He blamed the degrading music offered by some of the current crop of dancehall artistes for the moral decay in Jamaica's society, and was quoted in the report saying "we are very concerned about what I call the G culture' in schools - the gully, Gaza, the gun, ganja, and the graffiti. This is the worst disease that has come into the school system in my 37 years of teaching. I think that the artistes are creating a negative impact and everyday I have to walk the school compound to check because of the impact of this on the system. It creates a challenge," ... more here.
His statements come just days after news broke about about vendors being removed from the vicinity of schools in the Duhaney Park area of Kingston, because they were selling badges and paraphernalia depicting violent images that are specific to the ongoing feud between dancehall artistes Mavado (Gully) and Vybz Kartel (Gaza).

Remaking a rhythm or duplicating it does not necessarily mean that a rhythm was not good enough but it might be a testament that the first was exceptional.
There have been some memorable dancehall rhythms over the past two decades, and recently, there have been remakes of these older rhythms on the airwaves.
One of the most popular and recent rhythms to grace the dancehall is Unfinished Business by TJ Records, which features several songs like Serani's No Games, Mavado's So Special and Assassin's Jah Guide And Protect Me.
Unfinished Business is actually a remake of producer, Dave Kelly's popular 1998 Showtime rhythm. TJ Records also did another variation of the Showtime called Show-off last year which featured Bounty Killer's Bullet Proof Skin and Beenie Man's Bullet Proof.
This is no surprise because Dave Kelly provides musical inspiration for owner and producer of TJ Records, Linton 'TJ' White.
Prolific producer
In a story published in the THE WEEKEND STAR titled 'TJ's Unfinished Business', TJ said, "From I was growing up, I've been listening to Showtime riddim, his music. Mi learn a lot from him. He's the only producer where you can listen to like five or six songs on a riddim."
TJ is not the only producer to use parts of Dave Kelly's rhythms. Popular producer Stephen McGregor made the Bees Hive rhythm off Kelly's Stink rhythm.
"I was trying to get dat same type of vibes. I didn't duplicate it. I just used most of the same type of sounds like the ones he used in the original one, like most of the stops and phrases in the rhythm," McGregor told THE STAR.
Although he has redone parts of the rhythm, he said he had no problems if another producer should remake one of his rhythms.
"Dem doing it already, and you can't feel any way 'bout it. People in the industry and people listening will know them but I don't want to identify anybody," he said.
Rum*lo** of Ward 21 said he had no problems redoing Shocking Vibes' 1994 Corduroy rhythm for his own Tear-up Jeans rhythm, which features artistes like Bugle, Serani, Konshens and Elephant Man.
all remakes
"It was the original bad man rhythm back in the days and it used to run di place wicked. Everything you hear now is from things you used to hear back in the days," he said while noting that in the next five or 10 years, other people will be remaking current rhythms.
While some producers are using elements from other people's rhythms, Producer Cordell 'Scatta' Burrell remade his popular 2001 Martial Arts rhythm and called it Self Defence, which was released earlier this year.
"Martial Arts was one of my favourites from the get go, so I thought it was only fair to remix it. I wanted to do something to remind me of how hot I was as a producer," said Scatta who has produced other rhythms like Coolie Dance, Chiney Gal, Famine, Dancehall Rock and Double Jeopardy.
He added, "I want to go out and make some more hits. I want to get as much success as I got off the Coolie Dance rhythm."
[Chris And Rihanna] had a tearful face-to-face meeting at Diddy's $14.5 million Miami mansion, during which an emotional Chris apologized, begged for forgiveness and proposed to her on the spot.
"All she's ever wanted was to be with him forever," a source tells Star. "Rihanna is looking for the husband-and-two-kids deal before she turns 25. She believes in fairy tales, and she wants to live hers with Chris. She was totally up front and confessed to him, 'I can't live without you.'"
The pair wasted no time making Rihanna's fairy tale come true. They even called a minister to the mansion on exclusive Star Island!

ACKSONVILLE, FL-- Just about anywhere you go, you will see them. They are sometimes dangling from a shoulder. Others are carried by hand and yes, they can be spotted in some questionable places.
