Tiger Woods sex toys have flooded the marketsince the world's top golfer became embroiled in an intricate web of women. As it turns out, Woods' lawyers aren't pleased. TMZ got its hands on a letter demanding that one manufacturer suspend sales and destroy its stock of Tiger Woods sex toys.
It is perhaps slightly ironic that Woods' lawyers are trying to stop the spread of Tiger sex toys. After all, it seems little was done to restrain Woods during his own sex-fueled years of adultery, and the fallout from his philandering continues to surface. Just yesterday, porn star Joslyn James, who says she was twice impregnated by Woods, released a batch ofextremely graphic text messages in which Woods allegedly craves -- and explicitly describes -- secret sex rendezvouses.

Norman Grindley -Delroy Hewitt superintendent of Police in charge of the St Andrew South Division hugs a child during a visit to the Majesty Gardens community in the division yesterday. The community has seen an upsurge in violence in recent days.
A dispute between two families in a section of Majesty Gardens (more popularly known as Back To) in St Andrew reportedly over guns has left a number of persons homeless.Head of the Hunts Bay police, Superintendent Delroy Hewitt while in the community on Thursday admitted to THE STAR that the police will be having a hard time trying to put an end to the feud.
"This is a feud between two families over guns, it's a really difficult situation because they are blaming each other but nobody is giving statements," Superintendent Hewitt said.
Yesterday, scores of residents, majority of whom were women and little children lined the streets as the family which is now homeless vented their anger to each other, their feuding counterparts as well as the police.
ultimatum
The homeless and obviously disgruntled persons say they have been sleeping at the Hunts Bay Police Station since Monday night after they were given an ultimatum by an influential member of the community who told them to leave by 8:30 p.m. or die.
"When him seh dat people jus start run up and dung ... people all buck up cause everyone a try lef di place one time," a female resident who spoke on condition of anonymity said.
The feud they say was sparked recently after men from one family accused men from the other family of stealing two guns.
It is reported that the argument about the guns led to the murder of Mark Perkins, a resident who was gunned down in a section of the community on February 8.
The police say they are still investigating that case and are yet to make a breakthrough.
personal belongings
Being homeless nevertheless is just one of their issues, although the police are urging the family to move back into the community, they will be without a number of their personal belongings including beds, refrigerators, television sets, fans and even clothes.
"Since wi move out dem thief out wi tings dem weh wi lef in deh ... So even if we move in back we naw go have nuttin," another resident reasoned.
The police say they will be stepping up their presence in the community in an effort to hinder any upsurge in violence.
Claimed he was fascinated by reptile
When police and wildlife personnel found a crocodile tied up at the back of a man's house in Clarendon, they did not know it was a childhood fascination that he had with the reptile.
On February 12, members of the Island Special Constabulary Force and personnel from the National Environmental Planning Agency reportedly raided the home belonging to Donald Cornwall in Gravel Hill.
A four-foot-long crocodile was reportedly found at the premises and was later released back into the wild while Cornwall was subsequently charged for breaches of the Wildlife and Protection Act.
Cornwall, 26, appeared in the May Pen Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday where he pleaded guilty to the charge. He was sentenced to six months hard labour suspended for six months.
cold-*lo**ed creature
The Clarendon resident explained to the court that he had no intention of hurting the reptile. However, he said, from his childhood days he had a fascination for the cold-*lo**ed creature.
The police had become aware of Cornwall's pet crocodile after residents reported seeing the reptile at his home. When THE STAR spoke to a number of residents yesterday they said that they were relieved when the crocodile was removed from their community.
"Jah know wi glad wi find out before nuttin did go wrong ... Cause u woulda hear seh crocodile kill off people dung yah all because one man watch too much TV," one resident who gave her name as Junie told THE STAR.
"Pickney live inna di community and yu know how dem troublesome already ... Next thing dem go trouble di crocodile and dead. No, wi nuh want no crocodile in yah," another resident, Marlon Cummings said.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey Police say they have made an arrest in the case of a racial comment being made over the public-address system at a Walmart store in the state of New Jersey.
The Washington Township Police Department said on its Web site early Saturday that an arrest has been made in a "bias incident" at the retail store. The posting says the police and Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office will announce the arrest at a midday news conference.
Washington Township Police declined to comment early Saturday.
A male voice came over the Walmart public address system Sunday evening and calmly announced: "Attention, Walmart customers: All black people, leave the store now." The announcement provoked an immediate apology from the store manager.
