Dear Pastor,

I am a 15 years old female and a regular reader of your column. Since March, I have fallen deeply in love with a guy, who is 21 years old. This guy is my first true love and he lives in the same yard as my grandmother. I live with my mother. Recently, I allowed him to put a love mark on my neck and now I regret doing so. I am not allowed to go back to my grandmother's home again, so I can't see him anymore.

AWFUL FEELING IN THE STOMACH

The problem I have is that when I hear his favourite songs play or even remember anything about him, I get this awful feeling in my stomach and sometimes I even cry because I miss him a lot and, as I said before, I really love him.

Pastor, sometimes I feel as if I am going crazy. What must I do?

S.W., St. Andrew, Jamaica

Dear S.W.,

Do not worry, you won't die from not seeing this young man. Perhaps, the young man playfully gave you a hickey. Guys do that all the time. But, they fail to understand that when they do so, the girls often get into trouble with their parents. And, even their friends mock them. Some girls do not consider it embarra**ing to have a hickey and to let the world know that they have been making out, but others feel very embarra**ed.

I don't blame your parents for not allowing you to be around this young man. They are trying to protect you. It is one thing to engage in petting but petting often leads to having sex. You are only 15 years old and the young man is 21. Perhaps, his aim is to get you in the mood to have sex with you. Who knows, he may get you pregnant and mess you up and bring an extra burden to your parents. So, I congratulate them for trying to protect you.

50 Cent Making Before I Self-Destruct Movie to Accompany Albums December Release

9/23/08, 1:37 pm EST

22817323-22817326-slarge.jpg

50 Cents life is like a movie, so it makes sense that hes writing one. The rapper is working on a feature film, Before I Self-Destruct, which is based on his album of the same name. Its not Purple Rain, 50 says of the flick, which he also directed and produced. But it was inspired by the actual music. (His album is due out December 9th; 50 plans to release the movie simultaneously.)

The film which isnt autobiographical aims to show the complexities of what 50 refers to as urban life in a new way: When [movies] portray certain lifestyles they dont show cause and effect, he says. But I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were. He adds, There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated for not seeing them in the first place.

As for a soundtrack, tracks from Before I Self-Destruct the album will be missing from the movie. Then Interscope would automatically have the rights to it, when they had absolutely no ownership of the actual material, says 50, who penned a separate score for the film and recruited unsigned artists to record vocals. But that doesnt mean the tunes are sub-par. I kept the music up to standards, says 50. I worked with it until it was right.

Signs that Vybz Kartel is REALLY EVIL

Proof # 1- His Ring

9ptcg4.jpg
This ring has the Masonic Sign- Square and Compasses, which shows that he believes in freemasonry.

#2- His song on Day Break Riddim- Broad Day Light

He says: ' mi reach 33 degrees a masonry heights a evil'
From a site i was reasearching on.......a satanist wrote:

'I know for a fact that when you get to 33rd degree Freemasonary the final secret is, Satan is God.

The church of Satan helped design freemasonary in the same philosophy as this.

'Le Vey was the head of the church of Satan in the 1960's and he was theone who became a head mason. He designed this in the same format as thechurch of satan'

#3- The signs he does.....
X1wat672478-02.jpg

IYO0E938462-02.jpg

Thats a masonic sign...it has a specific meaning, wasnt interested in finding out what it means.blankstare

#4- Another line from one of his songs....
Severaltimes in the Old Testament we read about a land flowing with milk andhoney. The land which God gave the Israelites after their departurefrom Egypt , the land of Canaan or the 'promised land,' was this landwhich was figuratively painted as flowing with milk and honey.

Kartel says in a song dont remember the name now ' bout milk and honey go *u*k yuh muma angel'

isnt that dissing God???

Theseare just little hints my friend and i found.......from what iheard....he joined a colt, he always gets out of any court case, iheard it is a secret society so there's not really much proof of this.

The Republican vice presidential candidate attracted criticism for accusing Mr Obama of "palling around with terrorists", citing his association with the sixties radical William Ayers.

The attacks provoked a near lynch mob atmosphere at her rallies, with supporters yelling "terrorist" and "kill him" until the McCain campaign ordered her to tone down the rhetoric.

But it has now emerged that her demagogic tone may have unintentionally encouraged white supremacists to go even further.

The Secret Service warned the Obama family in mid October that they had seen a dramatic increase in the number of threats against the Democratic candidate, coinciding with Mrs Palin's attacks.

BYRON LEE.....DEAD!!!!!

The legend passes on - Soca community mourns Byron Lee's death
published: Wednesday | November 5, 2008

Byron Aloysius Lee

Legendary bandleader Byron Lee lost his battle with cancer yesterday. The soca icon died at the University Hospital of the West Indies at the age of 73.

Lee, fondly referred to as 'The Dragon', had been fighting transitional cell cancer and was being treated in Miami, Florida. He was later diagnosed with bladder cancer two years ago and returned to Jamaica, by air ambulance, on Saturday, October 25, and was being treated at The Tony Thwaites Wing.

"The family of The Honourable Byron Lee Sr, OJ, regretfully confirms that he passed away peacefully today," The Dragon's daughter, Julian Lee Samuels, told The Gleaner. "He fought a very brave battle with cancer and was in hospital surrounded by his family and close friends. He will be remembered not only as an excellent musician, but as a very kind, generous, humble and talented man who was always working to use music to unite persons of all ages, races and people from all walks of life."

Lee is survived by his wife, Sheila, sons Byron Jr, Edward John, daughters Deanna, Judith, Julianne and Danielle as well as grandchildren Amelia, Alexander, Jessica, Victoria, Amanda, Jaden and Dylan.

Prime Minister Bruce Golding said that Byron Lee had excelled not only as a musician, with his band Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, but was known to be one of the best promoters, label and studio owners, and can be credited for the explosion in popularity of Jamaica's music as far back as the 1960s.

Olivia Grange, minister of information, culture, youth and sports, with responsibility for entertainment, said she was deeply saddened by the passing of Lee.

People's National Party Spokesperson on Information and Culture, Lisa Hanna, expressed condolences and sympathies to Lee's family.

"Jamaica has lost a loved and treasured icon of our cultural fabric whose larger-than-life talent pioneered Jamaican music to the four corners of the world," she said in a statement.

Order of Jamaica

Lee was known for hits such as Tiny Winey and was recently conferred with the Order of Jamaica during a special ceremony at the hospital last week. He was given the award by Governor General Sir Kenneth Hall and the prime minister. The Order of Jamaica is the nation's fourth-highest honour. Lee was awarded the Order of Distinction (Officer class) in 1982. That honour was upgraded to Commander class in 2007.

