boyfriend for three years, but I cheated on him a couple of times which was not really serious. I met a guy that I grew to love and I cheated on my boyfriend with him for a year. Needless to say that my boyfriend found out and I had to make a choice. I chose my boyfriend, but pastor, from then on things started to change. He watched me like a hawk and I really didn't mind because I learnt my lesson.

Six months ago he went away to work on a three year contract and that's where things went wrong. Everything was fine, but then I got a tattoo without his knowledge. A friend of his told him and we had a big argument which led to our break up. He said he proved he can't trust me. Three months later we decided to talk again, but it just wasn't like before.

Recently he came to Jamaica and didn't tell me he was coming. He just showed up at my doorstep and broke the news that he found someone else he still loves me. And he's not going to leave her because I hurt him so much and she seems to actually care. I cried so hard. I tried everything to keep him, but I saw that he made up his mind to talk to her. He said I should try to win back his trust, but, pastor, I just gave up as I was hurting so badly and it was obvious to me that he made the choice of choosing her over me. It's been a month and it kills me everyday.

Can you please tell me if I made the right choice or should I try again? I've met someone else and he's a nice guy, but I just want back my baby.

R. M., St. Catherine, Jamaica

Dear R. M.,

Move on with your life. This man has made up his mind. He doesn't want you in his life anymore. The relationship is dead. Bury it.

I am deeply shocked and horrified at the story I found, this senseless abuse of kids must stop!

Mother that forced her children to have sex with each other - sentenced to life

TYLER - Shauntel Mayo - the woman that organized the "Mineola Swinger's Club" and forced her own children to perform there - was found guilty in a Smith County Courthouse Thursday.

The jury decided 29-year-old Shauntel Mayo's fate in less than five minutes.

She received the maximum sentence of life behind bars and required to pay a $10,000 fine for engaging in organized criminal activity. She will be eligible for parole in 25 years.

"The unthinkable," said Smith County assistant district attorney Joe Murphy. "She had her kids have sex with each other and taught them to masterbate. She taught them how to strip. She withheld food from them. All so she could make money."

The so-called "Mineola Swinger's Club" is a place where Mayo forced her kids to go, if they wanted dinner.

Inside that 'club', which was a rented-out business that ironically once served as a daycare and hospital, Mayo and five others are accused of running an operation that forced young children to dance and perform sexual skits for food.

Five of the children are now in custody and three of them are Mayo's kids.

Texas Ranger Phillip Kemp, the lead investigator in the case, testified Wednesday that he believes that at least 15 more kids 'performed' at the "Mineola Swinger's Club" - but the investigation to locate them continues.

In March and less than 10 minutes after deliberating, a Smith County jury found Mayo's live-in boyfriend, 36-year-old Jaime Pittman, guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child and he was sentenced to life behind bars. Mayo's mother, Sheila Sones, is also charged in connection wtih this case.

At the times the alleged assaults took place in 2005, the defendant's children were a five-year-old girl, six-year-old boy and seven-year-old girl. The sibling's aunt and defendant's sister, who was also six-years- old, also testified she was forced to dance and have sex with the other children.

Late Wednesday afternoon, three young children and one teenager, took the stand and answered questions about Mayo's involvement in the case.

"We learned to strip (at 'kindergarten')," said the seven-year-old. " I had to touch my privates with my sister's and brother's privates for the people in the club."

The little boy testified about stripping for an audience that paid money to watch.

KETK does not identify sexual assault victims nor the new parents of these children.

According to the adoptive mother's testimony, three years removed from the sex ring, the kids still suffer extreme behavioral, emotional and physical problems.

One after another, the children described in graphic detail of a place they dubbed 'kindergarten.'

At 'kindergarten,' they said they learned how to strip, dance and perform sexual acts. First on dolls, then on each other. They also testified about 'silly pills.' Those pills were what each kid described they were given before going on stage. Prosecutors testified that the pills were likely Vicodin.

