Photoshop Elements 5 joins the growing army of programs that insist on jumping in and doing things you've not asked them to do. In this instance, your reviewer uses a flash drive to transfer documents between machines. When said flash drive is inserted into the test machine with Photoshop Elements 5 on it, a window jumps up calculating how many image files are contained upon it, offering to help you catalogue them. And while this is a feature that's very useful to some, when added to the raft of other windows that seem to want to open when you plug a flash drive into a standard PC, it's a right royal irritation. Photoshop Elements 5 is, however, brilliant. We may as well start with the Organizer function, being as we've been mean to it so far. It's one of the most intuitive, helpful and friendly methods by which to organise images that we've seen to date. You can categorise and arrange your pictures by date, time and content, and these are represented by visual stacks. You can even - and we loved this - highlight on a map where you took the image, and then browse your image collection via a map of the globe. The idea of a web browser being the operating system of the future is nothing new for Microsoft. They realized the vast potential of the Internet long before we had such catch phrases as "Web 2.0", "Office 2.0" or "Enterprise 2.0". That is why Microsoft took aim at web browser rival Netscape and blew it out of the water in the first web browser war by packaging Internet Explorer with its popular Windows operating system.
But Microsoft's dominance in the browser market has been slipping over the past few years. With Mozilla's Firefox making a big push, and niche browsers like Flock attracting some users, Internet Explorer has seen its market share slowly slide as more and more users become aware that there is an alternative.
Google's announcement that they are getting involved in the web browser war isn't really a surprise. Google Chrome is just the next logical step for the company that dominates the web in much the same way that Microsoft dominates the personal computer.
But Microsoft's battle for future dominance goes way beyond Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The chief rival in the new web browser wars isn't an individual browser so much as it is the emerging trends of Office 2.0 and Mobile 2.0.
Let's start with Mobile 2.0. In just a few short years, cell phones went from a company-issued device to something everyone was carrying around in their pocket. This is the same trend happening with smartphones. In a few years, the vast majority of people will be walking around with Internet-capable miniature computers in their pockets. You'll be able to talk, text, email, web browse, social network, blog, watch video and do pretty much anything else you could do at your home computer -- perhaps even play World of Warcraft on your smartphone.
And with an estimated 1.7 billion users accessing the web by 2013, this makes smartphones the new frontier. And it is a frontier that is not owned by Microsoft. In fact, Microsoft's mobile version of Internet Explorer trails way behind the iPhone's Safari, Opera's mini and mobile browsers and the soon-to-be-released Skyfire browser, which may have them all beat in terms of reproducing the 'real' web on your phone.
Next up: Office 2.0. While the initiative to bring sophisticated applications to the web might not sound like a threat to the world's most popular browser, it is perhaps the biggest threat of all. Sophisticated web applications will make the choice of operating system less relevant.
If the trend of the web-browser-as-operating-system continues, fewer and fewer people will need expensive, powerful personal computers or laptops. Instead, these devices will be replaced by smartphones and web-capable thin clients. Those are markets not dominated by Microsoft operating systems, and are thus not dominated by Internet Explorer.
And this is where Google's Chrome browser comes into the picture. Google is promising to take web browsing to the next level by delivering an upgraded JavaScript engine capable of delivering more complex web applications than currently possible. While Chrome might still find it extremely difficult to get a foothold in a market dominated by Internet Explorer, once you marry Google Chrome to Google's Android Operating System designed for the mobile market, you have a browser capable of conquering the new frontier.

It would help better or more if I knew what you were doing when the PC restarted and how often it occurs. But, not withstanding that I would need to know a little bit more I can properly diagnose your problem, there are 6 major reasons for a computer to be restarting on its own.
- A virus
- Overheating
- Faulty memory chip
- Insufficient memory
- Bad or incorrectly configured software or windows drivers
- Misconfiguration of some of you hardware
Assuming you have no viruses the problem could be that your components are overheating, many of the desktops being built these days come with motherboards that will restart or even shutdown once they overheat. Try putting your PC somewhere thats a little bit cooler and also where its less likely to gather dust as this will affect the fans performance. I would also recommend that you purchase a can of compress air, it sells for about JA$500 at any computer store (Computer Royal just to name one). This will effectively clean up your mother board like it just came from off the production line; instructions on how to use the compress air are on the bottle.
If you do have a virus I would recommend AVAST antivirus software that is out performing Norton these days.
If you do have incorrectly configured software or hardware it would mean that your computer would restart whenever you are trying to use the incorrectly configured item. For me to help troubleshoot must first know more details of your case.
Failing all this you need to get your PC check out by a trained professional for further trouble shooting.
Zoners this is also where you come in, help AJ giving him some tips of your own. Feel free also to PM me to on anything you assume that I might have overlooked.

This is how you activate your Windows Server 2008 copy (any version/language):
use this patch: Windows Developer activator for Vista & Server 2008 - all version
* After installing Windows Server 2008 to your computer, click Start -> Run
and type Services (or go to Start -> Program -> Admin tools and choose services
from there). Go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Disabled" as Startup method.
* Reboot your computer, when rebooted, go to
C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\ Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
and delete the tokens.dot file there, replacing it with the one from this package.
Yet again, go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Automatic" as Startup method.
* Run the vistaactivation.exe file (as included), activate your computer as if it was
running Vista Ultimate. (Should any errors occur, just neglect them.) Restart your
computer.