Lee's career spans more than 50 years and he is credited with being one of the leading musicians to bring Jamaican music to the world. According to yahoomusic.com, when Bob Marley was a struggling young musician and a member of the little-known Wailers, Lee was perhaps the most well-known Jamaican bandleader in the world. Lee was 20 years old when he formed his band, the Dragonaires, in 1957, and has since travelled the world and assisted to popularise the carnival tradition in Jamaica through the annual Jamaica Carnival.

Bruce Golding

Prime Minister

Jamaica, and indeed the world, have lost another great music pioneer with the passing this morning of Byron Lee, one of the greatest bandleaders ever to grace the entertainment stages of the world.

Portia Simpson Miller

opposition leader

He brought a level of organisational discipline to music that was unprecedented. He is gone but his work will always be remembered.

Olivia Grange

minister of culture with responsibility for entertainment

Undoubtedly, Jamaica has lost another of its great sons of our music and culture.

Lisa Hanna

opposition spokesperson on culture

Today, we mourn with all Jamaicans, as we remember him for his scintillating rhythms, honest lyrics, discipline, professionalism, bold talent and intense passion for entertaining ... . Walk good, Dragon, you will forever be etched in the rhythm of our hearts.

Alison Hinds

soca artiste

He was the person who brought carnival to Jamaica. It's gonna be different but his spirit is gonna be there. There were times when he was particularly low that he would just want to be near the music and feel the vibes. I wish him well on his journey.

David Rudder

soca artiste

Byron was one of the fathers of Caribbean music. In terms of artistes, he brought all the artistes from different islands together. He was someone I could talk to and get advice from. The first time he brought carnival to Jamaica, I was there. We had a strong connection, not just a musical vibe. Byron Lee was a fixture in Trinidad.

Destra garcia

soca artiste

I've known that he has been ill for a while. The last time I spoke with him was earlier this year at carnival. All my prayers were with him and I wished he could have lasted a bit longer. His music has been a great influence, especially on the ragga soca style. He's a legend and I know he will live on for years and years. The young persons who did not know him through experience, like me, will know him through his music.

Is the anti-rape condom a good idea?

October 29, 2008
Started By GA11 Comments
"RapeX is an anti-rape female condom invented by a South African woman named Sonette Ehlers. As a former employee with the South African *lo** Transfusion Service, she treated many rape victims which served as her inspiration for creating this device. RapeX is a female condom that is inserted into the vagina much like a tampon.

It is made of latex, like a normal condom, but it is lined with 'shafts of sharp, inward-facing barbs.' If a man attempts to rape a woman, once he penetrates the woman, the condom would attach itself to the penis and cause severe pain to the man during withdrawal.

Ideally, once the man is writhing on the floor, the woman would have enough time to escape the scene. In addition, the perpetrator would be unable to remove the female condom from his penis; he would have to get it surgically removed which would be a tell-tale sign to authorities and help in legal prosecution."

THE Muslim wedding of a seven-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl has been raided by police. Cops arrested the Muslim cleric conducting the sick ceremony and the childrens parents in Pakistans largest city. The cleric had not yet begun the ceremony of Mohammad Waseem, seven, and his bride Nishain Karachi, five which was attended by 100 guests. Pakistan law forbids marriage below the age of 18 but some Muslim scholars say it is permissible if the bride and groom have reached puberty. TV footage showed both children in traditional wedding clothes in the laps of policemen after the raid the girl with tears running down her cheeks. The parents said the wedding had been arranged to end an eight-year feud between the two families, according to a report on Express News TV. Mr Mazhar said he had heard about similar cases in rural areas but it is shocking to have this right in the centre of the city. The parents are due to appear in court tomorrow. A Pakistan Human Rights Commission official Hina Gillani said the maximum possible punishment for the parents was one month in jail and fine of just over $10 (£6). lc

Two brothers from Sincelejo, tired of being one of the many unemployed on Col****ia's Caribbean coast, decided to set up a brothel. In this tropical brothel you won't find a variety of luscious mamis though. Thirty donkeys are available to fulfill the randy man's needs.

Those able to understand the welcome sign in the photo above will understand exactly what goes on behind the tree. Donkeys are not considered food in Col****ia, but can definitely serve for other, equally fundamental joys of life.

Brothers Julio Cesar and Carlos Andres are making good money on providing the ambiance and the donkeys for the "happily living" customers. Their business--providing snacks, beers and a number of willing donkeys--has been a lot more profitable than any other job they had so far. "Not because of the beers and snacks," the brothers admitted to newspaper La Libertad.

The donkeys' services cost in between 10,000 to 20,000 pesos depending on the time used and the toys used to make the donkey move in a more sensual way.

The animals do not only please the average man's needs. According to the brothers, among their best clients are the former mayor of Soledad, a former council member of Súan and a former congressman for the Conservative Party.

According to La Libertad, Col****ia's coastal area has several donkey brothels.

Rasmussen Reports, in a new poll published Friday, has some interesting data on how Republicans still have overwhelming positive feelings about Palin:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP's top names for their choice for the party's 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

This photograph taken Saturday Nov. 8, 2008 shows the house where Vincent

ST. JOHNS, Ariz. A man who police believe was shot and killed by his 8-year-old son had consulted a Roman Catholic priest about whether the boy should handle guns and had taught him how to use a rifle, the clergyman said Saturday.

The father, Vincent Romero, 29, was from a family of avid hunters and wanted to make sure the boy wasn't afraid of guns, said the Very Rev. John Paul Sauter of St. Johns Catholic Church. The boy's stepmother had suggested he have a BB gun, the priest said.

Romero taught his son how to use a rifle to kill prairie dogs, Sauter said. Police say the boy used a .22-caliber rifle Wednesday to kill his father and another man, Timothy Romans, 39, of San Carlos.

The priest did not say how he advised the couple but said Saturday that the boy "was just too young."

"That child, I don't think he knows what he did, and it was brutal," Sauter said.

The boy, who faces two counts of premeditated murder, did not act on the spur of the moment, St. Johns Police Chief Roy Melnick said. Police are looking into whether he might have been abused.

"I'm not accusing anybody of anything at this point," he said Saturday. "But we're certainly going to look at the abuse part of this. He's 8 years old. He just doesn't decide one day that he's going to shoot his father and shoot his father's friend for no reason. Something led up to this."

The boy's father and stepmother had gotten married in September, said Sauter, who presided over the wedding.

Romero had full custody of the child. The boy's mother had visited St. Johns from Mississippi the previous weekend and returned to Arizona after the shootings, said Apache County Attorney Brad Carlyon.

On Friday, a judge ordered a psychological evaluation of the boy. Under Arizona law, charges can be filed against anyone 8 or older.

The boy had no record of complaints with Arizona Child Protective Services, Carlyon said.

"He had no record of any kind, not even a disciplinary record at school," he said. "He has never been in trouble before."

In a sign of the emotional and legal complexities of the case, police are pushing to have the boy tried as an adult even as they investigate possible abuse, Melnick said. If convicted as a minor, the boy could be sent to juvenile detention until he turns 18.