Upon "graduating" from 'kindergarten' the children said they moved on to "perform" at the club. After patrons paid a fee to get in, the kids say they had sexual contact with other children in front of an audience - including siblings and family members.

Jury members -- six men and four women -- cried as the kids testified. The children would not look at their mother until prosecutors asked them to identify and article of clothing she was wearing. Mayo sobbed upon seeing her kids and hearing the recollection of the events that took place, allegedly, in her care.

The children were adopted by a 60-year-old woman and man who said they have served as foster parents for 37 years."

This is so sickening that I am very disturbed about it!

findImg.php?pic_size=200&table_name=news_img_tab&table_field=img_id&img_id=1600 Two weeks ago the Warlord, Bounty Killer in a television interview threw down the gauntlet to his former friends turn rivals Monster Empire challenging then to a lyrical showdown with the intention of ending their feeble careers.

In the interview the Warlord said he is willing to pay to have the trio appear on any of the big upcoming stage shows namely, Champions In Action, Camp Fire or Sting and he promises he will bring an abrupt end to their rekindling careers.

Apparently this challenge has not fallen on deaf ears as spokesman for the group General B over the weekend got wind of the statement and issued one of his own.

"Mi hear Killa a seh him willing fi tek on the Monster Empire and dun di whole a we, him seh him we all pay fi kill we, so tell him mi seh we ready anytime him ready , all him haffi do is come up wid the money and we ready, Champions in Action, Sting anyweh, as a matter a fact anytime come wid di money now and we ready now" - he told 876radio

The very militant sounding General B and members of his crew seems to have a cadre of arsenal ready to take on the Warlord, either that or they are some very brave souls. Whatever the case may be, all we at 876radio can say is that it's going to be a very interesting Summer for Dancehall.

'If they saying something crazy, it's right there,' Fif says of his need to record his phone calls.

By Shaheem Reid

Round ... um, everybody is losing count. On Thursday (June 19), 50 Cent told his side of the latest drama between him and Young Buck on New York's Hot 97 radio station.

Earlier this week, 50 released portions of a call between him and Buck, in which his former crew member broke down in tears over his dismissal from the group and financial difficulties. Buck responded Wednesday afternoon with a dis record called "Taped Conversations." 50 retaliated by putting out the entire phone call on ThisIs50.com.

"A lot of times people don't see what the other person is doing," 50 said, explaining to host Angie Martinez why he taped the talk between him and Buck. "They don't understand the cause and effect. They don't see the other person; they just pay attention to me."

50 said the phone call took place just three months ago, at a time when he "was trying to be as helpful as possible" to Buck. 50 also said that he wasn't coming with any records toward Buck, but did imply that their friendship is beyond repair.

"It's crazy. When I see people showing me so many different things within their character, I don't value them anymore," the Unit's leader said.

When asked if he taped all his phone conversations, 50 said, "With idiots, yeah! So if they saying something crazy, it's right there."

Right before the break, Fif told stories of Buck's impulsive spending and once again alleged that he has a drug problem: "He needs to go to a program and get some real help," 50 said. "Then maybe we can talk to each other."

The MC brought up footage that recently appeared on the Internet in which Buck curses his former comrades during a concert.

"He's in the middle of his show, saying 'F' me and everything else that created him."

On Hot 97 on Friday at 12 p.m. ET, 50 plans to debut his new mixtape Sincerely Yours, featuring him and his team rhyming over old-school R&B beats.

NEW YORK (AP)Just in case anybody had forgotten that Kobe Bryant has never won an NBA title without Shaquille ONeal, the big man sent out a reminder.

