Download, Edit, Play and Convert Videos from YouTube, MyVideo, GoogleVideo, Metacafe, sevenload, MySpace, VideU & ClipFish!
Thousands of videos have been made available via applicable online
portals such as YouTube, VideU, MyVideo, ClipFish and GoogleVideo. They
offer amusing fun videos, film trailers, snippets of cult movies and
serious documentations. However, on the Net there is frequently a
view-only policy download not possible.
This has now been changed by the Ashampoo ClipFisher. All you need to
do is to copy a videos current http:// address from the web browser
and paste it into Ashampoo ClipFisher: immediately, the cunning tool
will be flexing its download muscles and starting to transfer the film to your hard drive. In this way, compiling your own little (or big, for that matter) video library is no problem at all.
Converting Online Videos to Windows Format
Of course, the programme has yet more to offer. Once downloaded, its
possible, for instance, to play the Flash films straight away in
Ashampoo ClipFisher. If you want to, you may also convert your films to
WMV, the Windows standard format. When converting, Ashampoo ClipFisher
will be happy to adjust the film at hand to your individual
requirements.
For instance, adjusting the screen
resolution while moderately curbing quality in order for the final
converted film to take up less storage capacity is no problem at all.
If its still too large, you may enter a maximum value in megabytes.
Once this value has been reached, Ashampoo ClipFisher will simply break
down the video file into several easy-to-handle fragments.
Highlights:
* Transfers videos from YouTube, MyVideo, ClipFish, Metacafe, sevenload, VideU, MySpace and GoogleVideo
* Saves online videos in Flash format (FLV)
* Converts films to WMV format
* Breaks down excessive-sized videos by splitting them into smaller units
* Adjusts the videos size and quality to your individual requirements
* Auto-aspect ratio maintains the correct proportions
* All settings may be fine-tuned manually
* Integrated player plays all videos straight away
Note:
1- Microsoft .NET Framework 2 Included
2- Enjoy!,

Ashampoo Office 2008 - the powerful choice of professionals. No computer is properly complete without its own Office package. Office assists in the compilation of texts of all kinds, in the completion of spreadsheet calculations and in the preparation of expressive presentations. In these tasks, Microsoft Office is the generally accepted standard, as its formats are established and the functions it offers are continually required. However: many users are unable to afford the Office suite.
This is where the Ashampoo Office 2008 steps in. The program only occupies a limited amount of storage space on the hard drive, is very stable and still offers all of those Office functions which genuinely need to be used in private or in business environments. A fair price that all users can afford without problem also ensures that the Ashampoo Office 2008 is rapidly winning new friends. Its simple menu prompting and ease of use allows users of other Office solutions a problem-free switchover.
It goes without saying that the most important thing is the fact that reading and writing in the original Word, Excel and PowerPoint files without losses of content or in terms of formatting presents no problem for the Ashampoo Office 2008. That means that every user of the Ashampoo Office is able to open, modify and then save a Word file in exactly the same way as if the work had been done in Word itself.
Ashampoo Office 2008 is supplied with the word processing tool Ashampoo TextMarker, the spreadsheet program Ashampoo PlanMaker and brand new in the current version the presentations software Ashampoo Presentations.

As designers, we always admired Nokias design fundamentals during its climb to become the worlds largest cellphone producer.
Ever willing to take on risks and push envelops, Nokia created uniquely shaped cell phones, such as the circular dials on Nokia 3650, which challenge the notions of what a mobile phone really is.
Unfortunately, that all changed when the company reached the #1 spot. Driven by cost cutting and profitability, Nokias phones begin to look more like commoditized products.
Its refusal to adopt market driven forces, like the slimmer calm-shell design, meant the company is losing its edge to LG, Samsung, RIM, and the newcomer at the time, Apple. But that is about to change as Nokia announced its newest flagship product this morning at Nokia World 2008 in Barcelona - the N97.