A husband refused sex by his wife has been jailed for indecent assault after taking matters into his own hands and ejaculating on her whilst she slept.
The Taiwanese couple, both in their forties and with two children, began to have marital difficulties, though they still shared a bed.
The case began one night with the husband nuzzling his wife in bed and being told to cut it out. After being told not to touch her he made 5 or 6 similar advances but was rebuffed each time.
The wife later awoke to find semen on her inner thighs, and jumped up to find her husband sleeping beside with his nether regions uncovered.
The wife then berated her husband and wiped off the semen with some toilet paper; she subsequently made a complaint to police saying that she had been coerced into sex, presenting the semen encrusted toilet paper as evidence.
Despite being repeatedly admonished that this was a domestic issue by the court, the woman was having none of it and insisted criminal charges be filed.
The husband, apparently with the support of his children, told the court that he had simply had a nocturnal emission and then taken off his semen soaked underwear.
The court was not however convinced, as he could not explain how the semen ended up on his wifes thighs and not the inside of his boxers.
He was found guilty of indecency, which in Taiwan carries a minimum sentence of 6 months, and a maximum of 5 years. He was subsequently given an 8 month prison sentence. His wife also initiated divorce proceedings.

Lady Gaga is firing back against the ex-flame who's accused her of cheating him out of millions -- charging he's the one who took advantage of her.
In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Stefani Joanne Germanotta -- better known as Lady Gaga -- says producer Robert Fusari "induced" her into an "unlawful arrangement" where he would receive 20 percent of the earnings from her first four albums as well as producer fees, even if he didn't produce the records.
The "Poker Face" singer is seeking a court order declaring their contract "void and unenforceable," as well as the return of any cash he's already collected.
While Fusari painted himself as Gaga's mentor and lover in his lawsuit, her court papers characterize him as an "unlawful employment agent."
It cites several laws enacted to protect employees "including inexperienced recording artists" from "predatory and financial abusive practices by employment agencies."
Fusari's lawyer, Robert Meloni, said: "That argument is one of the most ridiculous I've heard in 30 years."
Meloni said the statute is aimed at barring unlicensed talent agents from collecting commissions from artists, but argued that his client isn't a talent agent.
"If there was anything to this, any lawyer or producer who ever shopped an artist [to a record company] would be quaking in their boots," he said. He called the contention "ludicrous" and said it "smacks of desperation."
Gaga's lawyers did not return calls for comment.
Fusari's production company sued Gaga's production companies earlier this week for $30 million. The filing recounted the professional and romantic history with the songstress he says he helped transform into a superstar.
Meanwhile, a former pal of the singer told The Post she never knew the two were lovers.
"I didn't know he was dating her," said Cricket Casey, who called the revelation "kind of creepy" because of the age difference between the pair -- she was 20 at the time and he was 38.
MONEAGUE, St Ann -- Thieves yesterday morning broke into a Western Union and Digicel store here in Moneague, making off with cash and cellular phones valued at more than $1 million.
The store is one of four operated by St Ann businessman and member of Parliament for North West St Ann Othniel Lawrence.
The Moneague police, who are investigating, believe the robbers gained entry by cutting away the padlocks on the grill and forcing the door open.
According to the police, the thieves disarmed the security system and damaged the surveillance cameras and its connections.
The police recovered the shell of a section of the security system. It's hard drive, however, was missing.
"The entire security system was destroyed, they cut down all the cameras and damaged the system which it was connected to," Lawrence told the Observer.
"This is a big setback for the business. Only yesterday (Thursday) we stocked the Digicel section of the store with a wide range of new phones."
Lawrence said he was informed by his security company that a signal was sent to its location about 4:00 am and that the Moneague police, who are a few chains away, were informed.
"The security company informed me that the police told them that they came and checked the area and that the place was alright, but this morning we came to find it broken into and the entire store ransacked," Lawrence said.
"Everything is kept overnight in a well-secured vault and I can't understand how they gained entry to the vault. It would take them several hours to get in, open the vault and leave," Lawrence said.
At the same time he called for more frequent police patrols in business areas.
Yesterday, investigators probing the robbery questioned several of the workers.

WHERE'S YOUR AMBITION? ... Manchester United star Nani has questioned Steven Gerrard's motivation
The Portuguese winger already has enough gongs in his short Manchester United career to make Gerrard green with envy.