"We're going to use every avenue of the law that's available to us, but we're also looking at the human side," he said.

The boy's lawyer, Benjamin Brewer, said his client is generally in good spirits.

"He's scared," he said. "He's trying to be tough, but he's scared."

Police are also investigating whether there were any domestic violence calls to the Romero home in the past, Melnick said.

Officers arrived at Romero's home within minutes of the shooting Wednesday in St. Johns, which has a population of about 4,000 and is 170 miles northeast of Phoenix. They found one victim just outside the front door and the other dead in an upstairs room.

Romans had been renting a room at the Romero house, prosecutors said. Both men were employees of a construction company working at a power plant near St. Johns.

The boy went to a neighbor's house and said he "believed that his father was dead," Carlyon said.

Melnick said police got a confession, but Brewer said police overreached in questioning the boy without representation from a parent or attorney and did not advise him of his rights.

FBI statistics show instances of children younger than 11 committing homicides are very rare. According to recent FBI supplementary homicide reports, there were at least three such cases each year in 2003, 2004 and 2005; there were at least 15 in 2002. More recent statistics weren't available, nor were details of the cases.

Turbulence_and_Sasha_edit_1.jpg
After shooting their new single "Don't Want To Be Alone" on the Breeze Riddim by Terminal 4 Media, Sasha and Turbulence have tongues wagging about the status of their relationship.

The video which has the pair hugging and kissing and asking questions, "Why did you leave..." and "...I want you right by my side" has the public wondering if these lyrics are based on true feelings. However, both Sasha and Turbulence deny any romantic connections. Sasha said that they are nothing more than good friends, while Turbulence says that they are friends who have great chemistry when they perform together. The on screen kiss was just acting, they both declared.

It is believed that after their public 2006 breakup the two were lyrically 'throwing words' at each other with Turbulence's "No Man No Perfect" and Sasha's "Got What You Need". Sasha, however, qualifies this, "I don't wanna say we were throwing words...we just expressed ourselves. It wasn't a war... I said my piece, he said his piece." She added, "I still love him as a person, he has a good heart and soul...but it's hard to go back."

New research from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) shows that the Internet and technology is already changing the development of the human mind. Gary Small, the director of the Memory & Aging Research Center at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior and the Center on Aging at UCLA (phew...), has found that activities such as text messaging and Internet searching improves a person's ability to filter information, perform complex reasoning, and make quick decisions.

Small warns, however, that these evolutionary advancements are coming at the expense of face-to-face social skills and he warns of the danger of Internet addiction. "The brain is very specialized in its circuitry, and if you repeat mental tasks over and over, it will strengthen certain neural circuits and ignore others," he says. He also told Reuters in an interview that those who are able to c****ine both the new technologically developed skills and traditional social abilities will be the most successful in years to come.

A British pilot who was suddenly blinded by a stroke during a solo flight was talked safely down by a military pilot, the Royal Air Force said Friday. Jim O'Neill asked for help after he was went blind 40 minutes into a flight from Scotland to southeastern England last week. The BBC reported that O'Neill, flying a small Cessna aircraft, lost his sight 5,500 feet in the air. "It was terrifying," O'Neill said. "Suddenly, I couldn't see the dials in front of me."

Here at Grant Park in Chicago, the stage for what Barack Obama hopes will be a victory speech on Tuesday night is being set up. On either side of the lectern is a large bullet proof glass screen protecting him from any shots fired by would-be assassins who might be positioned in skyscrapers overlooking the venue.

The bullet proof glass screens that will protect Barack Obama

One of the workers helping build the steel-reinforced stage said the two screens (which measure about 10 feet high and 15 feet long and are about two and a half inches thick) had been lowered into place by cranes at about 5pm today.

He described how Secret Service agents had taken up different positions on the stage where they had been lit up up ont heir chests with red dots apparently "fired" by other agents using laser guns and posing as snipers aiming from the windows of different skyscrapers. The existence of the screens was first reported by ABC radio news.

The screens would protect Mr Obama from most of the high-rise buildings surrounding the park with the line of sight from many other buildings being be blocked by the press stand and broadcast tents . This is the first time I have seen bullet proof screens being used to protect Mr Obama. Law enforcement officials with binoculars often scan tall buildings close to campaign rallies.

Mr Obama first received Secret Service protection in May 2007, a much earlier juncture than previous presidential candidates, after his Senate colleague Dick Durbin raised concerns about his safety. Last week, federal agents in Tennessee broke up what they described as a plot by two white supremacists to assassinate Mr Obama as party of a "killing spree" targeting black people.
Friends, school mourn death of Immaculate head girl
By PAUL HENRY Observer staff reporter editorial@jamaicaobserver.com

THE recent spate of attacks on school children was a concern which often saddened Pia Phillips, and drew her condemnation.

According to a close friend of the family, the outspoken Pia would often express her sorrow over instances of violence against, and the killing of young people.

"She would often say, 'Dem man yah crazy, man. You mean say young people can't enjoy themselves? When is it all going to end'," recalled the friend, who was in grief yesterday over the death of the Immaculate Conception High School head girl.

Little did Pia know that her death would be set in train by one of these "crazy" men she so often condemned.

Pia, the only girl and eldest of three children for her parents, was accidentally shot by her father on Saturday - the day she turned 18 - as he rushed to the aid of his family who were being held up by two hoodlums as they returned home from choir practice at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church.

According to the police, Pia was shot when her father, Paul Phillips, slipped and fell with his licensed firearm around 7:30pm.

Pia was with her mother, a cousin and her two brothers - 14 and 10-years-old - when the gunmen pulled up in a vehicle and demanded that they come to them.

The mother jumped a wall and told the children to hide as Pia ran towards the house screaming, which caused her father, who was in the kitchen preparing dinner for the family, to rush out, a source said. He, however, tripped on some steps.

Yesterday, a cloud of sadness hovered over the Immaculate Conception High School in St Andrew.

During a special gathering of staff and students at the institution, tears flowed freely as tributes where paid to Pia, a promising upper sixth former, with approximately eight subjects to her credit and who was an avid netballer and part of the institution's track and field team.

Students hugged each other and wept openly. Staff members, as well, could not keep a dry eye. A condolence book was also opened at the school.

School had to be dismissed early to accommodate counselling for students and staff members.

"The students are taking it hard and the staff is struggling also," said vice-principal Aba Polson.

Pia's classmate, Caithlin Williams, the grade captain for class 13C described her as a jovial person who took her faith in God seriously.

"She is a friend who would always be there for you," Williams said.

Klan members in Virginia show their support
CHICAGO - USA - White supremacists across America have been rejoicing at the news that Barack Hussein Obama is to be the next president of the United States of America.

The Obama campaign slogan of 'Time for Change' has never been so relevant as now. The people have spoken, thanks to George W Bush's disastrous tenure as chief monkey, even the white supremacists were with Obama.