"Now that I think of it, I do take it everywhere. I place it in places where maybe I shouldn't," says Henny Stewart. From that dirty bathroom floor to the floor at work and even the car.
You may not be able to see anything lurking on it, but we wanted to know if that purse is carrying something else besides a wallet.
We targeted four handbags at First Coast News. "I would be surprised if there is anything on it," says Sandy McCaffrey.
A lab tech from Baptist Hospital was with us to swab the outside, inside, the handles and the bottom of the bags.
We then took our cameras and a handful of swabs to a downtown law firm. "I wish ya'll would have told me ahead of time. Maybe I could have sprayed it or something," says Evie Jackson.
There we found four other handbags. Some were old and some were new. "Ya'll might find some stuff...7 years worth," says Jackson.
Again we swabbed the outside and the inside. "It's probably an eight on a scale of one to ten," says Erin Slappey.
Once all the swabs were taken, our lab tech, Qianna Williams-Swain, dropped them off at the microbiology lab at Baptist Hospital.
Every single swab had two plates looking for staph and ecoli strains. Once the process of getting the stuff from the swab to the plates was done, it was time to incubate.
We left the plates for a couple of days, giving plenty of time for any bacteria to grow. And grow it did. While the bad news is the plates had bacteria growing on them, the good news is it's not all bad bacteria.
Some of it was bacteria from dirt. "I guess that comes from putting my purse on the floor," says Stewart.
Most of the results are the same. There was some staph, but it's not dangerous.
It's all normal stuff from the environment and our bodies. "I am a little shocked they didn't find anything."
The findings also showed that leather purses didn't grow as much bacteria as cloth purses.
"Maybe I'll wash it in the washing machine," says Amanda Starling, whose cloth purse came back with the worst results.
The women who took part in the test say one thing is for sure. "I will be more conscientious of where I lay the purse down."
What's Breast Ironing?
A nationwide campaign is under way in Cameroon to discourage the widespread practice of "breast ironing".
This involves pounding and massaging the developing breasts of young girls with hot objects to try to make them disappear.
Statistics show that 26% of Cameroonian girls at puberty undergo it, as many mothers believe it protects their daughters from the sexual advances of boys and men who think children are ripe for sex once their breasts begin to grow.
The most widely used instrument to flatten the breasts is a wooden pestle, used for pounding tubers in the kitchen. Heated bananas and coconut shells are also used.
Student Geraldin Sirri recounted her painful experience.
"My mother took a pestle, she warmed it well in the fire and then she used it to pound my breasts while I was lying down. She took the back of a coconut, warmed it in the fire and used it to iron the breasts.
"I was crying and trembling to escape but there was no way."
Another woman from Mamfe in south-west Cameroon told me she ironed her own breasts as a girl so that she would not be forced into early marriage as is the practice in her village.
"I wanted to go to school like other girls who had no breasts," Emilia said.
'No regrets'
Many mothers have no regrets about ironing their daughter's breasts.
"Breast ironing is not a new thing. I am happy I protected my daughter. I could not stand the thought of boys spoiling her with sex before she completed school," one woman explained.
"Unfortunately, television is encouraging all sorts of sexual immorality in our children."
Anthropologist Dr Flavien Ndonko says that breast ironing is not an effective method of preventing early sex and pregnancies because many of the girls still become pregnant. He recommends plain talking between parents and their daughters.
"What you have to really do is talk about the issue of sexual reproductive health with the child. So that she is aware about what it means growing up and having breasts or having periods," he says.
With the help of sponsors, a group of teenage girls called the Association of Aunties has produced a television campaign to expose the problems of breast ironing.
"Massaging the breasts of young girls is very dangerous. This is harmful to health... Do not force them to disappear or appear - allow them to grow naturally," one of the adverts says.
Prison
So far, no research has taken place on the medical effects of breast ironing.
However, Prof Anderson Doh, a cancer surgeon and director of the state-owned GynaecologicalHospital in Cameroon's capital, Yaounde, says the practice is dangerous.
"There are structures in the breast made of connective tissue. Now if you over iron the breast, if you use very hot objects, if you pound on the breast at this tender age when the structures are developing of course you could also cause damage," he says.