Though somewhat late to the game, the N97 might just be the game changer and the true iPhone Killer everyone is talking about. Iterated by Nokia executives as a mobile computer and rightfully so, the Nokia N97 is awash in features that users been demanding for sometime. Dominated by a 3.5-inch touch screen with a full QWERTY keyboard that slide out, the new phone c****ine the best of both Apple iPhone and RIM Blackberry. Other features include:
- A whopping 32GB of storage and is expandable to 48GB
- Wi-Fi, FM Radio, A-GPS
- 2 cameras, including a 5-megapixel with autofocus, dual-LED flash, and Carl Zeiss lens
- Easy access to online contents and web sites, including Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter
The Nokia N97 will launch in Europe early 2009 with US soon to follow. For more photos and demo videos after jump.
The E55 is the first model in the E-series with a semi-QWERTY keyboard where one key share two character. This is a feature found in many Blackberry models as well as Sony Ericsson P1. In my opinion, the E55 is a very slim and elegant device with aluminium parts and excellent build quality. Nokia E75 is a slider model with a full QWERTY keyboard extractable on on the side. Comparing E75 with the upcoming Nokia N97 is not fear but I think the N97 keyboard design and extraction solution is much better.
Both devices also come standard with Nokia Messaging that, when added to the company's corporate email clients, gives people the most efficient solution for accessing the world's consumer and corporate email on the go.
"Efficiency is about doing more with less and focusing on what's truly essential," says Kai Oistamo, Executive Vice President at Nokia. "With direct access to Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes, companies can potentially save up to a third of their operating costs as there's no need for middleware or additional servers."
With the latest E-series devices, people will no longer need to boot up a PC to get a full desktop email experience. The enhanced email UI includes folder and HTML email support, expandable views and sorting capability by date, sender and size, as well as the most commonly used email functions just a single click away. On top of email, the devices also offer improved calendar capability, as well as contacts and task management. "With the Nokia E75 we took a lot of inspiration from the Nokia 9300, which was our first mini communicator," adds Oistamo. "Owners of the Nokia 9300 loved the messaging functionality a full keyboard provided, but also used the traditional phone keypad a great deal. With the Nokia E75 we kept these essential ingredients, significantly upgraded all of the features and made it as compact as possible."
"When we launched the Nokia E71 last year, we really set a new standard for just how compact a full QWERTY device could be," continues Oistamo. "We have continued on this theme and have come back with the world's most compact messaging device, the Nokia E55." With the benefits of a compact QWERTY keyboard - as well as one click access to the most commonly use programs - reading, managing and responding to emails is quick and efficient. Another standout feature is the extensive battery life, with the Nokia E55 providing up to "8 days of standby time.
"With the Nokia E55 we have made messaging as efficient and pocketable as possible," continues Oistamo. "In our usage tests, the Nokia E55's compact QWERTY keyboard has been proven to be fast to learn and quicker to use than standard phone keypads."
Added to the Nokia Messaging service, both devices come with full Nokia Maps and assisted GPS with integrated 3-month license for turn-by-turn navigation, and a great gaming experience with N-Gage on board. With Ovi Files, also included on the Nokia E75, important files stored on a PC can be remotely managed and shared, even when your PC is switched off.
The new handsets come in the wake of the most successful year for Eseries to date, with more than 10 million units shipped in "008. "With companies looking to consolidate costs and assets, and with the number of email-enabled devices in the Nokia range and our direct access model, Nokia look set to continue this performance in "009," concludes Oistamo.
The Nokia E75 is expected to ship in March at an estimated retail price of 375 EUR, before taxes and subsidies. The Nokia E55 is expected to ship in the second quarter at an estimated retail price will be "65 EUR, before taxes and subsidies.

According to Nokia, N86 8MP is the first camera phone with variable aperture. The optics are made by a company famous for its lenses. It is a Tessar lens from Carl Zeiss. The variable aperture has the f-stop of F2.4, F3.2 or F4.8. The aperture is set automatically by the phone and it is not possible to do this manually. A larger aperture (smaller F-number) separates the object in focus from the rest of the image. The focal length is 28mm (equivalent to 35mm) which is quite wide for a mobile phone camera.
The fastest shutter speed is according to the official specifications limited to 1/1000 second. According to Nokia, this is a conservative number and N86 can have a faster speed in the final product.
Nokia N86 also have excellent video camera. It will record video clips in VGA resolution (640x480) at 30 frames per second. The front camera is of CIF type and records video up to 15 fps in 352x288 pixel resolution.