The Phoenix Suns center can be seen rapping that Kobe couldnt do without me in a video posted online at celebrity news and gossip site TMZ.com
During the two-minute video, a grinning ONeal lurches through an improvised rap in which he skewers the Lakers star, with whom he won three straight NBA titles from 2000-2002 while with Los Angeles.
I was freestyling. Thats all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever, ONeal told ESPN.com Monday. That is what MCs do. They freestyle when called upon. Im totally cool with Kobe. No issue at all.
ONeal and Bryant last played together in 2004. After a long-simmering feud came to a boil in public, ONeal was traded to Miami before the 2004-05 season, and won an NBA championship with the Heat in 2006.
Bryant and the Lakers didnt reach the finals again until earlier this month, when the Boston Celtics beat them 4-2.
You know how I be, Shaq rapped. Last week Kobe couldnt do without me.rolc
eejay Vybz Kartel a.k.a Addi the Teacha has denied that he and DAngel are involved in an intimate relationship, and stressed that they're more than friends, they "are family'.

What you see is what you get. DAngel and I have known each other for many years, is not just a friend ting, it is family. Crazy people have been talking since they saw us at a dance in Barbican on Sunday and later on at the Quad, but what you see is what you get, is a family ting, we are both artistes, we collaborate on projects and that is it, he told one876entertainment.com

Vybz Kartel and DAngel scored a number one c****ination hit, Babyfather, several months ago in the height of the controversy when Kartel left the Alliance and was involved in a war of words with Bounty Killer and his protégé, Mavado. He also attended the wedding festivities of Beenie and DAngel when he was still a full-fledged member of the Alliance.  He and D'Angel also collaborated on a single that appeared to poke fun at Beenie Man late last year but that song fizzled soon after its release.

I tried posting it here an could not...Here is the link to it...Here

Pix from Sandrarose.com!

"As you know there was a recent public spat involving G-Unit boss 50 Cent and one of his AWOL soldiers, Young Buck. Fiddy alleges Buck owes him upwards of $200,000. Buck admitted this much during a secretly recorded phone conversation between himself and 50.

It seems 50 Cent thought Young Buck was doing club gigs to pay him his money while he (50) was away on tour in Africa. But such was not the case as 50 came back home to find out that Buck was sitting on his ass doing nothing for a month. So 50 did what any financial institution would do in his situation - he applied the pressure to that ass.

Now I hear Buck is taking offers to appear in nightclubs around the South to repay 50 what he owes him. It might take a while though. I hear Buck is only getting $30,000 per night.

Also appearing at Dreamz Nightclub on Saturday (6/21) was Rick Ross, Chamillionaire and Lil Scrappy" Sandrarose

Savannah Michelle Obama has been the recipient of rougher treatment than her husband for a reason, the president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference said Saturday.

One has ancestors who were slaves and the other doesnt, said Charles Steele Jr., president and CEO of the decades-old, Atlanta-based civil rights group.

obamas.jpg

Listen to a portion of his speech here.

Barack Obama is of the system. Hes going to be in the system, Steele told a morning gathering of the Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials.

Why are they attacking Michelle Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, and not really attacking, to that degree, her husband? Steele asked. Because he has no slave *lo** in him. He does not have any slave *lo** in him, but Michelle does.

This system is an issue. I dont care what you say. You cant expect the system that enslaved you save you, Steele said.

Steele admitted to the crowd that his remarks about the Obamas were intended to be provocative, but afterwards declined to expand upon them.

The SCLC said his larger point was that even should Obama win the presidency in November, the problems faced African-Americans will still require an outside voice

Most people either love or hate the iPhone's touch screen, and based on a report on the LA Times, women with long fingernails are among the haters. Why? Well, since the iPhone's touchscreen only responds to electrical charges emitted by your bare fingertips, women with long nails are left out in the cold. A woman interviewed for the article went so far as to suggest Apple was being misogynistic because it did not include a stylus for women and didn't consider womens' fingers and nails when designing the phone.

Honestly, though, this same argument has come up against keyboards, touch screen monitors, and anything else that involves the use of your fingers, so should every gadget maker change the design of its products to accommodate users with long nails, or should people with long nails learn to work around this problem like they have in the past? I'd love to hear what Apple has to say about all this, but I doubt they'll ever address this particular design flaw.