The victims do have protection under the law, as long as the matter is reported within a few months, lawyer Buba Ndefiembu says.
If a medical doctor determines that damage has been caused to the breasts, then the person responsible can go to jail for up to three years.
This does not always deter mothers who see their daughters hitting puberty earlier and earlier thanks to better living standards.
But the Association of Aunties hopes their campaign will start to change attitudes and spare other girls future physical and emotional pain."Bounty is a gal clown, him nah mine him youth dem" - Bounty Babymamas Hit Out |
Two irate 'celebrity babymothers' called one876 yesterday to complain about a quote in the article earlier this week which suggested that Bounty Killer took care of all of his kids. "That is a lie. Ah muss one of his groupies tell you that!" she said angrily. "He has a ten year old in Miami, the one who can sing, him never mind that one for 10 years. And he ignores my son who is very bright, he has not paid the school fee or bought any books for him. When I call him, he doesn't answer his phone and he knows that it is back to school time. I need to buy his books and everything is about to become overdue.". "I don't like calling his phone anyways because he wants to talk to people anyway and I can't deal with that. The only reason that you don't hear more disgrace with Killer name is because the babymothers are trying women. Ah nuff pickney him have all inna the country that him no mind. He's been taken to family court in the US and just recently started taking care of his son after ten years of no support. He sent two of his groupies to UWI, dem lef him for other men, and now, him ah mad over a new girl, this girl is the same one who the Rising Stars yute de wid behind him back. She is screwing around on him. The worst thing is he got evidence that the girl took his money to rent the room for another artiste to sex her, yet he's still paying her bills while ignoring that of his children. He is a real gal clown." Another babymother claimed that she knew of one of Bounty's daughters who lived in Seaview Gardens and who he ignored and did not help support until she was ten years old. "Him have two kids that live with him, one who used to live in Miami who the granny used to take care of, but now he has her and another one. I know the mother who took him to Family Court in the US to get US$1,000 per month from him and she was forced to because she have the same problem like we; now he is sending that one to university; yu have to fight with him to get anything from him. When we call him, him call we 'whore, b!$%h and johncrow' and we caan tek dem tings de. The problem is that the money get slow up, and the expenses high. He lives at the Hilton, and he parties a lot, plus he is sending at least two of his groupie girls to school, one ah go Utech, and yet him nah tek care of his own kids. Shame on you Bounty," she said in total exasperation. "Shame!" |
In a climate where album sales have been culled dramatically in the space of a few short years, everybody has felt the brunt of the decline. Sean Paul came off the back of 4 million sold and did 28k first week. Sony rolled out 225,000 units first week for Sean Kingston on the strength of a huge Billboard hit and he shifted less than 15,000. Vybz Kartel, one of Jamaica's hottest DJs, did 8 units total first week.
"Its a grind for everybody but for a Dancehall act trying to go mainstream there's an added fight," added Jones-Griffith. "Radio is a problem but its compounded at retail where its almost impossible to get product in stores. We bought ourselves out of the Universal Republic deal about 2 months ago and did a straight distribution deal with Razor & Tie, who went through Sony. Sony of course just got burnt from the 200,000 Sean Kingston returned CDs so we ended up getting calls from all over our strong markets that the CD just wasnt in stores for people to buy. We're presently addressing that and hope to re-solicit the product to retail early next year. We will build another radio story to help facilitate that and we are, as ever, working on that."
Serani signed a 4 album deal with Universal Republic earlier this year but quickly became unhappy with the way things were playing out. Trusting in label partner Phase One Communications Serani and his management agreed that the best route would be to buy themselves out of the Uni-Republic deal and move forward as an indie. No Games was released October 27 on Phase One Communications/Rockstone Media Group, a company jointly owned by Serani and his manager.
"In some ways we cut too good a deal for ourselves with Universal Republic," remarked Jones-Griffith. "They offered us a 360 deal with a healthy advance but knew the back- end would be minimal so we passed on that and cut a unique distribution-with-creative-services deal. I think Republic soon regretted that they would not be seeing the lion's share of profit that a major is used to so we found that we were still coming out of pocket to cover a lot of things going forward and quickly fell off their priority list. Phase One said lets give back Universal what they've laid out and we wont have to give up those points to them, which made sense in the bigger picture. So we took the brave decision to go it alone, drop the album in the 4th quarter and keep the forward movement going. We're going with Take Me Higher as the third single with which we will be going after Top 40."