That is why Nani believes the England star should be thinking about moving on.
Nani, 23, said: "I do not know about the intentions of Steven Gerrard this summer but it is normal that a player with his quality desires to win titles and if this doesn't happen in Liverpool he could think about leaving."
In-form Nani, 23, says Gerrard will have nothing to celebrate tomorrow, either, with United ready to slap Liverpool back down after the Merseysiders' morale-boosting Europa League victory over Lille.
Nani said: "I bet we do not lose one match at Old Trafford until the end of season."
Such is Nani's confidence he can see United winning both Premier League and Champions League to complete a treble with the Carling Cup already in the bag.
He said: "If we happen to win the treble this year it won't surprise me. We've won one title and are fighting for the others. Nobody could doubt we deserve success.
"So we should, this is the best club in the world and we have a sensational squad."
Nani expected Liverpool to be one of those teams challenging them for the title at least this season. Instead, Rafa Benitez's side are locked in a battle just to scrape into a Champions League place.
He said: "In the summer I included Liverpool in the group who would race for the title and I am surprised at their situation. Perhaps injuries to key men have damaged them.
"It won't be easy for them to finish fourth. The other clubs will put up a terrific fight and the slightest change can affect the whole situation.
"It's a bit like our own battle to be champions."
Mind you, everything else is put to one side when the two most successful clubs in English football history meet. Nani said: "I have been in England for three years and I've seen the enormous rivalry between United and Liverpool. It's not just a game for three points - the pride of the fans is at stake.
"So this is a very special match for me which we must win to maintain our morale for the remaining league matches."
Nani's morale is certainly high right now as he enjoys his best spell since United paid Sporting Lisbon £14million in summer 2007.
That is a far cry from November when the Portuguese ace revealed details of Alex Ferguson's dressing-room rants in an outspoken attack on the boss.
Now Nani claims all is sweetness and light. He said: "The boss always demands the maximum of his players - and that is normal.
"I accept his orders because I respect his experience and I am very grateful to Mr Ferguson because never could I have predicted to live this sort of experience when I began my career in Portugal."
The feeling is mutual and Ferguson admires the way Nani has matured as a player.
Fergie said: "He has all the parts and what maturity does is to bring it all together. We are definitely seeing a great improvement in his form in recent weeks.
"He was unfortunate to be out for a few weeks in December. But when he got his chance he has taken it.
"When a player gets in the team and does well he can only hope the manager says that he will stay in.
"And in Nani's case, he has stayed in."

BA cabin crew started their three-day walkout at midnight after talks between the airline and the union Unite broke down.
With 1,100 flights cancelled, the industrial action is upsetting travel plans for thousands of air passengers this weekend.
BAsaid it had put in place its biggest ever contingency plan to try to get 65% passengers to their destinations.
It is operating all flights to and from London City airport and all long-haul flights to and from Gatwick airport in West Sussex.
The airline plans to run 50% of its short-haul Gatwick services, about 60% of its Heathrow long-haul services and about 30% of its Heathrow short-haul flights.
BA's Willie WalshI am satisfied that our contingency plans are robust. We are very confident that we will continue to fly our customers in comfort.
A spokeswoman said: "At Heathrow and Gatwick we have got off to a good start. London City is operating as normal.
"Cabin crew are reporting as normal at Gatwick and the numbers reporting at Heathrow are above the levels we need to operate our published schedule."
BA has arranged with more than 60 other airlines to take its customers on their flights on the first strike days.
:: What to do if you have a BA ticket.
While some passengers whose flights have been cancelled are travelling on other carriers, others have arranged to fly with BA at a later date and some have opted to get a refund.
Sky sources said the carrier has estimated that more than 100,000 passengers have cancelled their tickets since the strike dates were announced at a cost to the airline of £27m.
Uniteclaimed its 12,000 members were solidly supporting the walkout, called in a bitter dispute over cost cutting.
The union is holding a rally at Bedfont Football Club and picket lines have been mounted at several entrances to Heathrow.
One flight attendant at Heathrow, speaking anonymously, said: "The morale here is fantastic and the public support is tremendous with everyone hooting their horns.
"We have seen only one BA short-haul aircraft take-off in the last 40 minutes. (Willie) Walsh (BA chief executive) seems to think 64% of passengers will be flying but we think that's very optimistic of him."