Nokia N86 does not have the more powerful Xenon flash but instead it has a dual LED, 3rd generation. The advantage with the dual LED is that it makes it usable for both lightening up your video recording as well as still photography.
Another new feature introduced in the N86 is how panorama photos are taken. The first photo is captured as normal, and the N86 is moved slightly to the left or right for framing of the second shot. This is where the new feature comes to play. You are guided with this second framing. The first picture is displayed on the screen and you are told to move more to the right or left for the second shot. A visual indication will tell you when you can capture the next photo.
The N86 Photos taken with the N86 can be geotagged and uploaded to Nokias Ovi Share or Flickr. Captured photos with geotaggs are visually marked in the Map application. Via Nokias Ovi service, it is possible to upload and share a walked route and include the photos you have captured on the way. The Nokia N86 8MP comes with a built-in compass, along with and integrated 3-months license for full voice and pedestrian navigation.
N86 has 8 GB memory built in and this can be expanded with a 16 GB microSD card. The built in 8 GB memory should have room for up to 4.000 photos.
Both the display itself and the rest of the N86 front is protected entirely by a scratch resistant hardened glass. The front glass is fastened by a metal frame and which is a good c****ination for protecting the front part of the camera.
I have seen several A3 prints of photos taken with the N86 and I think they was of good quality. They could not compete with DSLR quality of course, and it was possible to see the artifacts caused by the JPEG compression. On the other hand. A3 prints are often meant to be looked at from a distance.
Nokia N86 comes in two colour variants. Indigo Black (greyish) and white and should be available in stores second quarter of 2009.

Last year at the Mobile World Congress, we saw that many manufactures used the term "With Touch Display" as THE marketing word. This year, all manufactures have at least one model with touch display as the main input method so they needed something else to differentiate themselves from the rest. Application Store, Megapixel, Windows Mobile 6.5, Android and Symbian has been the promo word of MWC2009. Except from Palm and LG that is. LG, with its Arena is having ease of navigation as it main feature. From what I have seen, I must say they have succeeded with this. The Arena is using a brand new interface where your finger and its gestures are in focus. LG call this new interface for S-Class UI which they tell us are specially designed to enhance the phones multimedia features. I wonder if the term S-Class is loaned from Mercedes luxury car models?
On the Arena, the desktop screen looks very much like the Apple iPhone. You can not deny that. But LG has done something Apple haven't. They have made the menu icons personalized. When holding the LG in portrait mode, you have four row of icons and they are grouped into Communication, Multimedia, Utilities and Settings rows. They can be scrolled sideways and the order of appearance can be changed. In portrait mode 4 x 4 icons are visible. If you turn the Arena 90 degrees into landscape mode, the size of the icons are reduced, and the will have access to them all. Still four rows, but now with 8 icons per row. I asked about the maximum number application short-cuts, and was told that these 32 was maximum. It is possible to install Java applications on the LG Arena, but I did not have the opportunity to find out where such 3rd part applications will be found. At the bottom of the screen when holding it in portrait mode, you will find four icons which are fixed and will always be visible. These are the applications Phone, Contacts, Messaging and Cube (main menu). Below this again, outside of the display, we will find another three essential buttons. Call, Cube and Cancel.
The LG Arena LG-KM900 which is the full name of the device, has a virtual keyboard which is of number type when Arena is held in portrait mode, and it will automatically switch to QWERTY mode in Landscape mode.
The navigation is in my opinion the most spectacular with this device, but it also have a new feature I haven't heard from a phone yet: Dolby Mobile sound. You will need to connect earplugs or use the TV-out connection to experience this enhanced sound capability as the one built-in speaker is mono only.
Arena will be available in stores in Europe in the beginning of April this year. It will be interesting to find out more about this phone. We do not know anything about the day-to-day usage and important things like battery capacity for example.
If it wasnt clear enough from the recent price drops on both NVIDIA and ATI video cards our review today should put it all in perspective, its time for another round of new video cards. Today weve got NVIDIA launching their latest bit of high-end technology, the GeForce GTX 295. This is the successor to the late 9800 GX2 and 7950 GX2 before it in the dual GPU, single video card segment. It promises to be the fastest video card to ever grace a single PCI-E slot, trying to outpace the reigning heavyweight champ, ATIs Radeon HD 4870X2.