"We, the KKK, voted for and funded Obama for a reason, it really is a time for change. We're throwing down our arms folks and instead of guns we want to extend a hand of friendship to every negro in the United States. We also want to say sorry for being such shits in the past and hope y'all can forgive us," Cletus Monroe told the Daily Squib.

The Daily Squib famously reported back in February 2008 that the Ku Klux Klan endorsed Obama.

"Who'se the massa now?"

Obama now presides over his subjects with the absolute power that has been interned upon his magisterial self by the people.

"It was a joy to see Klan faces amongst voters in Kentucky on Tuesday, all over the nation the queues were filled with blacks and whites making sure they voted for Obama. Our Klan office worked tirelessly in our efforts and we were even reminding people with texts on their cell phones to vote for our great leader," Mr Monroe added.

The new message of love and peace brought by the Ku Klux Klan also extends to all other nationalities in the USA. There have been messages of love extended to Mexicans and other people of colour as well as Chinese people.

How America has changed - It was only up until 1978 that black people had
to drink from different water fountains in public

Obama supporters last night, on hearing of his inevitable victory, thanked the Klan for "finally coming round" and "embracing humanity and Jesus."

Never before has such unity been seen in America. There is a distinct belief that Obama may even be the 'second coming' and the new messiah.

'No Mo' Cracker'

Barack Obama's address last night brought out much emotion in the assembled crowds and those watching on their screens:

"The whip that used to crack on the African slaves in the plantation fields of the South have truly been silenced. A new dawn and age of change has come across the land, everything else is Gone With the Wind. I want to thank all of those who supported my campaign, and especially the Ku Klux Klan. Thank you for endorsing me all the way and without your huge contribution we would have certainly lost. I would also like to thank the Daily Squib newspaper for their great coverage on the whole campaign as well as your wonderfully factual and accurate reportage which has frankly revolutionized journalism and all media. I want to also thank Michelle my wife and all our children as well as all the campaigners who worked tirelessly for many many hours. God is great."

The world is now about to enter a new dawn of collectivised ownership, a world of total globalisation and a commune for all.

President Bush Welcomes Obamas to the White House

November 6th, 2008

Obama

President Bush welcomes the Obamas to the White House. President Bush on Wednesday hailed the election of Barack Obama as the next U.S. president as a triumph of the American story and acknowledged the significance of Obamas rise to become the nations first Black president.  He said watching Obama walk through the doors of the White House will be a stirring sight but welcomed the first couple to visit prior to Obamas January inauguration.  Obamas election is a testament to hard work, optimism and a faith in the enduring promise of our nation, Bush said in a White House Rose Garden briefing on Wednesday. No matter how they cast their ballots, all Americans can be proud of the history that was made yesterday. Bushs second term in the Oval Office will end when Obama is sworn in on Jan. 20.

BERLIN, Germany (CNN) -- Standing before a massive crowd in a city that once symbolized division, Sen. Barack Obama warned Thursday about the dangers of allowing new walls to come between the United States and its allies.

Before traveling to Germany, Obama pays a visit early Thursday to the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

"People of the world, look at Berlin, where a wall came down, a continent came together, and history proved that there is no challenge too great for a world that stands as one," Obama said at Berlin's Victory Column in the Tiergarten park.

"The fall of the Berlin Wall brought new hope. But that very closeness has given rise to new dangers, dangers that cannot be contained within the borders of a country or by the distance of an ocean," he said.

Obama said that people of all nations must stand together to face challenges of the 21st century, from terrorism to global warming to genocide.

"We cannot afford to be divided. No one nation, no matter how large or powerful, can defeat such challenges alone. None of us can deny these threats or escape responsibility in meeting them," he said.

The greatest danger, Obama said, "is to allow new walls to divide us from one another." Read a transcript of the speech

"If we could win a battle of ideas against the communists, we can stand with the vast majority of Muslims who reject the extremism that leads to hate instead of hope," he said.

Obama started his speech by introducing himself as a "proud citizen of the United States and a fellow citizen of the world."

Police estimated that more than 200,000 people came to watch the speech, according to The Associated Press. VideoWatch the crowds wait for Obama »

Shortly before the address began, Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, chided Obama and said he'd rather give a speech in Germany as president than as a presidential candidate.

"So we're going to be campaigning across the heartland of America and talking about the issues that are challenging America today," McCain said outside a German restaurant in Columbus, Ohio.

In a statement issued after the speech, McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said, "Barack Obama offered eloquent praise for this country, but the contrast is clear."

"While Barack Obama took a premature victory lap today in the heart of Berlin, proclaiming himself a 'citizen of the world,' John McCain continued to make his case to the American citizens who will decide this election.

"John McCain has dedicated his life to serving, improving and protecting America. Barack Obama spent an afternoon talking about it," he said.

The Democrat said that his address was not a "political rally."

Crowds gathered at the Victory Column to listen to musical acts in the hours leading up to Obama's arrival.

Obama originally had hoped to speak in front of the iconic Brandenburg Gate, where President Kennedy was photographed during a 1963 visit after the rise of the Berlin Wall. Expressing solidarity with the people of the divided city during the same trip, Kennedy declared, "Ich bin ein Berliner."

That phrase, which means "I am a Berliner," expressed the unity of the West in the Cold War era.

The gate also was the site of a speech by President Reagan in 1987 in which he memorably urged Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to "tear down" the wall.

But use of the landmark apparently was vetoed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who a spokesman Wednesday said disapproved of plans to co-opt it as a "campaign backdrop."

Asked whether he looked to Reagan's and Kennedy's Berlin speeches for inspiration, Obama said, "They were presidents. I am a citizen."

"But obviously, Berlin is representative of the extraordinary success of post-World War II effort to bring a continent together, to bring the West together -- East and West together," he said.

Nonetheless, as a youthful Democratic presidential hopeful who has promised change if elected and invoked comparisons with Kennedy, Obama's strategists hope a warm welcome from Germans will play well with voters.

Obama is in Germany for the latest leg of an international trip intended to bolster his foreign policy credentials at home and set out his vision for a new era of transatlantic cooperation.

His trip has taken him to Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Israel and the Palestinian territories. Obama is expected to stop in France and Great Britain before returning to the United States.

Obama has said he is making the trip as a senator and not a presidential candidate.

Robin Oakley, CNN's European political editor, said Obama enjoyed widespread popularity in Europe.

"He is one of those politicians who reaches parts other politicians don't reach," Oakley said. "After the unpopularity of George W. Bush, the world is waiting to love America again, and many see in Obama, with his youth and his optimism, somebody who can bring that about."

With the highest weekly sales figure since 2005 The Massacre (50 CENT), Lil Wayne crashes in at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with "Tha Carter III." As reported yesterday, the Cash Money/Universal set moved 1,007,700 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the first time the six-figure threshold was crossed since 50 Cent's "The Massacre" in March 2005.