Personally, I'd rather have them focus on the real issues of the iPhone, like the lack of a video camera, extra storage, and better camera, but that's just me. Besides, there are styli outthere that work with the iPhone just fine and are pretty affordable.

This all reminded me of an iPhone reviewer who had a hard time using the iPhone due to her long nails, and in her frustration she said, "I guess people who use Apple products are too cool for fingernails." But are we? What do you think?

Legal troubles continue to mount for rapper DMX.

The Associated Press reports the rapper (born Earl Simmons) was picked up about 1:30 p.m. Monday (June 23) by Miami Dade County Police. Authorities, who had an arrest warrant for Simmons for not having a valid driver's license, took the Yonkers, NY entertainer to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institute.

According to a spokeswoman, Simmons remained behind bars at about 5:30 p.m. The rapper's bond was set at $500.

The arrest is but one of a string of recent encounters with the law involving Simmons.

The rapper's most recent legal episode came last month as he pleaded not guilty to felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges in Arizona. The charges stem from a raid of Simmons' Cave Creek home during an investigation of animal cruelty charges against the rapper.

In addition, Arizona police are investigating Simmons for allegedly checking into a hospital in Scottsdale under an assumed name to presumably avoid paying the hospital bill.

A message left with a New York attorney who has represented DMX was not immediately returned at the time of this story.

Gay social networking site launched in Jamaica

A new way for gay people in the Caribbean to communicate and meet up has been launched.

Rainbowvibes.com is described by its founders as "an online hub for Caribbean gay, lesbian, bisexual individuals living at home and overseas, in addition to the many others across the globe."

Matthew Raine, a gay Jamaican IT executive who lives in Canada and Andrea Rainford, a Jamaican lesbian marketing executive who lives on the island, created the site.

"The need was glaring and since it's something we craved ourselves and had the know how to get it done," explained Matthew.

"Our focus is on making the site it a fun, vibrant and meaningful destination online where our members are happy to spend time and tell their friends about it too.

"We're expecting it to do great things."

Matthew and Andrea said that "a good chunk of the funds generated" will be donated to Caribbean LGBT organisations.

The site has interactive similar to those on Facebook.

Members can create and join groups, add music, events, videos, chat, make friends, find dates, create and join discussions, write blogs and read news from the Caribbean and the World.

While Jamaica is notorious as for its homophobia, LGBT people face varying degrees of prejudice across the Caribbean region.

Sex between men in Jamaica is illegal, and punishable with up to ten years in jail, usually with hard labour.

Hatred for gay people is often publicly expressed by political and religious leaders in Jamaica.

Last month Prime Minister Bruce Golding told the BBC that he would not be granting gay people any rights and that he would not allow gay people to serve in his Cabinet.

"We're going to have to determine that for ourselves and we're going to have to determine to what extent those values will adapt over time to change; change in perception, change in understanding, as to how people live," he said.

A World Policy Institute survey on sexual orientation and human rights in the Americas said:

"In the Caribbean, Jamaica is by far the most dangerous place for sexual minorities, with frequent and often fatal attacks against gay men fostered by a popular culture that idolises reggae and dancehall singers whose lyrics call for burning and killing gay men."

TSA millimeter scanners
Leave it to the TSA to come up with new ways to check out what you're packing. In this case, those body-scanning machines we've known about for some time are being installed in 10 airports. They are already being used in Los Angeles, Baltimore, Denver, Alburquerque, and New York's JFK. Later this month, the TSA will add the bum-looking devices to major airports in Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, and Miami. By bouncing millimeter waves off passengers, the scanners produce a black-and-white image that's detailed enough to see the sweat on someone's back (among other things). The program is aimed at detecting objects such as plastic and ceramic weapons that aren't normally picked up by traditional methods. The technology does have a couple drawbacks, however: it can't see through plastic or rubber materials that resemble skin. Keep that in mind the next time you wear vinyl pants on your next trip to Mars, kids.

Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson was saved by religion - literally.

"They were discussing [how] Mike Tyson had to be murdered," gang member Shelby Henderson said yesterday about a conversation in 2000 among members of the vicious Cash Money Brothers.

Henderson, testifying in Brooklyn federal court, said the gang even saw Tyson a few months later and was ready to start shooting. But Henderson said he talked his buddy out of the killing because Tyson was a fellow Muslim.

Henderson revealed Tyson's brush with death as he testified for the prosecution at the murder trial of one of the gang members

I am a young Caymanian who is married to a Jamaican who is about 8 years younger than I am. I have two kids from a previous relationship and the guy married me with them. We both grew up in Seventh-day Adventist homes. We have been married now almost 2 years and living peacefully, except for one problem, he smokes. When we got together I knew that he smoked but about 4 to 6 months after our marriage, his smoking has got worse. To me it has become an addiction. He has to get his spliff first thing in the morning or he can't eat breakfast, and the same goes for lunch and dinner. He also has to smoke in between those times and almost everytime we have sex he has to smoke and get a Dragon or Guinness to drink.

Don't sleep

We don't have a child together and we are trying, but I told him he has to stop smoking for a while and that has become a problem to him. Some nights we don't sleep in the same bed, and we don't talk to each other for days and have even had a fight over his smoking. I love him very much, but to me his weed means more to him than I do. Anything he wants or need I try to make him happy, and I have changed a lot of my ways for him. I try to make him happy in more ways than one, but what about me? I am not happy anymore and the one little thing that I asked him not to do, he refuses. He has told me that if that is to make us split, then so be it.

Tell me, pastor, what can I do in this situation?

V.C., Grand Cayman

Dear V. C.,

There is no easy solution to your husband's problem which is affecting the relationship. You believe that your husband has a serious problem. You think he is an addict, but he doesn't think so. Therefore it will be very difficult for him to give up smoking. Someone (apart from you), needs to talk to your husband, not lecture to him. He needs to be told that the smoking of ganja lowers "serotonin levels and cause depression. "

Smoking is not good for one's health, but your husband may argue that he receives much comfort from smoking. He has already told you that "his weed means more to him" than you. So please don't try to control your husband. Unless he sees the need to change, he will not and it may take years before he comes to realise that his health is being affected.

Popular hip-hop jewelry maker Jacob "The Jeweler" Arabov was sentenced in Detroit today to 2 and 1/2 years in prison for denying his knowledge to federal agents about seized jewels from a known cocaine trafficker.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Arabov faced a maximum of 46 months behind bars for withholding information on jewelry he obtained from alleged Black Mafia Family (BMF) co-founder and drug dealer Terry Flenory. Pleading guilty last October, the 42 year-old was sentenced to 30 months with an additional $50,000 fine earlier today.

The jeweler, who came to Ameirca as a teenager by way of Uzbekistan, admitted his wrongs during sentencing.

"I feel ashamed that I broke the law of this county," he told U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn. "[It's] been so good to me and my family."

After sentencing, Cohn set January 15th as the date Arabov must report to prison, recommending the jeweler serve his time in a federal facility in Pennsylvania. He has also willingly forfeited $2 million to the government.

The case began in '05 when Arabov was indicted in Detroit for allegedly offering assistance to the BMF. It is assumed he helped launder around $270 million in drug proceeds.

Arabov's long list of clients included various hip-hop stars including Diddy, Nas, and Kanye West.

Obama inspires Italian fashion

The latest 'first' for Barack Obama comes off the Milan runway.

Calling the US presidential hopeful "the man of the moment", Donatella Versace dedicated her spring-summer 2009 collection, presented Saturday evening, to Obama, creating a style she said was designed for "a relaxed man who doesn't need to flex muscles to show he has power".