Serani is continuing to promote No Games across the country, rounding out his North East promotion this week with release parties in Jersey and different demographics in New York, before heading out to the Mid West, Atlanta, Florida and Canada. Trips to the UK and Haiti will round out a landmark year for Serani, who will undoubtedly carry this momentum into 2010.

For the youngster barely old enough to start senior school has just become a MOTHER after going into labour during her WEDDING to her teenage boyfriend.
She was still wearing her flowing white dress and tiara when she arrived at hospital and gave birth to 5lb 8oz Violeta.
But after spending the night with her newborn, Kordeza - who you can see on video below - changed back into her wedding dress and nipped out to finish the ceremony.
And the Zhelyazkova family couldn't be happier for their child bride - the youngest girl ever to give birth in a city where 13-year-old mums are routine.
After leaving hospital this week, Kordeza - who fell pregnant within two weeks of her 11th birthday - spoke exclusively to the News of the World.
With proud husband Jeliazko Dimitrov, 19, at her side, Kordeza admitted: "It feels strange to be a mum and have a baby.
"I used to play with my toys but now she is my new toy. She is so beautiful, I love her. Violeta is the child and I must grow up. I am not going back to school - I am a mother now."
Kordeza met Jeliazko in the playground of her Roma gypsy school in Sliven, Bulgaria, when he rescued her from bullies.
The worried teenager - who is facing up to six years in prison for having sex with a minor - wrings his hands as he recalled: "I was walking past the school when I saw some boys mocking her and I told them to leave her alone.
"Then she arranged to meet me and asked me out on our first date. I thought she was 15. She didn't tell me she was 11."
Kordeza giggled: "I didn't want to say in case he wouldn't fancy me."
The pair went on their first date to their local park then met at his mum Violeta's house near the gypsy ghetto where they both grew up.
But within a WEEK of them meeting, their daughter was conceived. Kordeza admitted: "I haven't had sex education classes and I didn't know how to get pregnant. I'd never had a boyfriend and I'd never heard of condoms.
"I didn't know I was pregnant until my grandmother saw I had put on weight. I just thought I'd eaten too many burgers."
By then Kordeza was five months pregnant and living with her grandmother Dida, 55, because her parents were both working on vineyards in Spain.
Home is a ramshackle one- bedroom bungalow with no bathroom tucked away in a labyrinth of filthy alleys in the ghetto - ironically called Hope.
Dida said: "I noticed she was getting fatter and asked if she was OK. But she's a shy girl and she just shrugged at me. I never imagined she was having sex. She's the kind of girl that likes to play on the computer and loves her schoolwork - her favourite subject is maths.
"I was still worried though and when she told me she had met a boy I bought her a pregnancy test. I hit the roof when it was positive, and she cried and cried."
Incredibly, it is not uncommon for Roma girls to fall pregnant in their teens. Sliven is the underage mums capital of Europe with 177 cases last year.

Motorists in Temple Hall, St Andrew, on Monday experienced the shock of their lives when they witnessed a man being pulled from a car, being shot three times and his body pushed over the bank of a river.
An anonymous source told THE STAR that at about 8 a.m., a white Toyota car stopped at a corner on the Temple Hall main road, preventing any other vehicles from passing and causing a traffic pile-up on both sides of the road.
Shortly after, two men were seen pulling a man from the car. The man's hands were tied behind his back and a bag over his face.
According to the source, the man was shot three times in his head. The gunmen then kicked the dead man over the riverbank and drove off.
The Stony Hill Police Station told THE STAR that the man's body is still unidentified. The deceased is believed to be in his 30s, weighing approximately 120 pounds. The body was clad in a blue long-sleeved shirt, white undershirt, blue jeans pants and black sneakers.
A police source told THE STAR that it is believed that the dead man was a conductor. The Stony Hill police are investigating. The items were reportedly being sold for between J$50 and J$100, and were confiscated from vendors situated at the gates of the Edith Dalton James High, Pembroke Hall High and Duhaney Park Primary schools. The action is part of the police's new push to curb violence in Jamaica's schools.