Sales for "Tha Carter III," Lil Wayne's first No. 1 on The Billboard 200, were helped along by several of the rapper's new singles, including the Hot 100-topping "Lollipop" featuring Static Major. His previous biggest sales week was a 238,000-unit start for "Tha Carter II" in 2005, which entered The Billboard 200 at No. 2 and became his fourth No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

No album in 2006 sold as many as 800,000 copies in a single frame, and the largest sales week since "The Massacre" belonged to Kanye West's "Graduation," which netted an opener of 957,000 copies last year when it hit stores on Sept. 11.

Plies' "Definition of Real" (Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide) sold 215,000 to debut at No. 2, the same position his 2007 album "The Real Testament" achieved. His current hit "Bust It Baby Part 2" featuring Ne-Yo is working its way up the Hot 100, sitting at No. 12 with a bullet this week.

The multi-label "Now 28" compilation slips a notch 2-3 with 132,000 copies, a 28% sales decrease. Distrubed's Warner Bros. set "Indestructible falls from No. 1 to No. 4 after a 60% hit to 102,000. With 101,000 units, Usher's "Here I Stand (LaFace/Z****a) endures a 30% slip and drops 3-5. Journey's Wal-mart exclusive album "Revelation" is down 5-6 on a 15% sales slide to 89,000.

With its first album in four years, hip-hop trio N.E.R.D.'s "Seeing Sounds" (Star Trak/Interscope) bows at No. 7 with 80,000. Alanis Morisette's "Flavors of Entanglement" (Warner Bros.) debuts No. 8 with 70,000; her 2004 album, "So-Called Chaos," peaked at No. 5.

My Morning Jacket's "Evil Urges" sold 49,000 copies to give the band its first top 10 album, debuting at No. 9. MMJ's previous chart high-water mark came with 2005's "Z," which topped out at No. 67. Rounding out the top tier, Weezer's third self-titled Geffen set falls 4-10 with 46,000 (-64%).

Other debuts this week include country mainstay Montgomery Gentry's "Back When I Knew It All" (Columbia, No. 20, 27,000), veteran singer Emmylou Harris' "All I Intended to Be" (Nonesuch, No. 22, 27,000), Wallflowers frontman Jakob Dylan's "Seeing Things" (Columbia/Starbucks, No. 24, 24,000), the soundtrack to Nickelodeon's "iCarly" (Sony, No. 28, 20,000) and DJ Skribble's mix "Total Club Hits" (Thrive/Red, No. 30, 20,000).

Album sales are up 22.8% from last week's sum at 9.29 million units, but are down 3.1% compared to the same week last year.

Satan Worship In Jamaica? Wtff

October 21, 2008
Started By warhawk33 Comments
Satan worship on the rise (October 8 - 14)

Religious leaders believe that the work of Satanist covens and demonic churches that dabble in the occult may be one of the reasons for the surge in mutilations, and the increasingly brutal nature of crime in Jamaica.
Some religious leaders in Clarendon noted with alarm a deepening interest in dark arts by some fringe groups in that parish, perhaps because of the influx of Haitians who come here illegally. The practice of drinking *lo** as part of a macabre ritual where human beings can acquire magical powers has been noted by some members of the clergy there.

Satanism has a tendency for growing, and this tendency is a very threatening oneSatanism is closely connected with peoples lifestyles and with the erosion of our moral system in Jamaica, we are all at risk. People who are members of lodges and freemasonry societies which are Luciferan organizations put people around them at risk, one preacher said.
The Bible says we are not to be ignorant of the devil and his devices. There is a dark side but many Christians dont want to talk about how it functions in the spiritual realmhow it will undermine the Godly foundations of a family and of society. The devil is on the prowl, seeking souls to devour.

Reverend Norman King of the Church of the Open Bible in Clarendon believes demonic forces are at work in Jamaica but insists that we must also look to civil government to implement changes in the society. He said that it is a bit of a cop-out to look for solutions in the spiritual realm only.
We have seen demonic forces at work literally and it is not an easy thing to grapple with. However, I believe that civil government has to send a strong message to the people that savagery will not be tolerated. Yes, the church must pray for the authorities but the government must do the work. The problems we have are a function of leadership or the lack thereof, he said, pointing to the biblical scripture, Exodus 32.

There are demonic churches in Jamaica, but if we want to talk about demons, you go to Haiti. We have to send a message to criminals that they cannot get away with murder. The media need to show the consequences for men who disobey the law, when they are sentenced and punished, it should be broadcast strongly.
The media have reported that there is a striving Church of Satan in Kingston which is now spreading its tentacles all over the island as its acolytes branch off to start their own congregations. The church of Satan does not have a prescribed meeting place but more than 10 years ago there was a church in Stony Hill and a number of other parishes. The church became official in the 1960s when one branch was established. Its practices often involved ceremonies with sex and sacrifice to tap dark primal forces. Most Satanists reject moral codes, saying an individual must determine what is good or bad. Modern forms of Satanism draw on a host of traditions, from ancient Egyptian mythology to Celtic cults and Haitian Voodoo.

Lending credence to the idea that spiritual warfare is on the rise are several cases of demonic possession reported by the media at schools all over Jamaica as more people dabble in the occult.
I was called to a house the other day where there was a demon possession and I found a statue of the devil in the girls bedroom. She lived on her own, and perhaps had been practicing some sort of witchcraft; her parents were very surprised. We live in dangerous times, they found a half a man at the wharf the other day, a young boy was savagely mutilated and butchered like an animal sacrifice, and another young girl was beheaded. These are not normal crimes. People gain power in Satanic churches by making human sacrifices, one preacher noted.

There have been no cases of human sacrifice or ritual killings recorded in Jamaica, but religious leaders are ruling nothing out especially in light of the high rate of missing persons, and kidnappings that happen in Jamaica.

THE STATISTICS
According to statistics from the Missing Persons Intelligence Coordinating Desk at the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), of the 1,102 persons who went missing up to October 2007, 707 were children. Of the total persons who went missing in 2007, 894 returned home, while 208 are still unaccounted for.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Derrick Cochrane, director of the NIB, said 659 of the children are aged 11-19. This group, he said, represents the largest number which goes missing each year.

Of the 1,662 persons who went missing in 2006, more than 1,100 returned home.
The recent case where that young man was killed and his flesh sliced from the body shows that the carvings were carried out by an expert using extremely sharp knives specially prepared for the purpose. Some cults also believe the amputated body parts are powerful magical trophies. The final test to be accepted to a coven is to kill someone and Jamaica is a great place to commit murder without being caught, Ronald Anderson* (not real name), a former Christian who has first-hand knowledge of the occult, said.