While NVIDIA had a great single card solution in the GeForce GTX 280, the existing design and production technology behind it didnt lend itself well to doubling up the GPUs into a single card. Today NVIDIA has finally caught back up in the war to shrink its GPUs into the smallest manufacturing process currently available, 55nm. With the die shrink they were able to reign in power consumption and with just 289W TDP (Total Dissipated Watts) Id say theyve done a great job.
The front of the GeForce GTX 295 is covered by a black metal front cover for no reason other than to offer protection for the components located behind it. What makes this cover different than say the one found on the GeForce 9800 GX2 is the fact that soft touch paint is used for a matte look and feel. Looking at the GTX 295, I have to say that its more appealing than the 9800 GX2.The upper exhaust area is larger on the GTX 295 as well which should help keep this monster cooler. The fan looks to be a carryover from the old GX2 and does a great job staying quiet, yet keeping everything cool.
The two GPUs used in the GeForce GTX 295 have specifications that sit between the GeForce GTX 260 and GTX 280. Each GPU features the full array of 240 processing cores and 80 texture filtering units. The processor cores and filtering units operate at 1242 MHz and 576 MHz respectively. Each GPU features seven ROP and framebuffer partitions. Each ROP partition contains four ROP units, providing each GPU with 28 ROP units. Each framebuffer partition is connected to 128 MB of memory, totaling 896 MB of video memory for each GPU. That brings the overall memory on the card up to 1792 MB, which is no doubt a strange amount of memory. The total number of processing cores would be 480 and that makes this card one that should perform with the best of them.
The back of the card is not covered at all, which is strange considering the GeForce 9800 GX2 was covered by a metal casing on all sides.
Here is what the internals of the cable look like:
Internal Cable Structure and Color Coding
Inside the cable, there are 8 color coded wires. These wires are twisted into 4 pairs of wires, each pair has a common color theme. One wire in the pair being a solid or primarily solid colored wire and the other being a primarily white wire with a colored stripe (Sometimes cables won't have any color on the striped wire, the only way to tell which is which is to check which wire it is twisted around). Examples of the naming schemes used are: Orange (alternatively Orange/White) for the solid colored wire and White/Orange for the striped cable. The twists are extremely important. They are there to counteract noise and interference. It is important to wire according to a standard to get proper performance from the cable. The TIA/EIA-568-A specifies two wiring standards for an osition modular connector such as RJ45. The two wiring standards, T568A and T568B vary only in the arrangement of the colored pairs. Tom writes to say "...sources suggest using T568A cabling since T568B is the AT&T standard, but the US Government specifies T568A since it matches USOC cabling for pairs 1 & 2, which allows it to work for 1/2 line phones...". Your choice might be determined by the need to match existing wiring, jacks or personal preference, but you should maintain consistency. I've shown both below for straight through cabling and just T568B for cross over cabling.
RJ45 jacks come in a variety styles intended for several different mounting options. The choice is one of requirements and preference. RJ45 jacks are designed to work only with solid cable. Most jacks come labeled with color codes for either T568A, T568B or both. Make sure you end up with the correct one.

+Note: The cross over cable layout is suitable for 1000Base-T operation, all 4 pairs are crossed.
If a cable tester is available, use it to verify the proper connectivity of the cable. That should be it, if your cable doesn't turn out, look closely at each end and see if you can find the problem. Often a wire ended up in the wrong place or one of the wires is making no contact or poor contact. Also double check the color coding to verify it is correct. If you see a mistake or problem, cut the end off and start again. A cable tester is invaluable at identifying and highlighting these issues.
When sizing cables remember that an end to end connection should not extend more than 100m (~328ft). Try to minimize the cable length, the longer the cable becomes, the more it may affect performance. This is usually noticeable as a gradual decrease in speed and increase in latency.

Since the first Nokia Navigator made its appearance two years ago, the company has been updating and improving its location based services steadily and has now introduced the latest arrival in its Navigator line, the Nokia 6710 Navigator. Another new arrival is the Nokia 6720 classic, which builds on the Nokia heritage of traditional candybar phones that excel in all areas.