The Jamaica Observer's report includes pictures of two of the badges (see below), one with a picture of Kartel seemingly holding two pistols, and bearing the words Gaza' and Calabar Empire' in bold type. The other badge shows Kartel holding Mavado's head, and with the words, Mi murder people inna broad daylight'.
The Jamaica Gleaner's report includes statements from Minister of Education, Andrew Holness, who said that the Government intends to bring greater control to the issue of vending in the precincts of schools. Senior Superintendent Delroy Hewitt reportedly argued that some of the vendors actually represent a threat to the children. See the full Jamaica Gleaner report here.
In response to yesterday's developments, Adidja Vybz Kartel' Palmer issued the following statement:
"Vybz Kartel does not sanction or condone the selling of Gaza buttons with violent images and statements, especially to children and teenagers. We do not own the Gaza name but recognize that unscrupulous and unethical persons may be seeking to profit from the popularity of the Gaza name by engaging in these terrible practices. Like the previous games in the series, the soundtrack is mostly made up of in-game radio stations. The song appears on the RamJam FM radio station hosted by DJ David Rodigan, and other reggae tracks by reggae icons such as Ini Kamoze, Barrington Levy and Desmond Dekker.
"Mus Come a Road appeared on the Strictly the Best VP compilation of 2008, and it peaked at #5 on the black chart in England so it is one of those masterpiece tunes in Europe, and it was popular on the west

These radio stations can be listened to when driving various vehicles in the game, or at the start menu. RamJam Fm can only be listened to in Episodes from Liberty City.
Radio stations in past Grand Theft Auto games have included licensed music, original music made specifically for the game, DJ chat, and spoof advertising. This game includes 19 in-game radio stations (20 in the PC edition) and over 200 tracks (whether licensed or original). Of the 19 stations, 16 are musical stations while the other 3 are talk radio.
GTA IV has generated perfect or near perfect reviews and scores on almost all of the games, and has sold over 70 million copies worldwide, as of March 2008.
Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer take Dancehall Night at Sumfest |
Dressed in all-white (even her sneakers were sparkling white), she hit the stage after Fantan Mojah performed, and had the capacity audience at Addison Park in Brown's Town buzzing with excitement.
Baby Tash is a great dancer, jiggling her waistline as she showed off a wide assortment of 'wines' that dazzled the crowd and had them hanging on her every word. When she deejayed 'Some Gal Too Mix Up', and got an immediate forward.
Then she segued neatly into Talk the Tings Straight, a delightful stage show tune full of humourous lines and sexual innuendo. The crowd revelled in the 'mix-up' especially the lines where Tash recounted how
an ex-boyfriend went around the community boasting about how he was a gallis, but then neglected to tell people that she had "caught him eating in bed with knife and fork". The crowd, especially the females, screamed raucously for this line, and Tash was forced to pull up the song.
It was a brilliant performance as Tash danced, and wined, using every centimeter of the stage. She closed strongly with her latest radio hit, Facebook, and then left the stage. However, the crowd was having none of that, and demanded an encore,
She returned to do Facebook and as bonus, even though the stage manager said the show was pressed for time, did Haffi Come Back, got a great performance and then exited. The crowd shouted its approval.
Jenny Jenny, one of the hostesses of the night, was so overwhelmed by Tash's performance that she hugged her afterwards. It appears that a star was born in Brown's Town that night.
Other good performances came from Macka Diamond, Hawkeye, Stevie Face, Fantan Mojah, Singer Jah, Tifa, RDX and Timberlee.
Baby Tash will next perform at Western Jamboree in Tivoli Gardens on
December 6th.
Aidonia said he has reinvented himself and is now ready to take back his spot in the dancehall industry with JOP (Jag One Production) by his side.
"Mi hide weh and reinvent mi thing. Mi nah deal with anything fi throw off mi energy or mi meds. So any negative people I was around, we just walk wide. We not even waan breathe the same air weh dem breathe," Aidonia told THE WEEKEND STAR.
When asked if his statement was in reference to anyone in particular, he said 'no'.