Chatting with reporters in the cool of the garden of her private palazzo in downtown Milan at an after-show dinner party, the designer also had some fashion tips for the campaign trail. "I would get rid of the tie and jazz up the shirt," she said.

In fact, there were no ties in Donatella's latest show, and shirts under jackets were either super easy, with rolled up sleeves, or replaced by a silk T-shirt.

The new Versace suit has a structured jacket softened by a double lapel or no lapel at all and slim trousers with slick techno-fabric sheen. Crazy zigzags break up the monotony of pinstripes and checks, while the pastel palette gives the collection a warm summer feel.

Sitting in the front row, actor Rupert Everett applauded enthusiastically, showing that even if it was not dedicated to him, he found the collection right up his alley.

Overall, this round of 'moda Milanese' menswear preview collections, which ends tomorrow, promises to be all about chilling out, a refreshing thought in a Milan in the grip of the summer's first heat wave.

The relaxed feel of the collections is epitomised by the return of the unlined jacket, which, when coupled with wide loose trousers, creates a casual, yet elegant, summer suit.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 24) - As Barack Obama broadens his outreach to evangelical voters, one of the movement's biggest names, James Dobson, accuses the likely Democratic presidential nominee of distorting the Bible and pushing a "fruitcake interpretation" of the Constitution. The criticism, to be aired Tuesday on Dobson's Focus on the Family radio program, comes shortly after an Obama aide suggested a meeting at the organization's headquarters here, said Tom Minnery, senior vice president for government and public policy at Focus on the Family. James C. Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, left, says Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama "is dragging biblical understanding through the gutter." The conservative Christian group provided The Associated Press with an advance copy of the pre-taped radio segment, which runs 18 minutes and highlights excerpts of a speech Obama gave in June 2006 to the liberal Christian group Call to Renewal. Obama mentions Dobson in the speech. "Even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools?" Obama said. "Would we go with James Dobson's or Al Sharpton's?" referring to the civil rights leader. Dobson took aim at examples Obama cited in asking which Biblical passages should guide public policy - chapters like Leviticus, which Obama said suggests slavery is OK and eating shellfish is an abomination, or Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, "a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application." "Folks haven't been reading their Bibles," Obama said. Dobson and Minnery accused Obama of wrongly equating Old Testament texts and dietary codes that no longer apply to Jesus' teachings in the New Testament. "I think he's deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology," Dobson said. "... He is dragging biblical understanding through the gutter." Joshua DuBois, director of religious affairs for Obama's campaign, said in a statement that a full reading of Obama's speech shows he is committed to reaching out to people of faith and standing up for families. "Obama is proud to have the support of millions of Americans of faith and looks forward to working across religious lines to bring our country together," DuBois said. Dobson reserved some of his harshest criticism for Obama's argument that the religiously motivated must frame debates over issues like abortion not just in their own religion's terms but in arguments accessible to all people. He said Obama, who supports abortion rights, is trying to govern by the "lowest common denominator of morality," labeling it "a fruitcake interpretation of the Constitution." "Am I required in a democracy to conform my efforts in the political arena to his *lo**y notion of what is right with regard to the lives of tiny babies?" Dobson said. "What he's trying to say here is unless everybody agrees, we have no right to fight for what we believe." The program was paid for by a Focus on the Family affiliate whose donations are taxed, Dobson said, so it's legal for that group to get more involved in politics. This content requires the most recent version of the Adobe Flash Player. Get this version below: Get Flash Check here to comment or read other Straw Poll voters' thoughts. Last week, DuBois, a former Assemblies of God associate minister, called Minnery for what Minnery described as a cordial discussion. He would not go into detail, but said Dubois offered to visit the ministry in August when the Democratic National Convention is in Denver. A possible Obama visit was not discussed, but Focus is open to one, Minnery said. McCain also has not met with Dobson. A McCain campaign staffer offered Dobson a meeting with McCain recently in Denver, Minnery said. Dobson declined because he prefers that candidates visit the Focus on the Family campus to learn more about the organization, Minnery said. Dobson has not backed off his statement that he could not in good conscience vote for McCain because of concerns over the Arizona senator's conservative credentials. Dobson has said he will vote in November but has suggested he might not vote for president. Obama recently met in Chicago with religious leaders, including conservative evangelicals. His campaign also plans thousands of "American Values House Parties," where participants discuss Obama and religion, as well as a presence on Christian radio and blogs.
BRISBANE, Australia - A man found asleep in a motorized wheelchair on a highway in northern Australia was charged with drunk driving, police said Monday. Officers in a patrol car noticed the man slumped in the stationary chair about 10 a.m. Friday on an exit lane near the tourist city of Cairns, regional traffic Inspector Bob Waters said. Cars were swerving to get around him, Waters said. The officers breath-tested the 64-year-old man, who registered a *lo** alcohol reading of 0.301 more than six times the legal driving limit. He was charged with operating a vehicle while drunk and ordered to report to court on July 7, where he faces a stiff fine if convicted. "The vehicles that we normally hear about with drink driving are the family car, the truck, the motorbike," Waters said. "But there are also other classes of vehicles that are subject to drink-driving laws," including horses, bicycles, and motorized wheelchairs. The man, whose name was not released, told police he was making a nine-mile trip from his home to a friend's place, Waters said. "He placed himself in a very dangerous situation," he said.
SHAQ DISSES THE MESS OUTTA KOBE