I was given a demonstration of the Maps application which also will be available for a couple of other existing Nokia devices later. It has a couple of nice features specially interesting for pedestrians. It is something called 3D view where it is possible to change orientation around buildings in 3D. Another cool feature is the terrain mode where mountains and like are show on the map.
"The navigation solution provided by the Nokia 6710 Navigator is second to none and provides everything you would expect from a dedicated GPS device with all the benefits of a converged mobile device," says Markku Suomi, vice president at Nokia. The solution includes the latest developments in the Maps software with real time 'drive and walk' navigation, full regional maps and hardware elements like the dedicated navigator key, touch area for easy zooming and a large display optimized for outdoor viewing. "We want to make the experience as simple and effective as possible, which means the navigation licenses are pre-installed and ready to use as soon as you turn on the Navigator," continues Suomi.

Palm is for many a brand for the US marked, which was demonstrated by having the announcement of the new model during the Consumer Electronics Association (CES) in Las Vegas last month. The first batch of Pre will only be available to the US network operator Sprint in the first half of 2009.
I was given a demonstration of the Palm webOS during the first day of Mobile World Congress. What I saw impressed me much. The hardware might not be of top range in terms of top-of-the-range specification, but the user interface sure is. The Pre runs on Palms newly developed webOS and are currently only supporting EVDO networks which not are common in the Europe. We will have to wait for a GSM version of the palm. There are negotiations with some European operators, so we will hopefully see it here in the near future. Today I was also demonstrated the Samsung Omnia HD, LG Arena KM900 and HTC Touch HD, Nokia N97, Sony Ericsson X1 and Garmin-Asus nüvifone G60 which can be classified as the high-end models from the competitors. In my opinion, the different versions of Symbian driven devices is the only one comparable with the webOS. All Windows Mobile devices manufactures put their own "layer" on top of Windows Mobile, and for some models, this layer works quite well. But you will eventually enter the usual of Windows Mobile interface somewhere down the menu system. And that means the your finger must be replaced by a stylus. Some of the Windows Mobile devices do not even have a hardware keyboard making it a little difficult to enter text.
The Palm Pre is a slider model and it is possible to use the phone without the keys extracted. It has a touch screen in addition to a small touch sensible area below the display. This area are used for main finger gestures like entering the main menu etc.
Every open application will have its own small "window" and dragging a finger across the screen will scroll trough them all. Since this is a multitasking OS, all windows, except the video player, will have their own life doing it did when you left it. If you started to scroll down the contact list just before you left a window, it will continue to scroll even if the window is hidden. The Pre does not have any close-button. Just drag the window out of the top part of the screen and it will close/end. The demonstration lasted for 15 minutes so it I can not write about everything I saw, but it was impressive and intuitive way.
Most of the user information stored on the Pre is seamlessly linked together, just as it should be in the perfect device. Contact details can be downloaded from a Facebook or Gmail account. I do not recall everything here, but everything just seemed correct. And no, it was not cute a female Palm representative doing the demo.
Some of the finger gestures possible on the Palm Pre is similar to the one used for zooming on Apple iPhone. It has been much talk about the Apple patent for their zoom gesture. On a direct question about this patent, the Palm tech guy told me he would/could not give me an answer and directed me to the marketing people. I never talked to them, but later that day I spoke to Synaptics, a company developing touch screen interfaces, which told me that the Apple patent did not apply to their products. I was told the patent is for a algorithm calculating the horizontal and vertical movement of a finger and there are no need to use that particular algorithm for finger gestures.
Palm Pre is an always on device requiring a connection to the Internet. You should go for unlimited data plan when purchasing a Palm Pre.
The W995 has a 2.6 inch display, 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus and face detection. It has a 3.5mm audio jack, shake control and the usual Walkman player media application.
During the same press event, Sony Ericsson announced a new service called Media Go. Media Go will be available at the same time W995 is out. Media Go is a Sony service which will make it very easy to sync media content to W995 (and future SE phones). Media Go will transfer, play and organise music, photos, videos and p*o*dcast to and from the W995 to the best quality possible. No need to thing about video frame rates etc.