However, he is no longer as close to Vybz Kartel, who he used to fondly refer to saying 'Addi Mi Daddy'. Aidonia left the Alliance shortly after Vybz Kartel in 2006.
high-powered weapons
In February 2008, Operation Kingfish questioned the two about a picture with men resembling them both posing with what appeared to be high-powered weapons. However, they were never charged.
"The last time mi talk to him (Kartel) was over the phone about a month ago. Mi only see him pon the TV and on the Internet. Da one time link link deh everyday, no deh deh again," Aidonia told THE WEEKEND STAR.
"If we see each other, no malice, no nutten. If mi hail him and him nuh waan hail me, a fi him business that. Right now a music me a deal wid. Aidonia come back fi di number one spot inna music. Di standard a music drop. Music needs melody but it still needs lyrics and flow."
Aidonia's performance at the recent Fully Loaded show at James Bond Beach in St Mary, was also a surprise, as it was organised by Sharon Burke, Bounty Killer's booking agent.
However, Aidonia said he is no longer in any form of malice with Bounty Killer, so being there was not an issue.
"Mi always seh Bounty Killer a mi grandfather, we look up to Killer to the fullest. Me and nobody nuh inna nutten. A nuh no malice thing. We see each other a Bibi (national footballer Ricardo Gardener) dance the other day and we had a reasoning," he said while noting that he has no plans to rejoin the Bounty Killer led Alliance.
"We a keep it neutral. The whole a we a brothers and sisters inna di music industry," he said.
"Me and Shane-O a lead out JOP," Aidonia said, while noting that Shane-O joined the group about four months ago.
He said the focus is now on Suhverto from the JOP camp, who recently released a single called Step Pon Bwoy. He said he wants him to be the next big thing out of the camp.
Work will also be done with other artistes from the group like Deablo, Size Ten and Show Crime.
In the meantime, Aidonia is working with producers such as Russian (Head Concussion Music), Jordan McClure (Chimney Records), DASECA, Birch, Sparks, Stephen McGregor and Equiknoxx.
He is also working on an album, which will have about 15 new tracks, seven of which are already complete. In addition, he will release another CD with some of his older tracks.
Aidonia also has upcoming shows in Europe, The Bahamas and New York.
Hurricane Dean ushered Bruce Golding and the JLP into government in September 2007. Tropical Storm Gustav commemorated their first year in office. So far, knock on wood, the 2009 hurricane season has been particularly quiet.
Then, just as things seemed to be winding down to the usual end of summer back-to-school, money-have-to-spend and government-and teachers-must-quarrel, the U.S. authorities are treating us to a whirlwind of scandal, gossip and gambling by requesting that the JLP government of Bruce Golding render up JLP and Tivoli Gardens strongman, Christopher Dudus Coke unto the U.S. justice system, well known for eating up Jamaicas bad men and spitting them out again five or ten years later, no harm done.
LOOK PANTHE MAN HOUSE
Christopher DudusCoke and his Plantation Heights yard
So how good a story is the requested extradition of Dudus ? Lets see how it breaks down:-
(1) Dudus father, Lester Lloyd Coke aka Jim Brown died in a fire in his cell on February 23, 1991. He was due to be removed to the U.S. to face trial the following day. Among those who remember Jim Brown, everyone has their favourite theory as to who ordered the death of Jim Brown e.g. some say he committed suicide; some say Seaga ordered his death to conceal his ties to the JLP; some say he was killed by his cronies who had no doubt that he would sing like a bird once he was in a U.S. prison.
So, can Dudus even survive to face trial in the U.S. ? And if he is to die, who gives the order this time ? Someone in Columbia ? Someone in the U.S. ? Someone in the upper echelons of the present government ?
(2) The history of the extradition treaty between Jamaica and the U.S. since 1991 is basically about JLP dons and a PNP government. Will things be different now that Dudus M.P. and the M.P. for West Kingston is Bruce Golding, the Prime Minister of Jamaica?
(3) Why is Dudus Cokes lawyer, JLP Senator Tom Tavares-Finson, sounding hesitant and unsure of his ground when discussing the matter with the pro-government team at Nationwide radio ?
Where is the brash, arrogant, take-no-prisoners Tom Tavares- Finson that we have come to know (if not to love )?