Some cult members drink *lo** as part of a vampire subculture, because they have very strong sexual sadistic tendencies and are sexually aroused by physical torture and violence.
They believe in all sorts of nonsense like body tattoos can block bullets and such, another said.
Mental illness can also play a role in the macabre nature of killings that take place in Jamaica. Two years ago, Christopher Oliver, a 26-year-old man in Spanish Town, murdered his mother and his two younger brothers with a sledgehammer. Investigations revealed that a sheet and incense candles were found in his room along with literature about the occult.

Last year, 19-year-old Shelly-Ann Williamson lost her two-month-old daughter to another child who allegedly bit the child all over her body. The bizarre details of the case captivated the imagination of thousands of Jamaicans and sparked talk of demon possession and vampires. All the talk of biting, and *lo**, and the childs odd behaviour all point to the occult or the supernatural, residents said.
Reverend Roger Kirby of the Calvary Missionary Church in St. Thomas also believes that demonic forces are out there.

We have allowed ourselves to be far from God and nearer to Satan, and so the wickedness that lies in the heart of people is merely a symptom of how ungodly our society has become. Stores are now open on a Sunday, dances playing terrible music are held on a Sunday. We have strayed far from God as a society, Reverend Kirby said.

He also pointed to the sexualisation of our children by allowing them to wear age inappropriate clothes and sporting adult hairstyles as problems that leave the door open for sexual predators.
Parents have made their children into adults and must shoulder some of the blame for their exploitation at the hands of sick men, he said.

Nigerian-born Bishop Joseph Ade-Gold, founder of Overcomers Christian International, has also confirmed in past interviews that the occult is alive and well in Jamaica. He is more widely known for his deliverance from occult worship to Christianity in his early twenties.
Youd be surprised just what your friendly neighbours may be getting up to after hours.

Some decent, lovely people in our midst are even in bondage to incubus and succubus spirits - demons which sexually molest, and rape them in the privacy of their homes and bedrooms; the incubus-demonic spirit taking the form of a male that sexually hara**es females. The succubus-demonic spirit takes the form of a female that sexually hara**es males, Dr. Donald Stewart of the Portmore Covenant Community Church said sometime ago in an interview.

Captain Fantastic - formerly George Garratt - changed his name by deed pool 'for a bit of a laugh' through the Legal Deed Poll Service which charged £10 for the legally-certified deed poll.

Captain Fantastic, a 19-year-old music student from Glastonbury, Somerset, said his name beat the Guinness Book of Records' longest personal name registered on a birth certificate by 24 letters.

However, he looks likely to have been beaten out by Autumn Sullivan Corbett Fitzsimmons Jeffries Hart Burns Johnson Willard Dempsey Tunney Schmeling Sharkey Carnera Baer Braddock Louis Charles Walcott Marciano Patterson Johansson Liston Clay Frazier Foreman Brown, a 1-year-old from Wolverhampton, whose parents sensibly decided to giver her 25 middle names.

Spanish Town

A man caught with several pirated DVDs of animals having sex with females, which he sold to children, was fined $1.3 million in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court.

Investigating officer, Detective Corporal Kirk Roache, told the court on November 4, Richard Johnson, 18, labourer of Chambers Lane, Spanish Town, St Catherine, was caught selling the DVDs to several children in uniform.

He said when checks were made, the 13 DVDs, depicting various animals, including dogs and horses, having sex with females, was being shown to the students. Johnson was charged with breaching the Copyright Act.

Johnson pleaded guilty but tried to hide his age. "I am 17-year-old, Your Honour," he told the RM.

But checks revealed that Johnson turned 18 in September. Having heard that, the RM imposed a fine of $100,000 on each DVD and remanded Johnson until Friday to study the Copyright Act further.

The court also learnt that several persons charged with breaches of the Copyright Act have been saying they are juveniles to attract a lesser fine.

Remember (Nov 2 Vybz Kartel Bike Show) ( Adm : $500 ) (portmore Empire And Mobay Empire)

Bye Until  (Oct 28)...........
Although Portmore-based deejay Deva Brat was granted bail last week, he has not been spotted in any of his usual haunts since his announced release. One thing is certain that when Deva Brat emerges from prison, the entertainment landscape will be vastly changed from the state it was in before his unfortunate incarceration. Before he was imprisoned, deejay Spice and Beenie Man were still at odds, Beenie Man and D'Angel were still estranged, and Vybz Kartel had not yet announced the arrival of Daggering Condoms, and oh yeah, Munga was still a dominant force on the charts. There has still not been a Deva sighting as yet but we have since got a release from Deva's management team that claims that Deva Brat is the one who created the Portmore Empire.

portmore_empire.jpgIn a release issued on the website, prgirl.com, Deva Brat is reported as stating that "he created Portmore Empire when Kartel was an Alliance member."

The website further explains: "At that time Deva Bratt was in a feud with Aidonia, Munga and Busy. He goes on to say that subsequently, Kartel was thrown out of the Alliance by Bounty Killer. Kartel realized that Deva Bratt had the perfect name, and perfect idea. Deva stated that Kartel took it and licensed it in his name, without Deva Bratt being named as the founder of Portmore Empire. Next, Kartel tried to sign Deva Bratt as an artist, to the newly-licensed, Portmore Empire, but Deva Bratt refused. He states this was because, instead of Kartel licensing Portmore Empire with him as a business partner, he simply wanted to sign him as an artist, and have full ownership of the Portmore Empire name. Deva Bratt says he never made this an issue because he was content that he was making music and doing what he loved."

Throughout his incarceration there have been rumors of turmoil within Portmore Empire, however Deva Bratt has remained neutral about the rumors. He says the reason "insiders" would say he is not a part of the Empire is because, some don't respect the fact that he is someone who leads and will not succumb to the trends and hype of others around him. An example would be Alliance vs Portmore Empire. Even when Kartel and Mavado were at war, Deva Bratt continued to hail Mavado, Bounty and other Alliance members. In closing, he states "Deva Bratt built Portmore Empire, Portmore Empire never built Deva Bratt".

In the interim, sources within the Empire said that only artistes signed to Adidjaheim Records were considered members of the Portmore Empire, namely 'Doza Medicine, Blak Ryno, Shawn Storm, CP Inc., Lisa Hype, Earthworm and Jah Vinchi". Checks revealed that the Portmore Empire name and logo has already been registered for use with the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO) under the name of one Adidjah Palmer.

"Deva is a yute weh mi know most of my life and you have to understand him fi deal wid him, Deva just move different. What he is being accused of is a serious crime and he needs to resolve it because it is damaging to what we're building here. Deva is not signed to the Empire so he is not an official member, ah just so the ting set. I wish him all the luck with whatever he is doing," one insider told One876Entertainment.com.

According to the NYDailyNews:

A Brooklyn-raised Marine sergeant and his new bride were tortured and killed execution-style in their California home - allegedly by four other Marines under his command.

Sgt. Jan Pawel Pietrzak, who was raised in Bensonhurst, and his wife, Quiana, were found bound and gagged in the ransacked house, each shot in the head.