Shelz: Ya know, I don't even know what to say about this.  We are all aware being a rapper is Shaq-Fu's non-basketball obsession.  He's been recording for 15 years and say what you want, Shaq Diesel went platinum. So somebody was feeling him. But I had not had the pleasure of witnessing his freestyle skills until now. And whoa...... Now a few hours later after revisitng what he said in this freestyle, he told the folks over at ESPN that he was just having fun.  Blah Blah.  He and Kobe are cool.  Blah Blah. It's nothing and people should accept it as that.  Blah Blah Blah.

Take a look at this vid (compliments of TMZ) and tell me if this is just some fun, free-spirited rapping.

I have a bit of info that I admit is shaky at best. But, a lil bird says Trina has a tape of Buck getting very emotional. According to this rumor, he was trying to explain about disrespecting her on a record. Will try to get it for you. It was around the time when Buck made a song and mentioned her and Monica at the beginning.at At the time she didn't want problems with 50 Cent and G-Unit. But now its all fair game.
SPALDINGS, CLARENDON: A woman was robbed of $400,000 yesterday, just a few metres from a bank she was about to enter to lodge the money in Spaldings, Manchester, police reported. A man, believed to be an accomplice to the robber, has since been arrested and will face an identification parade, police said. Reports are that about 10 a.m., an employee of Mid-Island Pharmacy and Gift Centre in Spaldings, was on her way to the bank to make a lodgement. On reaching about 20 metres from the entrance of the bank, a bag she was carrying with the money, was held onto by a man but she refused to let go. A witness said after some resistance the man lifted his shirt and exposed what resembled a gun. On seeing the weapon, the woman let go of the bag and the robber ran to a waiting motor car, which sped away. The car, which reportedly had only the driver waiting, then sped away in the direction of Walderston, but was chased by taxi operators who saw what had taken place. Creton Bourne, proprietor of Mid-Island Pharmacy and Gift Centre, told THE STAR that a taxi driver chased the getaway car to Walderston, but the cabbie had a minor accident, giving the robbers a fairly good distance. One of the men, apparently fled the vehicle during this time. Bourne said, on realising that the other man was about to get away, the cabbie alerted the Porus police, giving a description of the motor car and its registration plates. The police immediately organised a roadblock, and the car was intercepted and the driver taken into custody. The cash was not in the driver's possession, but police say he will face an identification parade shortly. The police are also searching the Walderston area for the other robber.