Can the JLP Senator be worrying that his clients case is all too similar to that of Norris Deedo Nembhard (designated a drug kingpin by George Bush, Nembhard was extradited to the U.S. in 2008, and subsequently convicted on various charges) ? Is he worried that Dudus will suffer the same fate as Leebert Ramcharan ?
Senator Tom Tavares-Finson
(4) Many, many times over the years we have heard that Jamaican criminals in U.S. prisons were going to sing like birds. Remember when Vivian Blake was going to ensure that dozens of Jamaican politicians and well known businessmen were discredited, arrested, extradited to the U.S.? Going to rot forever in an American jail ?
Instead, a mere 9 years after he received 28 years in prison, Vivian Blake is back home in Jamaica .
Vivian Blake of the Shower Posse
(5) Dudus has supposedly got cover from his government. Under the PNP, this kind of ha****ment was par for the course. Nowadays, Dudus is a respectable businessman who is rewarded for his loyalty in the usual manner: a few government contracts here and there.
So, what will his coverage be worth ? Can Prime Minister Golding really hide Dudus from the U.S. authorities behind his governments skirts ?

Thompson gained notoriety for his lawsuit against Grand Theft Auto's Take Two Interactive, Sony Computer Entertainment America, and Wal-Mart, arguing that video games caused violent behavior, as well as for his appearance on a 2005 60 Minutes episode where he likened a video game to a "murder simulator".
That stance seems to have gained him little love on Facebook among gamers, where users have posted groups such as the 255-member Jack Thompson should be smacked across the face with an Atari 2600 or 370-member I Hate Jack Thompson.
Thompson's suit follows on the heels of a controversial poll posted on Facebook that asked users to vote on the question "Should Obama be killed?". Facebook later removed the poll, and Thompson, in his lawsuit, cites Facebook's decision to remove the offensive content in arguing that he deserves the same treatment.
Macworld reports:
Citing Facebook's recent decision to remove a poll asking if U.S. President Barack Obama should be shot, Thompson demands the same treatment for his detractors in the lawsuit. "Unlike our President, Thompson does not have the Secret Service to protect him," he writes.
Thompson argues that the posts on Facebook directed at him have caused him "great harm and distress," Macworld writes.
Johnny Augustus Baltazar surrendered to authorities Monday and was scheduled to appear in federal court.
Prosecutors say Baltazar attempted to illegally ship a container packed with 10 handguns and 1,500 rounds of ammunition to Belize from the Los Angeles International Airport. His indictment follows a probe by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Baltazar's attorney Arthur Avazian says he has not read the indictment and can't comment.
Baltazar, who is on administrative leave from the Police Department, is charged with unlawful interstate transportation of a firearm and ammunition

"We have to follow the rules and regulations, which means we will have to give him 14 days' notice that his contract will be canceled," Whelan told Sky Sports. "He is absolutely sacked. We will not tolerate football players who get sent to jail for 18 months."
A jury at London's Southwark Crown Court unanimously convicted King of sexual assault and causing actual bodily harm with a punch last December in London.
"You have shown not a hint of shame at your disgraceful and arrogant behavior," judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith said. "It was wholly unprovoked. Everybody in that group did their level best to make you leave."
The victim, a 20-year-old university student, and two friends, who claim King also pestered them at a London bar, were among a number of witnesses who identified the Wigan player.
"Although they and others told you politely and firmly to leave her alone you weren't prepared to be ignored," the judge said. "Your response was to boast you were a multimillionaire and to say that the complainant was not in your league."
King, who told the court that he was the victim of mistaken identity, had traveled to London from northeast England to celebrate after scoring a winning goal for Hull, where he was on loan at the time.
King's professional career began at Barnet in 1998 before transferring to Gillingham, where he established himself as one of the best young strikers outside the Premier League. But his career stalled in 2002 after serving five months in jail for being caught at the wheel of a stolen BMW - one of seven previous convictions since the age of 17.
In 2003, he was convicted for common assault on two women he chased through London with a belt wrapped round his fist.
Three years later, he was convicted of threatening behavior after slapping another woman and then spitting at her when police arrived.