Sky News reporter Enda Brady said Heathrow was "extremely quiet" as the strike got under way.
"People seem happy enough to be flying but looking around there are hardly any passengers - it's the quietest I've ever seen Heathrow," he said.
"Looking at the flight departure board, it is surprising how many flights are by other operators."
BA's Willie Walsh
BA made record losses of £401m in the 2008/9 financial year and a record loss of £292m for the six months to the end of last September.
A four-day stoppage is also set to start on March 27, with further action expected from mid-April unless the deadlock is broken.
Unite's deputy general secretary Len McCluskey told Sky News he was disappointed that negotiations had failed and accused BA of a "heavy handed approach" with the union.
"It's obviously a sad day, no one wanted to get to this position, certainly not our cabin crew, but the response has been magnificent.
"We've said all along to BA that this can only be resolved through negotiation, not through intimidation, confrontation or litigation."
Officers search for passenger who allegedly bit taxi driver
The suspect brandished a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the driver, officers have said.
But then there was a struggle and the gunman bit the cabbie about five times on the neck, arm and back, police added.
The suspect had got into the taxi in Manhattan around 3am on March 13 and then asked to be taken to a location in the Bronx.
Police said when the car arrived at the destination, the suspect pulled out the gun and demanded the cabbie's money.
After apparently biting his victim, the man then fled in an unknown direction without the cash.
The suspect is described as 6ft, Hispanic and in his 30s. He was wearing a black leather jacket.
WARNING: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC
Another of tiger's alleged lover has released a series of extremely graphic text messages that, if authentic, show the golfer expressing his desire for a range of sex acts.
Early in the message thread, the sender tells James, "I want to be deep inside you." Later, he explains that he wants to "put my c--k in your a-- and then shove it down your throat" and "hold you down while I choke you." He says he will "slap your face and pull your hair for making noise." He also informs James that "you are my f--king wh--e."
Perhaps most shockingly, in one of the alleged texts Woods asks James if she has "ever had a golden shower done to you."
The Police have decided to deny permission for school marches, during the week of Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships (CHAMPS).
In addition, the Police will not be granting permission for the staging of any pre or post CHAMPS fetes or parties during the same period.
These and other announcements were made Thursday morning(March 18) by Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Operations Portfolio, Glenmore Hinds, during a meeting at the Police Officers' Club with principals and other representatives of various high schools in the Corporate Area and St. Catherine, according to a release from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
"Having done our risk assessment, we have decided to take these measures in order to ensure that we are best able to properly secure this major sporting event. It is not something that we want to do, but we have noticed that, as CHAMPS date gets closer, there has been an increase in the incidents of violence involving high school students," he stated.
Mr. Hinds urged supporters of the schools participating in CHAMPS to go to the event and cheer on their schools with vigour, but without the attendant violence which has occasioned CHAMPS, especially over the last five years.
He said that the police will be looking out for individuals going to, or entering the National Stadium with offensive weapons.
"Persons, whether adults or students, who are found with offensive weapons will be prosecuted. So, we are asking those persons attending CHAMPS to do so without carrying any offensive weapons," Mr. Hinds said.
The Acting Deputy Commissioner emphasized, during the meeting, that the police will significantly increase levels of deployment from the first day of CHAMPS to the end of the event. These deployments include motorized and foot patrols.
Attention will be given to specific areas where the presence of the police will be marked and visible. These areas include: Cross Roads, leading to Tom Redcam Drive to include South Camp Road; Arthur Wint Drive to the National Stadium; Stanton Terrace, leading to Liguanea; Mountain View Avenue and Half Way Tree, with an emphasis on the Transport Centre.
Divisional Commanders in the various Geographic Divisions, and other police personnel, will be visiting schools in the country to talk to students and teachers, with the aim of sensitizing these persons on the importance of staging an incident free CHAMPS.
Holidaymakers wanting to feel like true high-flyers can now relax in a luxurious new hotel suite - inside a vintage Boeing airliner.
The exclusive two-bedroom suite is housed inside the fuselage of a 1965 Boeing 727, which was destined for scrap.
It costs between £200-250 per night to book the unusual suite, located at the Hotel Costa Verde on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio National Park.
Jutting out from a hillside, the Boeing offers views of the ocean and the jungle from balconies built on each wing.
Inside the meticulously refurbished airframe are two wood-panelled bedrooms, a kitchenette, dining room and living area and two bathrooms.