Pietrzak was the suspects' sergeant at Camp Pendleton, Quiana's mother said Wednesday.

"They're monsters," Faye Jenkins told the Daily News. "They're monsters."

Pietrzak's mother, Henryka Pietrzak-Varga, said she had prepared herself "for the possibility that my son could die in Iraq."

"But to die like this, in their own home?" she told The News. "They were good kids. They didn't deserve to die like this."

Investigators said the motive for murder was "financial gain." Neither mother believes that.

"When I found out what they did to them, it was like they killed me, too," Pietrzak-Varga said.

A spokesman for the Riverside County district attorney's office would not comment on reports that Pietrzak was killed by his own men.

Detectives also did not divulge what the accused Marines were looking for, but the suspects were tied to the crime by items found in their homes and on the military base.

Born in Poland, Pietrzak was 10 when he moved to the U.S. and enlisted after the 9/11 attacks. He was named Jan Pawel, which means John Paul, after the Polish pontiff.

A mechanic who worked on helicopters, Pietrzak, 24, met his wife three years ago at a party for Marines being deployed to Iraq.

Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak, 26, who worked for the county's Black Infant Care Center, was reluctant to date a Marine. But Pietrzak wooed her, and they were married in August.

"They were in love," her mother-in-law said. "It didn't matter to them that they had different skin colors."

The bride wore her favorite white Converse sneakers, and she was still in the process of writing thank-you cards when she was killed.

"She was our only child and my best friend," Faye Jenkins said. "He was like my son. He was so proud to be a Marine. But when he was off the base, he was my son."

The Pietrzaks were not rich and purchased their five-bedroom home in May through a foreclosure, said Waldemar Piasecki, a New York-based Polish journalist and family friend. He used his reenlistment bonus to replace the hardwood floor and carpet.

"They were hardworking young people," Piasecki said.

On Oct. 15, deputies were dispatched to the Pietrzak home in Winchester, an exurb of San Diego, when the Marine did not show up for work.

When they arrived, the deputies found the Pietrzaks in the living room and evidence that the robbers had tried to cover their tracks by torching the house.

Charged with murder and other crimes are Pvt. Embrys John, 18, of Maryland; Lance Cpl. Tyrone Miller, 20, of North Carolina; Pvt. Kevin Darnell Cox, 20, of Tennessee, and Pvt. Kesuan Sykes, 21, of California.

Lawyers for the men could not be reached for comment.

Pietrzak's mother said she can't understand how Marines could have committed such a crime.

"Don't the Marines screen out people like this?" she said. "Didn't they know they had murderers under their roof?"

Auto Makers Want $25 Billion No-Strings Attached Loans To Avoid Up To A Million Layoffs

Auto Makers Want $25 Billion No-Strings Attached Loans To Avoid Up To A Million Layoffs

Thursday November 6, 2008

It has been that way as long as anyone can remember - the North American economy tied irrevocably to the auto sector. There used to be an old expression 'What's good for General Motors is good for the USA.'

Not anymore.

With auto sales down to their worst levels in a quarter of a century, even the biggest of the big are wondering how long they can weather the financial storm.

Consider the numbers. GM has seen sales slump 45 per cent over last year. Chrysler is down 35 per cent. Ford watched its sales charts dive by 30 per cent. And not even the Japanese giants, which had been outstripping the North American firms, are safe. Toyota has lost 23 per cent of it buyers since 2007.

Hard times have led people to hang on to their cars much longer. And even drastic discounts and incentives haven't tempted them back to the showrooms.

All of which has led to the once unthinkable sight of the Big 3 coming to the U.S. government with hat in hand and an equally large demand: give us $25 billion in loans with no strings attached, or watch the key engine of the economy stall, possibly for good.

The feds down south have already promised $25 billion in technology loans, but they've been held up by red tape. And now the major manufacturers want even more.

The Big 3 are counting on president-elect Barack Obama to come through with the cash to save them, after he gave indications he was sympathetic to their plight during his campaign.

And if he doesn't?

The results are already starting to become apparent.

GM and Chrysler are both talking merger. And talk about Hobson's choice. It's estimated a joining between the two could cost 24,000-35,000 jobs, close half of the latter company's 14 manufacturing plants and shed another 50,000 jobs amongst suppliers.

And that's the best case scenario, because if Chrysler goes out of business, up to a million positions could disappear.

"It's not just the three auto companies, it's suppliers, all the way down the chain," worries John Engler of the National Association of Manufacturers.

Ontario has already been hit hard by the problem. Our new status as a 'have-not' province has been revved up, primarily by the hit to the auto sector. And things aren't looking good.

The Center for Automotive Research is predicting about 2.5 million jobs across the economy would vanish in the first year if the U.S. auto industry shrinks by 50 per cent.

So for now, they're pinning their hopes on that big loan and on the next president of the U.S. to keep the brakes from slamming on a suddenly impoverished industry.

But Obama won't be in power until 2009. And there are a lot of roadblocks on the way before then. "He's not here until January (20th) and that's a long time in the life of these companies at the moment," Engler concludes.

And if you believe those in the boardrooms, that life is hanging in the balance.

FBI: Airline passenger restrained with duct tape
By MARLON A. WALKER, Associated Press Writer Marlon A. Walker, Associated Press Writer Wed Nov 5, 7:32 pm ET
RALEIGH, N.C. An airline crew used duct tape to keep a passenger in her seat because they say she became unruly, fighting flight attendants and grabbing other passengers, forcing the flight to land in North Carolina.

Maria Esther Castillo of Oswego, N.Y., is due in court Thursday, charged with resisting arrest and interfering with the operations of a flight crew aboard United Airlines Flight 645, from Puerto Rico to Chicago.

Castillo, 45, struck a flight attendant on the buttocks with the back of her hand during Saturday's flight, FBI Special Agent Peter Carricato said in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Charlotte. She also stood and fell onto the head of a blind passenger and later started pulling the person's hair, the complaint stated.

Ankle cuffs kept slipping off Castillo, so the flight crew and two passengers were forced to use duct tape to keep her in her seat, the complaint states.

She calmed as the pilot diverted the flight to Charlotte-Douglass International Airport, but became disruptive again when authorities boarded the plane to remove her, authorities said.

Carricato states that a passenger saw Castillo having drinks in an airport bar before boarding. She bought another drink on the plane. Flight attendants stopped serving her alcohol because of her behavior, the complaint states.

United spokesman Jeff Kovick said Wednesday that safety is the company's top priority and that it's cooperating with authorities.

FBI spokeswoman Amy Thoreson on Wednesday declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.

A message left seeking comment wasn't immediately returned by Castillo's attorney, Julia Mimms.

Ann Nixon Cooper, 106, listens to a reporter's question during interview Atlanta AP  Ann Nixon Cooper, 106, listens to a reporter's question during interview Atlanta home, Wednesday, Nov.