A spokesman for the Hotel Costa Verde described it as 'the most exclusive hotel suite in Costa Rica'.
He said: "We are proud to unveil our newest lodgings - a fully outfitted, meticulously-detailed, two-bedroom, Boeing 727 fuselage suite.
"We have refurbished a vintage 1965 Boeing 727 airframe, which in its prior life shuttled globetrotters on South Africa Air and Avianca Airlines of Colombia.
"We salvaged this airframe, piece by piece, from its San Jose airport resting place.
"We carefully transported the pieces on five, big-rig trucks to the jungles of Manuel Antonio, where they have been resurrected into a unique jumbo hotel suite.
"Our classic airplane, nestled on the edge of the National Park, is perched on a 50-foot pedestal.
"At this height, you will enjoy scenic ocean and jungle views from the hard wood deck built atop the plane's former right wing.
"The plane's interior is Costa Rican teak panelling from the c**kpit to the tail. Furnishings are hand-carved, teak furniture from Java, Indonesia.
"Enjoy an evening on the terrace while sipping a glass of wine and observing your tree top neighbours: sloths, toucans and monkeys."
A robbery attempt in the Irish Town community turned fatal early yesterday morning when two of the thieves were chopped to death, one injured and another is on the run.
It is alleged that the men attempted to rob a shop in the community when a passer-by saw the activity and alerted the residents.
According to the police, the four robbers who drove a white Toyota Caldina, broke into the shop after the owner had closed it for the night.
The officer told THE WEEKEND STAR that a man who had passed the shop saw the car and it arose his suspicion. Further investigation by the resident revealed that the shop was being robbed and he alerted other residents.
The angry residents attacked the robbers and two of the men were chopped to death and another seriously injured. It is claimed that one of the men had lived in the community some years ago.

Reggae Singer and songwriter Tarrus Riley ended his 2009-2010 Europe and North America 'Contagious' touron a high note closing with a sensational set at the 17th annual Bob Marley Movements Caribbean Festival inMiami, Florida.
After a successful leg in the US and Canada late last year, the artiste resumed his album tour in January through March, making waves in some 30 cities across France, Belgium, London, Sweden, Spain, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Germany as well as completing stints in California and Florida.
His first extended set in Europe, while the cold whistled and howled outside, Riley warmed patrons up with somesweet music on the inside.
uplifts the spirit
"With Tarrus Riley you can always expect to hear 'feel good music'... music with a meaning as well as music that uplifts the spirit and soul and I delivered just that. The set list had a great mix of material - hits from the previous albums including She's Royal, Lion Paw as well as current material from the Contagious album including Start Anew, Love's Contagious, Human Nature, Living The Life of A Gun among others," said Riley.
"The crowd was highly responsive at each venue and one could see that they were visibly tuned in, singing along with us word for word and really enjoying themselves."
Performing to sold-out stops each night across Europe including Ghent in Belgium, the Sapphire Club and the Brixton Academy in London, Stockholm in Sweden and the U-Club in Wuppertal, Germany, Riley, who was joined by rising reggae stars I-Octane, Duane Stephenson and the Blak Soil band led by saxophonist extraordinaire Dean Fraser, then travelled to the US where they were well received at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California, The Catalysts in Santa Cruz, the Arcata Theater in California among multiple additional venues before Riley capped things off as a headline act at the Bob Marley Movements Carib-bean Festival.
"The North America stops were also really great this time around... Still a bit chilly but definitely not as cold as Europe," said Riley. "We were concentrating this leg towards the west in California then headed south to Florida whereas the last time we touched a bit of everywhere including Canada, Rhode Island, New York, Virginia, etc. We again brought the best of our positive vibes, spreading the message of positivity, unity and love through good, clean music."
And while Riley was covering significant ground on his international 'Contagious' tour, he was also making a clean sweep at local award presentations as well as receiving international nods and securing top spots on international music charts.
number-one spot
At the Excellence in Music and Entertainment (EME) he copped the Cultural Artiste of the Year as well as the Best Cultural Artiste category at the local Youth View Awards. Following this, Riley's laurels continued with recent nomination for Top International Reggae Artist at RMAA (Reggae Music Achievement Awards) which will be held in Toronto, Canada, on June 12, 2010.
He also celebrates the number-one spot for his album Contagious in Canada on Galaxie TV Satellite Channel (Bell TV, Rogers TV, Videotron TV, MTS TV, Sasktel TV, Shaw TV, Telus TV).
A stellar first yearly quarter sealed by sold-out tours and significant wins and nominations, Riley, who is now back on the 'Rock' says he will resume writing and recording new material as well as continue to push his Contagiousalbum which has been doing very well internationally.
"I enjoy writing and making music. That process never stops... I love what I put out and the people love what we put out so we always have to keep it fresh and keep it going."

With the official closing of the Havendale studio operated by deejay Vybz Kartel this week, the deejay says where he will be based is not an issue to the release of his music.
Last week THE STAR reported that the police said that the studio which is operated by Kartel on Kirk Avenue in Havendale, St Andrew, is operating without a permit and is a public disturbance. Superintendent Newton Amos, head of operations for the Area Five police, last week said they are seeking to have the studio shut down. He said police have written to the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation (KSAC) requesting its closure.
Amos said representatives of the KSAC had since reported that a permit was not granted for the studio. "It is a residential area and noise and obstruction is something which has caught our attention," he said. The request for closure has since come through and the residence will no longer be operating as a studio.
Speaking with the deejay after the studio's closure he said, "the music will continue to be created. Cause dem a go tired fi see mi face."
The deejay recently released his latest collaboration with Portmore Empire artistes Popcaan and Gaza Slim calledClarks, and he is also being featured on Russian's 'Remedy' rhythm.

Hit-making trio DASECA will be releasing their latest rhythm, 'the Genesis' on March 23 and will be available for Digital release on Itunes.
Instead of flooding the marketplace with CDs and free download links as soon as the project had been mixed, they decided to structure its release by keeping it exclusive to select radio DJs.
David Harrisingh from DASECA commented: "What has become the norm for Jamaican producers is to literally give away the music as soon as it is finished. Email blasts, social networking sites and blogs ensure the music ends up in the hands of any and everyone who wants it, and they don't have to pay for it. So while it creates a hype and give artistes hit songs and generates shows and dub plate, income for them, the producer, has to pretty much wait on the few remaining labels who deal with reggae to license a song here or there for a compilation."
He added: "Whereas in the past labels would take the entire rhythm from a producer, that has stopped because of poor sales and because the music has never been marketed properly, causing it to end up in a mire. Producers are needed in the business just as much as artistes so we have to find a way to survive."
The Genesis rhythm was premiered on New York's coveted HOT 97, by Bobby Konders and the buzz has already given DASECA much encouragement for their approach. A UK commercial radio premiere followed and of courseJamaica.
With similar premieres taking place in Canada, Miami, Washington DC, Boston and other territories, the trio are gearing up for the final marketing push this week before its imminent digital release.
Shantayah Lewis, 16, and her 15-year-old pal, Shaquina Grant, were with a group of friends on Franklin Ave. in Crown Heights at about 5 p.m. when a man and a woman pulled up in a car, witnesses said.
The pair - who witnesses identified as "Darnell" and "Corona" - stormed out of the vehicle and zeroed in on the two teens.
The man grabbed the two girls and held them down as the woman repeatedly slashed and stabbed Lewis' face with a knife and jabbed the blade once in Grant's body, witnesses said.
"[They] get out and start fighting with them until Darnell holds these two little girls down and Corona just starts slicing my granddaughter's face up," said Cheryl Evans, 55.
The two girls somehow escaped and ran to Evans' Union St. home a few blocks away, leaving a trail of *lo** behind them.

The unedited citation reads: "Very few single albums can be said to have changed music forever. Jimmy Cliff's The Harder They Come is one. The album - and the movie that spawned it - introduced reggae to a world-wide audience and changed the image of the genre from cruise ship soundtrack to music of rebellion and inspiration. Sitting in Limbo, The Harder They Come, You Can Get It If You Really Want and Many Rivers to Cross made Jimmy Cliff the first international reggae superstar and created the model that Bob Marley would soon follow. A beautifully gifted singer and a uniquely influential songwriter, Jimmy Cliff has made a profound impact on rock and pop music all over the world for 40 years".
Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Olivia 'Babsy' Grange congratulated Cliff who is an international reggae artiste and actor, as "most deserving" of this honour. She said he produced excellent music since the 60s and exposed reggae music to the peoples of the world. She added that the induction shows "the impact reggae has had on the world and the invaluable role Jimmy Cliff has played in achieving that".