ATLANTA At age 106, Ann Nixon Cooper doesn't usually stay awake past midnight. But on Election Night she had special reason to do so: She was waiting for Barack Obama to mention her name. Cooper, one of the oldest voters for the nation's first black president, had been tipped off by the Obama campaign that she would be mentioned in his acceptance speech. Toward the end, she got her moment.

"I was waiting for it," said Cooper. "I had heard that they would be calling my name at least."

Obama introduced the world to a woman who "was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky; when someone like her couldn't vote for two reasons because she was a woman and because of the color of her skin."

"Tonight, I think about all that she's seen throughout her century in America the heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times we were told that we can't, and the people who pressed on with that American creed: Yes we can," he said.

On Wednesday, Cooper beamed as she greeted reporters at her southwest Atlanta home, wearing a gold cross around her neck that proudly displayed her age.

Cooper first registered to vote on Sept. 1, 1941. Though she was friends with elite black Atlantans like W.E.B. Du Bois, John Hope Franklin and Benjamin E. Mays, because of her status as a black woman in a segregated and sexist society, she didn't exercise her right to vote for years.

Instead, she deferred to her husband Dr. Albert B. Cooper, a prominent Atlanta dentist who "voted for the house."

Her husband died in 1967. Cooper has outlived three of her four children and lived to see women gain the right to vote and the end of segregation. On Oct. 16, she voted early for the Illinois senator, who called to thank her after reading a news article about her.

Cooper said she believes Obama's win could finally signal the change she has been waiting for.

"I feel nothing but relief that things have changed as much as they have," she said. "After a while, we will all be one. That's what I look forward to."

Cooper turns 107 in January, just a few weeks before Obama's inauguration.

The designer pictured wearing the shirt. Photo by Fashion Indie

This story just goes to show how ignorant some people are...
According to LiveSteez.com :

A 25-year-old New York City graduate student is threatening to sue a T-Shirt designer after being assaulted for wearing one of his designs.

The woman bought a $69 shirt from Apollo Braun's Manhattan boutique that bore the words, "Obama is my slave." When she wore the shirt on Tuesday, four teenage girls accosted her - shoving her, pulling out her earphones, and spitting in her face, according to the New York edition of Metro News.

The unnamed woman is reportedly seeking solace by suing Braun - born Doron Braunshtein - for "all he's got," the designer claims. He, of course, is shirking any responsibility for the incident and says that the shirt reflects the views of "ordinary WASPs."

For a lot of people, when they see Obama, they see a slave. People think America is not ready for a black president, the Israeli-born designer said.

I cant stand Obama, Braun says, but claims that it's not because the candidate is black. Thats the only thing I like about him. He opens the door for other minorities.

He reminds me of Adolf Hitler, Braun explained, adding he does not like the Illinois senator because he is a Muslim a myth that Obama apparently cannot escape.

The designer has sold several other anti-Obama styles from his boutique, including shirts with slogans such as Jews Against Obama, Obama = Hitler and Who Killed Obama?

YESSS WEE CANNN
Police in Jamaica are investigating the suspected theft of hundreds of tons of sand from a beach on the island's north coast.

It was discovered in July that 500 truck-loads had been removed outside a planned resort at Coral Spring beach.

Detectives say people in the tourism sector could be suspects, because a good beach is seen as a valuable asset to hotels on the Caribbean island.

But a lack of arrests made since July have led to criticism of the police.

The beach at Coral Springs, in Jamaica's northern parish of Trelawny, was 400 metres (1,300ft) of white sand. The 0.5-hectare strand was to form part a resort complex costing US$108m, but the theft of its most important feature has led to its developers putting their plans on hold.

Illegal sand mining is a problem in Jamaica; the tradition of people building their own homes here means there is a huge demand for the construction material. However, the large volume and the type of sand taken made suspicion point towards the hotel industry.

There is some suspicion that some police were in collusion with the movers of the sand.

The disappearance was deemed so important that the Prime Minister, Bruce Golding, also took an interest in the theft and ordered a report into how 500 truckloads of sand was stolen, transported and presumably sold.

Three months on, and with no arrests or charges in the case, the main opposition People's National Party have suggested that some people now think there has been a cover up.

But the deputy commissioner for crime at the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Mark Shields, insisted this was not an open-and-shut case.

"It's a very complex investigation because it involves so many aspects," he told the BBC.

"You've got the receivers of the stolen sand, or what we believe to be the sand. The trucks themselves, the organisers and, of course, there is some suspicion that some police were in collusion with the movers of the sand."

Police said they were carrying out forensic tests on beaches along the coast to see if any of it matches the stolen sand.
A man has launched a campaign in Japan to legally allow comic book-loving humans to marry their favourite fictitious characters.
More than 1,000 people have signed Taichi Takashita's on-line petition to establish a law permitting marriage to comic characters, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Takashita says he feels more at ease in the "two-dimensional world."

He said: "I am no longer interested in three dimensions. I would even like to become a resident of the two-dimensional world.

"However, that seems impossible with present-day technology. Therefore, at the very least, would it be possible to legally authorise marriage with a two-dimensional character?"
Comic books known as "manga", animated "anime" films and on-line virtual reality games have become increasingly popular in Japan, with fictitious characters frequently elevated to celebrity status.

Among the most high profile of manga fans is the current prime minister Taro Aso.

He recently complained he had not had time to read any comic books since taking office last month.

Takashita's petition was launched only days after a woman was jailed in Japan after "killing" her virtual husband after he suddenly divorced her as part of a popular interactive internet game.

One person who supported the petition, wrote: "For a long time I have only been able to fall in love with two-dimensional people and currently I have someone I really love.

"Even if she is fictional, it is still loving someone. I would like to have legal approval for this system at any cost."

A vicar claims a potato got stuck up his bottom after he fell on to the vegetable while hanging curtains in the nude. The clergyman, in his 50s, told medical staff at Sheffield's Northern General Hospital that the accident was definitely not due to a sex game. He had to undergo surgery to extract the spud from his backside, according to The Sun. A&E nurse Trudi Watson told the paper: "He explained to me, quite sincerely, he had been hanging curtains naked in he kitchen when he fell backwards on to the kitchen table and on to a potato. "But it's not for me to question his story." She went on to reveal other objects removed from people's derriére, including a cucumber, a Russian doll and a carnation.
A piece of space station trash the size of a refrigerator is poised to plunge through the Earth's atmosphere late Sunday, more than a year after an astronaut tossed it overboard.

NASA and the U.S. Space Surveillance Network are tracking the object - a 1,400-pound tank of toxic ammonia coolant thrown from the International Space Station - to make sure it does not endanger people on Earth. Exactly where the tank will inevitably fall is currently unknown, though it is expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere Sunday afternoon or later that evening, NASA officials said.
